The purpose of this study is to assess potential effects of the effects of Korean Medicine treatments on condyloma. Retrospective study of 194 patients with diagnosed condyloma in Saengki Korean Medicine Clinic from October 2013 to September 2018 was done. Patients were treated with Korean Medicine treatments such as herbal treatment, pharmacopuncture and moxibustion. The data has been analyzed by chi-squared distribution and t-test. A total of 194 patients were 148 males and 46 females. In the aspect of diagnosis, newly diagnosed patients were 96 and recurrent patients were 98. After the treatment, in the light of size complete clearances were 110 patients, partial clearances were 63 and non responses were 21. And in the light of number complete clearances were 110 patients, partial clearances were 68 and non responses were 16. In complete clearance group, the relation among the treatment period, sex, age, and the site of wart showed statistically significant. There were 3 recurrences of warts in the 6 months of follow-up observation for 110 of clearance group. No major side effects related to the treatment were found. As the result of t-test shows, the Korean Medicine treatment we had applied revealed as statistically effective on both number(t=11.471, p<.001) and size(t=11.951, p<.001) of the wart. The result of this study suggests that additional treatment of Korean medicine such as acupuncture and moxibustion treatment could be effective on condyloma patients.
As the concept of "marriage age" gradually disappears, the consumption class of the wedding market includes not only X and Y generations but also Z generations, and each generation has its own characteristics as it is already known, and there are differences in the consumption. So this research analyzed age-related behavior differences in both awareness of and preparation for marriage. Three hundred sixteen unmarried Korean males and females comprised the study population and data was collected from March 5, 2019, to April 3, 2019. The SPSS Statistics 23.0 Package was used for analysis, specifically the functions of frequency, cross tabulation, factor analysis, chi-squared test, Cronbach's alpha, Duncans's new multiple range test (MRT), and analysis of variance (ANOVA). Marriage motivation was analyzed by three factors, and there were significant differences in two types. Marital involvement was analyzed by two factors, and both factors showed significant age-related differences. Concerns relating to marriage preparation were analyzed by four factors, and two varied according to respondent age. Regarding marriage preparation behaviors, the analysis revealed that the marriage preparation method appreciably differed between age groups. Our analysis also found significant age-related differences in "the main media usually used to acquire information" and "the paths preferred for acquiring information in preparing for marriage". We expect that study results will be useful for identifying new research directions, understanding the dimensions of the wedding industry, and developing related marketing strategies.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to compare the oral health statuses pre- and post-insurance using the $5^{th}$ and $6^{th}$ National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey data to confirm the effect of scaling insurance after a year. Methods: Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS ver. 21.0 (IBM Co., Armonk, NY, USA). The four years were integrated, and a composite sample analysis was performed. A total of 26,990 people were included in the study before applying for scaling insurance (14,343 persons) or after receiving scaling insurance (12,647 persons). A chi-squared test was performed to compare the demographic characteristics and oral health status of the subjects. The significance level of the statistical test was 0.05. Results: The proportion of patients without implants was high before the provision of scaling insurance once a year, however, the proportion of patients with one or more implants was high (p<0.05) after the provision of scaling insurance once a year. Hemorrhagic periodontal tissues and tartar formation in periodontal tissues were highly prevalent before the provision of scaling insurance once a year, however, healthy periodontal tissues and formation of periodontal pockets were highly prevalent (p<0.05) after the provision of scaling insurance once a year. The decay, missing, and filled teeth index scores were higher before the provision of scaling insurance once a year (p<0.05). Conclusions: The aforementioned results showed that scaling once a year helps prevent or treat periodontal disease. In addition, we confirmed the effect of prevention on periodontal disease and dental caries, therefore, we expect it to develop into a stable policy.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a smart-care services program for breast cancer survivors on cognitive function and physical health. Methods: A quasi-experimental control group pretest posttest design was used. Subjects were recruited in D city, and data were collected from July 2017 to February 2018. The experimental group (n=24) participated in the smart-care services program, whereas the control group (n=26) received conventional management. The smart-care services program consisted of addressing cognitive function problems arising from chemotherapy, diet, exercise, head/neck massage and self-monitoring using smartphone applications and smart bands. All participants underwent assessments at baseline, at 6 weeks, and at 12 weeks. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation), a chi-squared test, t-test, and repeated measures ANOVA. Results: After the smart-care services program, significant differences were found between the groups in cognitive function (F=18.91, p<.001) and sleep time (F=9.25, p<.001). No significant differences were found between the groups in caloric consumption after the program. Conclusion: The smart-care services program significantly improved the level of cognitive function and sleep time for breast cancer survivors. The use of this smart-care services program for breast cancer survivors might be an effective nursing intervention tool for improving cognitive function and health behaviors.
Purpose: To evaluate the effect of a gymnastics program for eight weeks to maintain better body composition and decrease fatigue among factory workers. Methods: Data were collected in 54 female workers in their 50s and 60s in a factory located in the S city of the K region between April and July in 2019. The subjects were divided into two groups: 1) experimental group (n=27) received a 30 minute-gymnastics program three times per week, and 2) control group participated in lecture series about the principle and effect of the gymnastics program. Body composition and fatigue levels were measured before and after the intervention and analyzed using the SPSS 23.0 program. To evaluate the differences in demographic and clinical characteristics between the experimental and control groups, the chi-squared test and the t-test were used. Repeated measures two-way ANOVA was performed to evaluate the change between outcomes of the pre-and post-investigation. Pairwise comparisons were used to assess the differences between the groups and the time. Results: There are statistically significant differences in body fat mass (p<.001), body fat percentage (p<.001), basal metabolic rate (p<.001), and body mass index (p<.022) in the experimental group compared to the control group. In particular, there is a significant interaction between the groups and the time in body fat mass (F=6.308, p=.015), basal metabolic rate (F=11.397, p=.001), fatigue (F=6.933, p=.011). Conclusion: Our findings suggest that using the gymnastics program helps women in their 50s and 60s who work in factories promote better body composition and reduce fatigue levels.
PURPOSE. To assess the clinical performance of monolithic CAD-CAM lithium disilicate glass-ceramic (LDGC) crowns and metal-ceramic (MC) crowns provided by predoctoral students. This study also assessed the effects of patient and provider-related factors on their clinical performance as well as patient preference for these types of crowns. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Twenty-five patients who received 50 crowns (25 LDGC CAD-CAM and 25 MC) provided by predoctoral students were retrospectively examined. LDGC CAD-CAM crowns were milled in-house using the CEREC Bluecam system and cemented with either RelyX Unicem or Calibra Esthetic resin cements. MC crowns were cemented with RelyX Unicem cement. Clinical assessment of the crowns and the supporting periodontal structures were performed following the modified California Dental Association (CDA) criteria. Patients' preference was recorded using a visual analog scale (VAS). The results were statistically analyzed using log-rank test, Pearson Chi-squared test and Kaplan-Meier survival analysis. RESULTS. Twelve complications were observed in the MC crown group (9-esthetic, 2-technical and 1-biological). In comparison, 2 complications in the LDGC CAD-CAM crown group were observed (1-technical and 1-esthetic). The 6-year cumulative survival rates for MC crowns and LDGC CAD-CAM were 90.8% and 96%, respectively, whereas the success rates were 83.4% and 96%, respectively. Overall, patients preferred the esthetic outcomes of LDGC CAD-CAM crowns over MC crowns. CONCLUSION. The high survival and success rates, low number of complications, and the high level of patients' acceptance of monolithic LDGC CAD-CAM crowns lend them well as predictable and viable alternatives to the "gold standard" MC crowns.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of elderly motorcycle accidents according to data from elderly inpatients to prepare prevention measures for the elderly against injury in motorcycle accidents. Chi-squared test, independent sample t-test, and canonical correlation analysis were performed on the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency's National Hospital Discharge In-depth Injury Survey data from 2015 to 2019, from which the records of 1,384 elderly inpatients hospitalized because of motorcycle accidents were obtained. intracranial injury(S06) was the most common care and treatment characteristic for both age groups. The most frequent injury site was the head and neck, and the most frequent injury type was a fracture. The above findings show that prevention education and policy formulation at the national level are necessary to identify and manage the factors of elderly motorcycle accidents. This study provides basic data for developing measures and policies to prevent and reduce injuries, making it significant for public health causes.
Purpose : This retrospective study aims to provide basic data for intervention to improve clinical outcomes and identify the characteristics of the rebound hyperthermia (RHG) and non-rebound hyperthermia (NRHG) groups by checking body temperature in patients with post-cardiac arrest syndrome. Method : The study involved 118 patients who completed target temperature management (TTM) in an acute-care unit. Data were analyzed for frequency, percentages, mean, standard deviation, median, and quartiles, and compared using the chi-squared test and Mann-Whitney U-test. Results : Rebound hyperthermia (RH) was observed in 74 (62.7%) patients, predominantly male (69.5%), with an average age of 64.54 ± 15.98, and a body mass index of 23.22 ± 4.75kg/m2 (overweight). Hypertension (50%) was the most common co-morbidity, followed by diabetes and heart disease (33.1%). Neuron-specific enolase levels were higher in the NRHG 24, 48, and 72 hours after recovery of spontaneous circulation (p = .037, p < .001, p = .008). The APHCHE IV was also higher in the NRHG (p < .001). RH occurred 25.49 (7.28-52.96) hours after TTM completion, lasting for 2 (1-3) hours. Temperature reduction strategies included notifying doctors, administering antipyretics, and nursing intervention, with the latter being the most common at 94.6%. Half of the subjects in the RHG and 77.3% in the NRHG fell into cerebral performance categories 3, 4, and 5 (p = .003). Conclusion : RH is more likely a body mechanism related to CPR and TTM than a result of pathogenic infection. Therefore, we require an active intervention for hyperthermia, and a patient-specific nursing intervention protocol.

The purpose of this study is to prepare basic data that can be applied to the development of personalized programs in which chronic patients can actively participate in health care on their own, by analyzing the relationship between health literacy, level of metal health, and level of life health of patients with chronic diseases. For the study, the Korean Medical Panel's annual data(Version 2.1) was used, and 4,095 people aged 19 or older with chronic diseases and without disabilities were extracted, and frequency analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and chi-squared goodness of fit test, etc. were performed with IBM SPSS Statistics 26.0. As a result, it was found that the higher health literacy, the higher level of mental health and level of life health. In addition, the distribution between health literacy, level of mental health, and level of life health was found to be different from each other. Respondents with higher ability to health literacy tend to evaluate level of metal health and life health lower, and the rate of change in this trend was relatively higher than the rate of change in the tendency to evaluate level of mental health and life health higher in respondents with lower ability to health literacy.
Purpose: This study aimed to identify the distinctions in dietary and health-related behaviors among Indonesian women who marry Koreans or into multicultural families (MF) and those who marry Indonesians living in Korea (IK) and in Indonesia (II). Methods: The study was performed with 192 subjects using an online questionnaire regarding food choice, dietary and health behavior, and nutrition quotient (NQ). The analysis used Pearson's chi-squared test, the Fisher's exact test, multinomial logistic regression, and the general linear model. Results: The MF group consumed Korean food more than once a day and Indonesian food 1-2 times monthly (p < 0.001). The main challenge for the IK and II groups in consuming Korean food was the presence of pork and the different food flavors (p < 0.001). The MF group tended to have normal body mass index, consumed more vitamin and mineral supplements (p = 0.014), and exercised regularly ≥150 min/week compared to the IK and II groups (p < 0.001). However, the MF group had the highest rate of skipping breakfast (p = 0.040). When evaluating the NQ of the participants, the MF group consumed more vegetables (p = 0.026), mixed grains (p = 0.031), and spicy and salt soups (p = 0.006). The II group consumed more fish (p = 0.005), beans (p = 0.009), and nuts (p = 0.003). The IK group checked the nutrition labels the most (p = 0.005), while their consumption of vegetables, fish, beans, and nuts was lowest. The MF group had a higher balance score, which resulted in a substantially more nutritious food intake compared to the other two groups (p = 0.037). Conclusion: The MF group consumed more vegetables and mixed grains, adequate fish, beans, and nuts, and engaged in longer daily physical activity. However, the IK group had a relatively low-quality diet and nutritional intake status compared to the other two groups, and this needs to be improved in the future.
