The systematic study on the bryozoans from the South SEa in Korea was done with the materials collected at 49 localities from 1965 to 1991. As a result, 57 species in two suborders of cheilostomaous bryozoans were identified, which seven species, Electra tenella, Labioporella bursaria, Dendrobeania longispinosa, Sinupetraliella gigantea, Cryptosula pallasiana, Hippopodina feegeensis and Durystomella bilabiata were new to Korean fauna. The unrecorded species and the species which need remarking were described with plates.

한국산 섬유이끼벌레 속(Celleporaria)의 2종을 보고한다. 신종인 세모섬유이끼벌레(Celleporaria triangula)와 북태평양으로부터 처음으로 보고하는 종인 갈색섬유이끼벌레(Celleporaria fusca)를 기재한다.

Three cheilostomatous bryozoans from Korean waters were identified. Thalamoporella sibogae Soule, Soule and Chaney, 1992 and Schizomavella acuta Osburn, 1952 are new to Korea, and Buffonellaria acutirostris is new to the bryozoans fauna. S. acuta and B. acutirostris n. sp. are described with figures.

Three species in the genus Aetea (Bryozoa: Cheilostomata: Aeteidae) are described: Aetea anguina (Linnaeus, 1758), A. ligulata Busk, 1852, and A. truncata (Landsborough, 1852). Aetea ligulata Busk, 1852 and A. truncata (Landsborough, 1852) are new records of Korean bryozoan fauna. Four of the 17 species in the genus Aetea Lamouroux, 1812 are cosmopolitan or widespread. Three of these species (Aetea sica (Couch, 1844) was not observed) are reported in this study.

We performed a taxonomic study on Korean Pacificincolidae (Bryozoa: Cheilostomata) with the materials collected from 39 localities(ports, intertidal and subtidal zones) in the coastal seas of South Korea from 1981 to 2020. Korean Mucronella perforata reported by Rho and Seo (1985) turned out to be not Pacificincola perforata, but Primavelans glabricollaris n. sp. based on morphological data. Pacificincola perforata, which was transferred from Mucronella perforata (Okada and Mawatari, 1937), is also added to the Korean fauna. This study is the first to use mitochondrial 16S rRNA gene sequences to study the family Paficincolidae. The NJ analysis also reconfirmed the validity of the genus Primavelans, established on the basis of the early astogeny by De Blauwe in 2006, with the mitochondrial 16S rRNA sequences. The inter-genetic distance among two species belong to the Pacificincolidae was in the range of 13.39±1.83 mm. Primavelans glabricollaris n. sp. is thus distinguished from Pacificincola perforata with both morphological and molecular data. A new species, Primavelans glabricollaris, and a new record, Pacificincola perforata from Korea are herein described in detail and illustrated by scanning electron microscopy.

한국산 막이끼벌레상과의 2신종, Conopeum hexagonum과 Gregarinidr corbula을 보 고한다. 이 두 속은 한국에서는 처음으로 보고되는 속이다. 전자는 개충의 모양이 후자는 극 의 수가 특징적이다.

지금까지 Watersipora subovoidea와 Dakaria subovoidea로 보고되어 왔던 한국산 Watersipora 1종을 Watersipora subtorquata(d'Orbigny, 1842)의 동종이명으로 보고하고자 한다. 또한 충실구의 형태와 크기가 특징적인 Watersipora platypora를 신종으로 보고한다. 이로서 한국산 Watersipora 속에 속한느 종은 Watersipora subtorquata와 Watersipora platypora 두종이다.

A new species of bryozoan, Bicellariella fragilis n. sp. is reported from Jejudo Island, Korea. It was collected at Munseom I. and Supseom I. off Seogwipo city by the fishing net and SCUBA diving from 1978 to 2009. The new species has characteristics of four to five dorso-distal spines and two proximal spines, whereas ten to twelve spines of B. sinica are not separated into two groups of the distal and proximal ones. And this species shows the difference from B. levinseni in having no avicularium.

A new parasmittinid bryozoan, Parasmittina pyriformis, is reported from four localities in Korea. This new species closely resembles Parasmittina trispinosa in having one to three spines and a triangular avicularium lateral to the orifice. However, P. pyriformis is characteristic in that a single or paired small pear-shaped avicularia are situated lateral to the orifice and a triangular avicularium occurs in laterals to the orifice or on the frontal wall. The new species is also unique in having two spines in most zooids, but rarely one or three spines, whereas P. trispinosa usually has three spines, sometimes two or four.

만재도의 조하대로부터 1988년 8월 23일에 채집된 태형동물을 분류한 결과 맞채찍이끼벌레 (Crepidacantha poissoni)와 항아리이끼벌레 (Hippothoa distans)의 2종이 한국미기록종으로 밝혀졌다. 채찍이끼벌레과 (Crepidacanthidae)는 우리나라에서 처음으로 보고된다.
