End-of-life assessments aim to help dying patients and their families plan clinical interventions in advance and prepare them for a peaceful end of life, in which the patient accepts life and death, and the family accepts the patient's departure. It is important to assess whether death is imminent within a few days, because critical hospice care is provided intensively during that period. The following five changes constitute objective evidence of the end of life: diminished daily living performance, decreased food intake, changes in consciousness and increased sleep quantity, worsening of respiratory distress, and end-stage delirium. As subjective evidence, it is suggested that sensitive perceptions of experienced nurses and the feelings of family members caring for patients should also be considered. When notifying a patient or family members that the end of life is approaching, the members of the multidisciplinary hospice team must communicate with each other, share accurate information, and provide consistent explanations. They must also listen to non-verbal communication in an empathic and supportive manner.
Previous research on creativity mainly investigated the characteristics of creative individuals and environments. In this study, those factors were also investigated in art by critically reviewing various documents on 5 creative artists: Nam June Paik, Isang Yun, Marcel Duchamp, John Cage and Pina Bausch. The results of the study showed that creativity in art developed through three different developmental stages with the changes of artist's self or self-consciousness: the discovering self, strengthening self-consciousness, and refining self-consciousness stages. The first stage of discovering self is the period during which the creative artists discovered their talents in the area of art and decided to pursue their career in art. During this stage, creative artists expressed a strong curiosity, tried to learn the world of art with intense efforts, and established a good foundation of knowledge. During the second stage of strengthening self-consciousness, creative artists built up their own aesthetic worlds. They tried to slake their thirst for the novelty in the field and made a strong commitment to the field they belong to. Finally, during the refining self-consciousness stage, they expressed their aesthetic worlds with refined self and expanded their aesthetics from personal to social dimensions. And they pursued an integration of various domains to produce a new artistic genre and shared their creative aesthetics with members outside of their field. The main implication of the findings of this study was that creativity could be defined and understood meaningfully by the perspective of self or self-consciousness in the area of art.
The food service industry has grown larger with changes in the economic and socio-cultural environment. In this saturated food service industry, generation X and MZ are the main consumer forces that demand attention. That is because a generation is the main psychographic factor that reflects personal values and lifestyle based on one's life cycle. From such a perspective, a generation in marketing has been used as a variable to predict a market by supplementing demographic factors. Accordingly, this study classified generations into generation X and generation MZ with the use of the 2019 consumer behavior survey for food by Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI) and then investigated the factors influencing group and personal dining-out expenses. The analysis was carried out applying the Tobit model using SPSS and R. The positively influential variables on generation X's personal dining-out expenditure were male, single person, high income and simple lifestyle, whereas housewives, personal ethical consciousness, behavioral ethical consciousness, and safe dietary life were negatively influential variables. The positively influential variables on generation MZ's personal dining-out expenditures were male, dual-income, high education level, corporate and governmental ethical consciousness, while the number of family members and safe dietary life were negatively influential variables.

In the village, the community consciousness of members appears as a landscape characteristic according to the passage of time. In addition, when the landscape of the village is stabilized, the relationship between members is strengthened. Urban villages change and become outdated depending on social conditions. So, it investigates and analyzes the landscape data of the village and the status of the community. The Jeonju Hanok village, which is the subject of the study, was restored from an slum urban village through urban regeneration projects. The village is a tourist attraction with more than 10 million tourists. However, as the commerce in the village was strengthened, the function of the village was weakening. Also, the existing village landscape was changing for commercial purposes. The current village is in a situation where the restored landscape can be changed again. Therefore, efforts are needed to maintain the landscape of the village and restore its function. Jeonju Hanok village needed a member's perspective, not a resident's perspective. Lastly, the relationship between members can be strengthened only when the village landscape is stable.

The environment surrounding oriental medical' doctors made change in accordance with changes of the society to make change of the doctors' ethics. In particular, some of practitioners made light of patients to let people distrust all of the medical professions. To improve such a situation, oriental medical doctors' ethics should be examined historically and philosophically. This study examined the literatures of Oriental medicine on oriental medical doctors' ethics to investigate difference of medical ethics between the Western medicine and the Oriental medicine and to suggest a way promoting oriental medical doctors' ethical consciousness. The ethics of the literatures of Oriental medicine might be classified into the two, in other words, 'medical technology' and 'mental attitude'. 'Medical technology' laid emphasis upon not only a lot of researches on Oriental medicine but also doing best to give patients medical treatment carefully. 'Mental attitude' laid emphasis upon keeping 'humanity(仁心)' thinking much of patients not to pursue excessive profits. To recover ethical consciousness, not only 'reinforced school education' but also 'reinforced legal regulation' was required. And, oriental medical doctors, nongovernmental organizations, common people and other social members were demanded to make efforts together to elevate oriental medical doctors' ethical consciousness.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore and describe the experiences of the family caregivers using a nursing home for their elderly family members. Method: Participants for this study were 1 man and 9 women caregivers. Data was collected through in-depth interviews from October, 2005 to April, 2006 and analyzed using Strauss and Corbin's grounded theory methodology. Results: "Finding a way to live together" emerged as a core category and it reflected expanding consciousness allowing them to see each other in a more positive view. The basic social process of "finding a way to live together" includes 3 phases: 1) recognizing the problems, 2) finding solutions to the problems, and 3) accepting the changes in their surrounding. Lack of privacy, family troubles, extreme distress, and unavailable caregivers are reflected in the process of recognizing the problems. The process of finding solutions was making a decision, obtaining family agreement, choosing the best nursing home, and enduring the financial burden. Possible outcomes of the last phase include recovering peace of mind and continuing conflict. Conclusion: Findings from this study offer suggestions for developing a strategy to help not only the elderly but also the family caregivers.
The purpose of this study was to examine the changes and the characteristics of the attitudes toward children and spaces provided for them. by analyzing people's daily lives in housing spaces and architects' floor plans between the 1920s and the 1960s. Different kinds of data were obtained from a variety of early literature, research reports, newspaper articles, historical documents, and magazines from the period. Findings of this study are as follows: 1. Before modernization in Korea, children had been regarded as immature persons. Confucian ideas of children viewed them as 'small adults' or 'immature adults.' Thus spaces for children's daily lives were neither differentiated from those of the adults' nor deemed important. However, since the Western invasions and colonization by Japan, a remarkable change in the attitudes toward children took place. Children began to be considered a hope for the future as well as members of modem families. In addition, the introduction of the new word, 'eorini (children),' by Mr. Bang Jeonghwan, brought about a significant change in social consciousness of children. 2. The appearance of 'adongshil (children's room)' on architects' floor plans, which was a result of the social critique against androcentrism during the l930s and 1940s, was highly meaningful. The new floor plans not only emphasized rationalization of the space but also upgraded the children's status in the family. 3. Since the liberation (1945), children's space was differentiated from parental spare by the introduction of private rooms and shared spaces. The privacy of each generation was expressed by the division, and the generations were considered equal in this space distribution. In conclusion, the appearance of children's rooms required conflict-laden changes of social ideals and of the family system. It also was a symbol of modernization.
Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine the changes of health perception, satisfaction survey and lifestyle in Korean medicine counseling for Daejeon University faculty members. Methods : In this study, the demographic questionnaire, lifestyle habit questionnaire, Mibyeong questionnaire, quality of life questionnaire(SF-12, EQ5D), pattern-based questionnaire, constitutional questionnaire(KS-15) and instrumental examination were performed on the first and second visit. We carried out 1:1 consultation at every visit. Results : A total of 189 participants participated in this study. 66% of respondents answered that they felt the change in health perception and more than 93% of the respondents felt satisfaction due to the Korean medicine health counseling. In the demographic characteristics, it was found that women were more satisfied with the Korean medicine health counseling than men(p <.05), the higher the education level(p <.05) and the higher the age(p <.05), managed their health continuously after receiving Korean medicine health counseling.(p <.05) In addition, in the change of lifestyle habit, the group who smoked and drank in the past answered that the consciousness to manage and improve health was higher than other group after Korean medicine health counseling.(p <.05) Conclusions : Korean medicine health counseling had a positive effect on overall health perception change and satisfaction was high. Since the Korean medicine health counseling has different effects on lifestyle and health perception change and the satisfaction of Korean medicine health counseling is different according to demographic characteristics and existing lifestyle habits. In the future, it will be expected that the effect of Korean medicine health counseling program on health care and disease prevention will be further enhanced if the Korean medicine health counseling program reflecting such characteristics is implemented.

The contents of this study consist of two parts: literature reviews on the specific features of family ethics with lived history from the period of the Three States to 1950 decades and a survey research on family ethics and its transition after 1950 decades. For the latter, Questionnaires were distributed to the different each generations, from which 1194 data were obtained. In contemporary history, The Korean War(6 ${\cdot}$ 25) had great influent on the change of the family ethics. Recently the conflict among the family members and family problems are influenced by the valiables such as generation and sex, especially with the changes of consciousness of feministic perspective.
