색 분산 특징을 이용한 텍스트 추출에서의 손실된 분산 복원 (Variance Recovery in Text Detection using Color Variance Feature)

  • 본 논문은 자연이미지에 포함된 텍스트 영역을 찾기 위한 방법으로서 기존에 제안한 색 분산 특징을 이용한 방법에서 분산이 제대로 추출되지 않는 문자 획들에 대한 복원 방법을 제안한다. 이전의 색 분산 특징을 이용한 추출방법에서는 고정된 크기의 수평 및 수직 분간 추출 윈도우를 사용함으로서 문자 획이 두껍거나 긴 경우에는 색 분산이 제대로 추출되지 않는 단점이 있었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 미 추출된 색 분산을 연결요소 외곽사각형의 기하학적인 정보와 경험적인(Heuristic) 지식을 함께 이용하여 복원하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 다양한 종류의 디지털 카메라와 휴대폰 카메라를 이용해서 취득한 문서 유형의 이미지와 간판, 거리 표지판 등의 자연이미지를 사용하여 테스트 하였으며, 특히 큰 글자를 포함하는 자연이미지에 대해서도 텍스트 추출의 정확성이 향상된 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

The Dramatization of Habitus: A Bourdieun Reading of Pygmalion

  • Based on the Greek myth of Pygmalion and the fairy tale of Cinderella, Shaw's Pygmalion demonstrates a masterful coalescence of these two narrative motifs into a coherent plot scheme. Even more significant is his keen insight into the conflicts created at the tripartite intersection of human activity concerning language/class/culture, which, as the leitmotif, revolves around lessons in language learning. This play basically deals with human transformation and by its very nature, Higgins's experimentation with transforming Eliza cannot stop at language alone. Her cultural transformation ripples over into the realms of gesture and even a unique way of living (modus vivendi) intimately associated with taste and manners, which Bourdieu terms as habitus. By acquiring a new fashion and language, Eliza is reborn as a new lady aspiring to be filled with a newly acquired habitus. While separating her from her old Cockney style, Higgins inculcates Queen's English in Eliza, in which process her changed speech styles gradually transforms and restructures her deportment and manners, finally generating new practices, perceptions and attitudes. The gist of Pygmalion is however less Eliza's ascent into the middle class than her battle for symbolic capital waged at the level of language. By problematizing his contemporary practice of habitus conventionalized and warped by class distinctions based on economic, social and cultural capitals, Shaw creates a new humanist model of man founded on spiritual and rational virtues. In conclusion, Eliza is not a frigid Galatea but a dynamic character that goes through a brilliant transformation of three stages: 1) linguistic; 2) cultural, and 3) humanist. Finally she is built into a "consort battleship" on an equal standing with her sculptor. The process of her character-building cannot be illuminated without resorting to the dynamic notion of habitus, which highlights the process of inculcation, structuring, generation and transposing. Given the overwhelming weight of the heroine's role and the dynamic process of her transformation as the major plot scheme, this play should be christened Galatea in lieu of Pygmalion.

  • Consultant and owner play a very important role in the construction sector which is one of the main sectors in economic development. There are many stakeholders in a construction project including but not limited to: owner, consultant, contractor, subcontractor, and supplier. The consultant is the party who is to stay in close touch with the project owner, which both consultant and owner are considered as the main key stakeholders to make the project happen. It's not a simple task for a consultant to just implement the same style of management and control within various projects that are of a different background and character of owners. Thus, the adjusting plan management and control to the owner environment has been an essential technique to drive the project to success. The objective of this paper is to identify the significant management techniques for adjusting a plan of management and control to the owner environment in Thailand. The methodology is the identification throughout the analogous to abduction from literature review and our empirical observations of Future Engineering Consultants Co, Ltd. We have been in consultation for twenty-five years (25) in Thailand with 209 projects from both public and private owners. As a result, there are (1) Project management styles, (2) Personal style, (3) Owner expectation management, (4) Scope Management, (5) Time Management, (6) Cost Management, (7) Quality Management, and (8) Environmental Management. The input are: a clear defined goal, showing respect by giving good service, maintaining high quality, keeping in touch with owners, and resources. This would give the output of the project's success by meeting the owner's expectation and requirements.

  • This study analyzed characteristics of space configuration and exhibition contents in the Neo-classism style museum while carrying out space syntax and visibility graph analysis. Therefore, this research has the purpose to survey the status of existing museum analyze their visual perception space structural characteristics and ultimately utilize their characteristics as basic data in planning out and designing space. As for the research scope, the research selected as research subject 4 Neo-classism style museum in Europe and US that composite set of room to room type and having major space. Research method is that the research analyzed the exhibition space of 4 art museums by using depth-map program which can analyze space with visual graph analysis function and analyzed the visibility among unit areas by each art museum integration and exhibition contents composition. In such analysis method, the research was able to Quantitatively analyze the visual characteristics of exhibition space that induce and adjusts the motion of audience. Visual perception quantitive analysis as in this research will enhance exhibition design by considering the correlation between audience and exhibited items when planning out art museum space to be established later on. Therefore, wien museum integration degree are high because of same openings direction and major space, Also another museums major space integrations are high level degree, and Exhibition area is set of high integration area. So, visitors can perceive exhibition contents easily.

  • 본 연구는 영화 <전우치>의 텍스트 분석을 통해 한국형 슈퍼히어로 영화의 영상 미학적 특성을 고찰하고 있다. 기본적으로 영상 미학이라 함은 이야기의 구조, 인물 그리고 미장센 등 다양한 요소들을 포함한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 영화<전우치>의 플롯구조에 대한 일차적 분석을 토대로 인물과 화면 등 기타 미학적 요소의 구성과 특징을 분석해 보았다. 본 연구가 특별히 영화 <전우치>를 텍스트로 선택한 이유는 기존의 할리우드 슈퍼히어로 영화와 비교될 만한 유사한 스토리 진행과 구성 그리고 장르적 스타일 때문이었다. 따라서 본 연구를 통해서 기존의 할리우드 슈퍼히어로 영화와 영화 <전우치> 사이에서의 공통된 영상미학적 특징들을 발견할 수 있었음과 동시에 국내 고전소설과 서구형 영웅장르의 새로운 접목으로 인한 제작상의 한계점 또한 존재함을 확인할 수 있었다.

In this study, we want to provide the most important standard of space composition of several visible or invisible environment factor making an bakery store. commercial rights are defferentiated between center commercial land and dwelling commercial land and we can strengthen the competitveness by bringing inspect, analysis, comparison about product make-up price each commercial land in space organixation of in-store actively in the 21 century's new bakery competition.   • 비정형형태 생성을 위한 디지털디자인도구의 활용은 작업자의 능력에 따라 극히 주관적으로 활용되기 때문에, 공통적으로 활용될 수 있는 규칙의 설정을 통해 프로토타입 으로서 비정형 생성방법의 설정을 제시하고, 보다 효과적인 비정형 디자인 형태생성방법을 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구는 비정형 형태의 일반적 이론이 아닌 Concept발의-전개 단계에서 Mass구성 및 표현을 위한 비정형형태생성을 위한 디지털디자인도구의 활용 위주로 진행한다. 현대건축의 비정형적 형태는 디지털디자인도구와 디자인개념의 변화에서 시작된다. 선행연구를 통한 비정형적 작품을 사례를 바탕으로, 이를 분석하여 나타나는 형태적 특성을 디지털디자인도구의 언어를 중심으로 해석하고, 디지털디자인도구의 Geometry 변형을 통해 비정형 형태를 구현하는 기법을 제안하고자 한다.

  • The purpose of this study is to find out how the urban landscape of Korea, especially Seoul, changed during the last half century since 1945. The modernization of Korea, which had begun in 1960's after the chaotic period caused by Korean War, influenced the rapid growth of cities and the radical changes of its structures. But the Western-minded planning theories based on rationalism and positivism was directly applied in developing our traditional cities and consequently the modern urban landscape including urban pattern, architectural style, and commercial and residential landscape revealed disharmony, discrepancy and inconsistency in skylines, streetscape and so on. The findings are summarized as follows. 1. Because the urban structure and pattern changed in undesirable manner in terms of land use and traffic circulation, cities as a whole resulted in exclusive and heterogeneous landscape, and citizens lost their identity and felt alienated. 2. Because the architectural forms of important and monumental buildings which influenced the character of streetscape were not so successful in inventing contemporary Korean Style in true sense, we still have difficulty in creating the urban landscape of originality and legibility. 3. Because from the beginning of this era almost all highrise buildings were designed by modernism-oriented western architects, the commercial landscape of central cities did not evoke a sense of place, and after the introduction of postmodernism this tendency is ore striking even in everyday ordinary streetscape. 4. The newly formed residential landscape which was mainly composed of highly dense and highrise apartment, not only evolved very overwhelming and ugly visual impact but also exposed many social problems in living condition, neighboring and face-to-face contact. In conclusion, in ordr to define the 'Koreanness' of our urban landscape, we have to struggle to combine traditional architectural heritage and native townscape with Western shape, thought and theory, no matter how difficult it may be.

  • This study analyzes the visual image and the symbolic image of the 'New Woman' main female characters' costumes in three films: , , and , set in the Korean Empire Period and filmed in the last 10 years. The findings are as follows. First, on the visual image by formative characteristics, Gibson girl style was reflected in Western costume design. Korean costume design is based on a traditional style (or modified in some parts). Second, the three films have the same historical background on the visual image by the fidelity of historical research; however, the fidelity of historical research differs and varies with the personality of characters or situations in the films. Third, all three films share the symbolic image by characteristics of characters and 'New Woman' aspect with the same historical background and 'New Woman' female character in common; however, the personality and 'New Woman' aspect of the characters were somewhat different. There was also a distinct difference in the symbolic image of Western and Korean costumes. Western and Korean costumes signify externality versus internality and denial versus the affirmation of national identity in ; dailiness versus ceremonialness and dynamics versus statics in ; and independence versus conformity and variability versus continuity in .

  • 전자산업 초기 흑백TV디자인의 흐름이, 앞으로의 제품개발이나 생산과 판매 등의 전략에 크게 도움을 줄 수 있다고 본다. 왜냐하면 현존하는 모든 제품에 대해 지나온 과정에는 역사가 있었고, 과거와 지금까지의 정보를 갖고 미래를 바라볼 수 있는 예측 수단으로 활용될 수 있기 때문이다. 제품의 성격에 따라서는 단순한 광고나 영업 전략에 의해서도 어느 정도 연장 또는 유지가 가능하지만, 그러나 장기적으로 그 제품이 가지는 생명력, 나아가 그 기업이 갖고 있는 경쟁력을 위해서는 보다 정확한 분석과 축적된 데이터가 필요하고 그런 정보를 잘 응용하는 과정이 필수적이다. 연구 대상의 흑백TV제품에 대한 정보는 제품 안내책자와 인쇄매체 의한 광고자료를 정리하였다. 스타일 변화에 대해서는 제품 판매시점을 기준으로 1960년대부터 1980년대까지 콘솔형 TV, 포터블형 TV 디자인 변화와관계가 있는 여러 가지 환경과 제품변화 흐름을 중점으로 연구하였다. 이런 제품들의 탄생과 소멸까지의 과정이 앞으로 다른 가전제품에도 반복 될 수 있다. 이제 우리의 가전제품의 국제적인 위치나 영향력으로 볼 때 과거의 제품변화과정은 나름대로 역사성 갖고 있다. 이러한 과거의 흐름이 앞으로 탄생될 제품디자인의 기초로서 중요한 역할을 할 수 있다고 보기 때문이다.
