Optimization of the construction scheme of the cable-strut tensile structure based on error sensitivity analysis is studied in this paper. First, the element length was extracted as a fundamental variable, and the relationship between element length change and element internal force was established. By setting all pre-stresses in active cables to zero, the equation between the pre-stress deviation in the passive cables and the element length error was obtained to analyze and evaluate the error effects under different construction schemes. Afterwards, based on the probability statistics theory, the mathematical model of element length error is set up. The statistical features of the pre-stress deviation were achieved. Finally, a cable-strut tensile structure model with a diameter of 5.0 m was fabricated. The element length errors are simulated by adjusting the element length, and each member in one symmetrical unit was elongated by 3 mm to explore the error sensitivity of each type of element. The numerical analysis of error sensitivity was also carried out by the FEA model in ANSYS software, where the element length change was simulated by implementing appropriate temperature changes. The theoretical analysis and experimental results both indicated that different elements had different error sensitivities. Likewise, different construction schemes had different construction precisions, and the optimal construction scheme should be chosen for the real construction projects to achieve lower error effects, lower cost and greater convenience.
The investigation of ecological characteristics of Lycoris radiata was carried out in flooding (site I), half flooding (site II) and dry stands (site III). Seasonal change of air temperature showed similar patterns and that of light intensity showed quite difference among three L. radiata stands. Seasonal change of soil water content showed a great difference among three L. radiata stands. The study area was dominated by Pinus densiflora, P. thunbergii and L. radiata communities. The number of bulb in 1. radiata increased in September with bulb formation and decreased in January. Bulb weight in L. radiata was different from each site. The numbers of blossom were 23, 13 and 9, respectively in site I, II and III. The length of wreath were 17.0, 13.0 and 11.0cm, respectively, the length of stamen were 7.0, 6.4 and 6.5 cm, respectively and the length of stalk were 60.0, 45.0 and 42.0 cm, respectively in site I, II and III. The leaf of L. radiata developed rapidly in site I with sufficient water supply and lower light intensity, the number and the length of rootlets increased considerably in site III with insufficient water supply and higher light intensity, and the ecological characteristics in site II was intermediate between site I and site III. There was no great difference between the numbers of rootlets in site I and site II, which were due to sufficient water supply in two stands.
Purpose: This study was conducted in an effort to determine the effects of various abdominal drawing-in maneuver (ADIM) on the thickness and length of the transversus abdominis (TrA) when using lumbar stabilization exercises on healthy adults. Methods: 72 healthy adults were divided into four groups of 18 subjects each, to which different ADIM methods were applied. 1) a simple ADIM exercise, 2) an ADIM with pressure bio-feedback units, 3) an ADIM exercise with sling, and 4) an ADIM exercise with sling and vibration. Changes in the thickness and sliding length of TrA were measured when ADIM was conducted in the supine position prior to exercise and again when beginning the exercises. Following exercise, changes in the thickness and sliding length of TrA were measured using the same methods. Differences in group measurements prior to and following exercise were compared using a one-way analysis of variance. A paired t-test was applied to compare the before and after differences within each group. Results: Differences in TrA thickness change revealed that the ADIM exercise with sling and vibration group showed a significant difference in measurements taken prior to and following exercise. Differences in TrA length change revealed that the ADIM exercise with sling and vibration group showed a significant difference in measurements taken prior to and following exercise. Conclusion: ADIM exercise with vibration stimulation conducted in the bridge posture while in a prone position using a sling can be recommended as an effective exercise to improve the function of lumbar TrA.

This study is to investigate preconception of elementary school students and Belizean elementary school teachers and to devise experiment to understand a cause of seasonal change. An open-ended questionnaire and interviews were conducted for 91 6th grade students who didn't learn seasonal change and 10 Belizean teachers to find out preconception of seasonal change and they were categorized by using inductive analysis. They thought that the Earth's rotation, the distance between the Sun and the Earth, the Earth's revolution, pollution and climate change cause seasonal change. And it found out that these misconceptions come from difficulty in awareness of space and impreciseness of textbooks and books and so on. The experiment was designed to correct inaccurate preconception and to improve lessons of seasonal change. It is to measure a meridian altitude and a length of daytime and nighttime and to compare them. This experiment can help to understand the cause of seasonal change by measuring natural phenomenons like the meridian altitude and the change of length of daytime by model.
In the GPS attitude determination system, the baseline length constraints can be used efficiently to reduce the search space. It is possible by adopting the assumptions that the baseline length doesn't change and the true baseline length is precisely known. But in real situation, the baseline length might be changed by many reasons and it is impossible to measure the true baseline length because there exists measurement error and antenna phase centre movement. In order to analyze the effect of the baseline length accuracy, one needs to know the relation between the accuracy of the baseline length and success rates of the integer ambiguity resolution. In this paper, the effect of the baseline length accuracy to the integer ambiguity resolution in the attitude determination system is analyzed by empirical method. The results show that the margins in the baseline length accuracy is less than a few cm which implies that one should take great cares when applying the attitude determination system to the flexible structures.

In this paper, we deal with the problem of deciding the length of data for estimating the parameters in geometric Brownian motion. As an approach to this problem, we consider the change point test and introduce simple test statistic based on the cumulative sum of squares test (cusum test). A real data analysis is performed for illustration.
This study was to design the clean room garment which fits for a body and adjusts well to the action. We examined the body's changes in action through a body measurment and made a sample of the clean room garment to which had adapted the body's changes in action and evaluated the function and the appearance compared with the existing the clean room garment. The followings were summery of the results : 1. Back intersyce breadth decreased, trunk length increased and the other parts were not change. At a posture of raising hands($M_3$) in comparison with an upright posture($M_0$). Back intersyce breadth, hip length and knee length increased and the other parts were a little change. At a bowing posture($M_2$) in comparison with an upright posture($M_0$). Back hip girth, knee length, hip length and leg length increased and the other parts were not change. At a working posture on a chair($M_1$) in comparison with an upright posture($M_0$). 2. The overall clean room garment was made increasing on the changes of part of a body through measuring and body measurement. 3. From the test of the function, it became known that the devised clean room garment was superior to the existing one in the parts of neck, shoulder, armpit and elbow at a working posture on a chair($M_1$), in the parts of neck, shoulder, and armpit at a bowing posture($M_2$), and the armpit at a posture of raising hands($M_3$). The appearance was better on the whole. 4. From the examination of photographs, the waist line of the devised clean room garment was not so much pulled up as that of the existing one on moving. And when sitting down on a chair, the waist line of the existing one was pulled down while that of the devised one had no change. As above, we investigated the actual conditions of wearing the clean room garment and measured the body's changes according the various actions. So we applied these results to the devised clean room garment but we couldn't research the clean mom effect of it owing to not obtaining the measuring instrument. The aspect of ergonomics liked the feeling of wearing and fitted to the action must be given consideration to the clean room garment, and simultaneously the dust-resistant effect must be taken into consideration in order to improve the quality of the goods. Therefore, we think it should be continued the research on the dust-resistant effect, material, washing method, quality control, and size along with the aspect of ergonomics.

From the result of analysis using finite element method for the Pile Slab reinforcement length through embankment of height, soft ground and the change of cohesion following results were acquired. 1. The higher embankment of height is, the deeper depth of soft ground is, the smaller cohesion is, Pile Slab reinforcement length increased almost straight. 2. The reinforcement length is controlled by the depth of soft ground, cohesion, embankment of height and the like. Among these, cohesion of soft ground is affected the most. 3. The reinforcement length of Pile Slab is determined using by calculated formula.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate changes in the mandibular dental arch from presurgical orthodontic treatment and orthognathic surgery, and to evaluate the relationships between the pretreatment records and changes of mandibular dental arch in skeletal Class III malocclusion individuals. Methods: Lateral cephalometric radiographs and mandibular study models of 31 adults with skeletal class III malocclusion were taken and measured. All measurements were evaluated statistically by ANOVA, Scheffe's Post Hoc, and paired t-test, and correlation coefficients were evaluated. Results: No significant difference in Mn-LMMC, Mn-LIE, Mn-MnOcc was detected between pretreatment and presurgical groups. Statistically significant but low correlations were demonstrated between the initial arch length discrepancy (ALD) and change in ICW, IPW1 (r = 0.492, 0.615) and change in arch length (r = 0.641). No association was seen between the initial depth of curve of Spee and change in mandibular incisor angle and arch width or arch length. Regression analysis showed that the amount of change for arch length and IPW1 could be explained by 64.0% and 75.8% of the pretreatment variables respectively. Conclusions: This study suggests that orthognathic surgery results can be predictable by measuring the pretreatment records.

The length extensional vibration mode of a piezoelectric ceramic substrate is used in fabricating the ultra-small size resonators and filters. In general, the three side ratios of the substrate effect the resonant characteristics of the resonator using its length extensional vibration. In this paper, their relationships are studied. We know that changing the ratio of its length to its width makes possible to change the resonant frequency of the width vibration without degrading the length extensional vibration.
