An integrated fault diagnosis system for heterogeneous manufacturing environments is developed. This system has a contrast with existing diagnosis systems in the respect that they are mostly for diagnosing faults on individual machines. In addition to the usual (e.g., audio, electrical) diagnostic signals, the characteristics of products from the machines are considered as the unifying diagnostic parameters among heterogeneous machines in the diagnosis. The system is composed of a knowledge representation scheme and a diagnostic query processing mechanism. Its knowledge representation scheme allows the diagnostic knowledges from heterogeneous unit diagnostic systems to be uniformly expressed in terms of the causal relations among relevant data items. It is flexible in the sense that causes for one relation can be effects for another may be reflected on our knowledge representation scheme. The diagnosis mechanism is based on a probabilistic inferencing method. This probablistic diagnosis mechanism provides more general diagnosis than existing ones in that it accommodates multiple causes and takes complication among causes into account. These scheme and mechanism are applied to a typical example to demonstrate how our system works.

The purpose of this study is to illuminate the relations between Pop Art and pop music, which formed a serious coupling loop in an identical cultural background. Also this study intends to set up a position of visualized sexual identity as it Points out the conceptional characteristics of glam, a subculture outside mainstream, which includes the matters of sexual minorities such as homosexuality and bisexuality under the influence of the aesthetic and philosophical composition by Andy Warhol. In conjunction herewith, we explore the visual representation of glam style focusing on the influence of Warhol. The classification and explanation about the visual representation of glam style under the influence of Warhol are practised by distinguishing as denotative representation and connotative representation. For the denotative representation shown in the glum style, first, the discordant images were put together by bricolage, then adapted into the new dramatic symbol of youth. Second, through a visually androgynous style a subversion of sex for symbols of sexuality and gender was represented. Third, the factitiveness as a weird display and fallacy is shown from boisterous make-up and unisex sかling in theatricality and put-ons, featuring artificiality, assemblage and unnaturality. And the connaotative representation shown in glum inglam style, first, glam style implies its experimental nature which attempts to break down boundaries between masculinity and femininity, homosexuality and heterosex-uality. Second, the bricolage in sequin and other discordant elements have connotative meanings as sensuality and excessiveness. Third, mixing various style as sexual play shows ironic visual images, in accordance with Superior Theory and Discord Theory.

De Stijl in order to began in the Netherlands in 1917 is an art movement that becomes the theoretical background of modernism design was the foundation geometric abstraction. Steel design for that they offered a new paradigm at that time art, in various fields such as industrial design is still applied, especially works of De Stijl in the design area of urniture it became the beginning of the modern furniture. The starting point of this study is to analyze the two-dimensional representation characteristics to understand the background of the formation with the basic concepts of De Stijl. Therefore the generation of the surface to be displayed in the work of De Stijl and to analyze the divided element, and not if learn their expression characteristics. Also the line and the plane of the two-dimensional modeling properties of De Stijl, after described colors, and studied the characteristics of De Stjil writers for typical analyzes the moldability shown in their work, which based on, we try to present a new representation technique.

Since the 1960's, diverse movements that oppose the uniform design tendency of modernism appears in Italy. Especially, Gaetano Pesce, who opposed uniformity and standardization that are based on mass production system, had interests in making unique product, not an identical product, while accepting modern production technology. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to comprehend Pesce's design, which creates diversity by arranging contingent, non-predictive, and episodic aspects in creative and acceptance processes according to the intension of the designer within mass production system, as a non-representational characteristic, which appears widely in modern thought and the arts, and examine how it is materialized in detailed design work. The study methods are first examining non-representation with theoretical contemplation and dealing with the design philosophy of Pesce based on the examination. Next, in order to discover non-representational characteristics that appear in the work of Pesce, it examines from introducing worker's creativity, user's possibility of choice, openness in the working process, and the aspects of researching materials. And a specific application method will be drawn through case analysis centered on furniture design. Gaetano Pesce's design that denies the world of representation based on the sameness comes to possess non-representational characteristics that acknowledge contingency and ceaselessly create difference by intentionally arranging during the working process.

In this paper, I examines the spatial representation of the change in the environment of the digital platform, and play the game with a focus on the spatial characteristics of a digital game. First, what is the Spatial characteristic of digital games? This section applies to a digital game "theory of Lefebvre", and the spatial representation of the practice space, divided into representational space were explored. Second, how to express dealing Is there space in the genre of adventure games? The spatial characteristics of the game medium through the Spatial characteristic of the adventure game genre that is most striking examples was analyzed whether the expression in any way. Consequently, the spatial characteristics of the digital game studies of the game as well as think a very large role in the development direction. In addition, this case analysis of the expression is the basis of this digital game that is utilized in many areas, and I am sure many possibilities to find a positive role in the game.

본 연구는 14명의 중학교 2학년 수학영재들이 아르키메데스 다면체를 소재로 한 공간기하과제를 해결하면서 보여주는 정당화 유형과 수학적 표현에 대한 연구이다. 문헌 연구를 통해 정당화 유형과 수학적 표현 분석을 위한 분석틀을 마련하고 이들의 다양한 반응들을 분석하였다. 정당화 유형에서는 부분적인 분석을 통해 형식화를 추구하는 학생과 비형식적이며 경험적인 정당화이지만 모든 구성요소를 고려하여 전체적 정당화를 시도하는 두 반응간의 비교를 통해 비형식적 정당화의 유용성에 분명한 주의를 기울일 필요가 있었다. 수학적 표현에서 시각적 표현은 문제해결을 위한 아이디어를 찾고, 구조를 파악하는데 유용한 역할을 하고 있었으며, 기호적 표현을 점진적으로 발전시키는 과정에서 수학적 개념을 표현 속에 함축시키고 정제시켜 정교한 기호(Harel & Paput. 1994)를 창출하려는 욕구를 발견할 수 있었다.

This study examines the impact of female representation on board of directors and audit committees on financial reporting quality, which also discusses the moderating role of family ownership in female representation on boards of directors and audit committees and financial reporting quality. The unbalanced panel is made up of 271 non-financial companies listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) from 2008 to 2019.The findings reveal that female representation on the board of directors has a large and negative impact on financial reporting, but female representation on the audit committee has a significant positive impact on financial reporting quality. Furthermore, the results reveal that family ownership has a negative impact on the relationship between female presence on boards of directors and financial reporting quality. Furthermore, the findings show that family ownership reduces the impact of female involvement in audit committees on the quality of financial reporting. However, family ownership has no direct impact on financial reporting quality.Our findings suggest that selecting females to serve on boards of directors and audit committees should be based on specific criteria (e.g., monitoring abilities, business competence, knowledge, and experience) rather than on family relationships.

This study investigates the examples of memorials in which participants can communicate and interact. Memorials as an urban public space provide various information and experiences to the visitors. The purpose of this study is to investigate the types of participants' experience and the characteristics of memorial space. The 9 examples of the memorials are selected and analyzed by the experience type of participants. This study summarizes the characteristics of spatial representation of memorials as follow; first, the interactions and communications of participants are main considerations in designing memorials. This study defines three types of participants' experience in memorials as educational, emotional and daily urban experiences. Second, the memorial space providing educational experience has narrative characteristics which are explanatory, representational, hierarchical and figurative. Memorials represent historical events and individuals in figurative ways. Participants in memorials learn the event, mourn for the dead and cure the grief through walking the guided route. Third, the memorial space providing emotional experience is indeterminate and open-ended characteristics which are contemplative, symbolic, and abstractive. While participants try to find the way to walk through and understand the meaning of the abstract forms by themselves, they interface the event and the victims in private and individual ways. Fourth, the memorial space providing daily urban experience is the familiar urban facilities embedded remembrance such as memorial square, bridge and fountain. Symbolism of memorials and effectiveness of urban facilities are engaged into the memorial design. They have functional, participatory, interactive and recreational characteristics. People experience the memorials involuntarily and casually during their daily lives. The memorials with urban facilities can be related to the present and the future of the city as well as the past of the city.

문자 기호 사용으로 대표되는 대수는 수학 전반에 그 영향력을 행사하는 중요한 도구로 자리매김하게 되었다. 이러한 대수를 적절히 활용하기 위해서는 무엇보다 주어진 문제 상황을 적합한 대수적 표상으로 전환하는 작업이 요구된다. 그러나 문장제에 관한 몇 가지 연구로부터 이러한 전환의 어려움이 보고되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 학생들이 주어진 문장 표상과 기하 표상 각각을 대수적 표상으로 전환 및 정교화하는 과정을 살펴보는데 초점을 두었다. 중학교 1학년 학생 29명을 대상으로 하여 문장으로 기술된 상황과 도형 표현이 추가된 상황을 제시하고 각 상황에서 요구하는 바를 대수적 표상으로 전환하는 능력을 조사한 결과 도형 표현을 대수적 표상으로 전환하는 하나의 문항을 제외하고 나머지 3개의 문항에서 10% 내외의 학생이 부적절한 응답을 하였다. 나아가 그 중 임의 추출한 네 명을 개별 면담함으로써 사고 특징 및 대수적 표상 정교화를 돕는 요인을 조사하였다. 그 결과, 대수 표상 정교화 과정은 급진적이 아닌 점진적 개선 과정임을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 대수적 표상 정교화를 요하는 문제에 대해 문제 요구 사항에 대한 오해가 있을 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 자신의 대수적 표상에 대한 설명과 구체적 수치 상황 제시가 정교화에 도움이 되는 요인으로 작용하는 것을 목격하였으며, 아울러 정교화의 경험은 전이력을 가질 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 한편, 변수에 관한 오개념 등식 설정에 고착된 사고는 표상 전환의 방해 요소로 작용할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과로부터 대수적 표상 전환 및 정교화를 돕기 위한 몇 가지 교육적 시사점을 도출하였다.

Esthetic aspect is one of the most important factors in clinical dentistry. Esthetics of dental restorative materials consist of translucency, surface texture, and most importantly 'colour'. Main characteristics of optical properties and its clinical representation and general outlook as to the current information on colour and its representation has been considered in this study. Characteristics of esthetic materials are concerned with the field of science and dental professionals should take into consideration the importance, characteristics, and applications to actual clinical settings of esthetic restorative materials. Relevant information regarding natural teeth and esthetic restorative materials and training will lead to the heightened ability of dental professionals.
