  • This study seeks to find new strategies for the development of Tapgol Park and to identify Programs to promote this development. In addition, the study specifies the purpose and meaning of these efforts by revealing social aspects not apparent in the physical form of the site, and reading how these aspects influenced the development of Tapgol Park Because the focus of the study lies in reading cultural aspects of the site which have to be understood within the context of their social circumstances, the study drew materials from mass media such as newspapers and literary magazines, which best reflect these social aspects. Interpreting the over 100 you history of Tapgol Park in a cultural context, the study found a meaningful suggestion that such a small urban place located in a city forms a cultural identity in the course of communicating with its surrounding social situations. The change in the identity of Tapgol Park has been sensitive to changing social circumstances rather than the physical structure of the space. The original function of Tapgol Park as a traditional city park has gradually changed towards strengthening social functions, much like the character of an urban plaza. In the process of change the park developed a unique culture. This park culture, however, came not from the original design but from its close interactions with social circumstances changing over time. At the same time, the change in identity seen in Tapgol Park has not been fresh formed. It can be said that the inertia came into light with the potential powers under the place over the long history having been combined into the then social circumstances. In early 2002, the park re-opened, refurbished as one of the relics of the March 1st Movement. Investigating how cultural inertias that have been developing in various forms to date will change and be maintained in this new paradigm is an important assignment for researchers.

  • In this paper, we examine the multiple change-point and change pattern in the 54 years (1954-2007) time series of the annual and the heavy precipitation characteristics (amount, days and intensity) averaged over South Korea. A Bayesian approach is used for detecting of mean and/or variance changes in a sequence of independent univariate normal observations. Using non-informative priors for the parameters, the Bayesian model selection is performed by the posterior probability through the intrinsic Bayes factor of Berger and Pericchi (1996). To investigate the significance of the changes in the precipitation characteristics between before and after the change-point, the posterior probability and 90% highest posterior density credible intervals are examined. The results showed that no significant changes have occurred in the annual precipitation characteristics (amount, days and intensity) and the heavy precipitation intensity. On the other hand, a statistically significant single change has occurred around 1996 or 1997 in the heavy precipitation days and amount. The heavy precipitation amount and days have increased after the change-point but no changes in the variances.

  • We consider a multiple change point model with autoregressive conditional heteroscedasticity (ARCH). The model assumes that all or the part of the parameters in the ARCH equation change over time. The occurrence of the change points is modelled as the discrete time Markov process with unknown transition probabilities. The model is estimated by Markov chain Monte Carlo methods based on the approach of Chib (1998). Simulation is performed using a variant of perfect sampling algorithm to achieve the accuracy and efficiency. We apply the proposed model to the simulated data for verifying the usefulness of the model.

  • Over the past decades, the Lee-Carter model [1] has attracted much attention from various demography-related fields in order to project the future mortality rates. In the Lee-Carter model, the speed of mortality improvement is stochastically modeled by the so-called mortality index and is used to forecast the future mortality rates based on the time series analysis. However, the modeling is applied to long time series and thus an important structural change might exist, leading to potentially large long-term forecasting errors. Therefore, in this paper, we are interested in detecting the structural change of the Lee-Carter model and investigating the actuarial implications. For the purpose, we employ the tests proposed by Coelho and Nunes [2] and analyze the mortality data for six countries including Korea since 1970. Also, we calculate life expectancies and whole life insurance premiums by taking into account the structural change found in the Korean male mortality rates. Our empirical result shows that more caution needs to be paid to the Lee-Carter modeling and its actuarial applications.

  • The Beautiful rest room is simple how to think. We need to understand that excretion is important as much as eating. When we didn't have foods, eating was important in itself no matter what our lives environments. But now we want to eat in more dignified and more cultural place. Most of restaurants spend money on adjusting place for the consumes' desire. It is same way about rest room, it is time to change our rest room to place of rest and speculation over the place which we fix our natural urge. We can fix our natural urge, take a rest, and get creative ideas in more convenient, more healthy and more comfortable. It is time for us to change out thought about rest room; it is not dirty and stink place, but civilized living place like developed country. Also, we need new concept to take a triangular position about rest room is one of structure over just decorations. This research suggest new public rest room without precedent based on instance analysis about rest room inside and outside the country.

  • This paper is intended to measure sectoral sustainabilities and inter-industry linkage effects of natural capital depletion of the Korean industries, and to analyze sources of their change over time using the familiar input-output model. The sustainability indicator that we are measuring in this paper is based on the so-called genuine saving concept proposed by the World Bank(1997). We accommodated the concept in the extended analytical framework of Proops et al.(1999) to analyze sectoral sustainabilities of the Korean industries. We decomposed sectoral sustainabilities so measured into their composing factors based on the decomposition method devised by Chung & Rhee (2001). According to our analysis, overall sustainability of the Korean industries has been declined since 1995. In heavy and chemical, transportation, and electricity sectors, their sustainabilities has been gotten worse. Among four major factors influencing the sustainability, change in GDP was the most important followed by changes in savings, industrial structures, and demand patterns.

  • In hotels or Food service industrials they make efforts on cost control. In the modern time how to control costs of food materials are perceived to be important even if there are many ways of cost control. Ideas that the cost of food material should be accounted have been change to that the cost of food material should be controlled. change of thought and the spread-over of computer give us the means of effective cost control over the processes of buying, controling, selling food materials. Even if stocked in good places, the food materials are changing in quality from the first time they are stocked. the storage control give us the least loss of this damages and make us to provide customers progressive food services in quality rather than the past. we can make plans to save costs corresponding to take various way of buying suitable to various situation.

  • This research shows how the perception of digital shadow work varies depending on the user's period of use of digital services in applications, which are key areas of digital services. The purpose of this research is to investigate how the digital shadow work type changes over time. This research adopted a qualitative research method for location-based service "help application" users and examined the change in perception from the app service acceptance stage to the app service continuous use stage with two-times interviews of ten users by a longitudinal research design. This study conducted a longitudinal analysis focusing on how digital shadow work occurs in the application subscription process, exploring phenomenologically how the type changes throughout the process over time.

  • This study was conducted to identify appetite and nutritional status of 48 cancer patients who have been irradiated over 150$\textrm{cm}^2$ on chest or pelvic area over the three-month period. The data were gathered 3 phases, Each from initiation to completion of radiotherapy through the questionnaires of anorexia, the anthropometric and biochemical measures were used such as weight, TSF, MAC, MAMC, serum albumin and hemoglobin, TLC. Using SAS program, data were analyzed by percentage, Mean$\pm$SD, and two-way repeated measures ANOVA. The results were summarized as follows : 1. Eighty five percent(85%) of the subjects were aged from fifties to sixties. Cancers in the chest area occurred in 100% of men, 56% of the all subjects. The other 44% were pelvic cancer and 71% of the pelvic cancer occurred in women. 2. There were no significant differences in the appetite scores by all groups(characteristics). Changes of the appetite score over time were statistically significant by age, sex, cancer areas staging, treatment modality, and radiation dosage (F=4.0, p=.022; t=6.09, p=.003; t=4.90, p=.009; F=3.28, p=.042; t=5.04, p=.0084; t=4.76, p=.011). The appetite score on the 2nd phase (4 weeks after initiating radiotherapy) decreased from the 1st phase (initiating irradiation), and then increased on the 3rd phase (completing irradiation). 3. There were no significant differences in the body weight and MAMC by all characteristics, and no changes in the body weight and MAMC over time. However there were significant differences of TSF, MAC, level of hemoglobin, level of albumin, and TLC by all characteristics during the three phases. TSF of the men and the chest cancer were lower than those of the women and the pelvic cancer (t=73.20, p=.0001; t=22.91, p=.0001). And there was significant difference by cancer staging(F=3.19, p=.050). But there was no change in TSF over time. MAC of the men and the chest cancer were lower than those of the women and the pelvic cancer each(t=9.23, p=.004; t=17.85, p=.0001). But no change in MAC over time. Levels of hemoglobin had significant differences by age, sex and cancer areas; levels of hemoglobin of older than the fifties, men, and chest area were higher than those on the others(F=3.82, p=.029; t=21.75, p=.0001; t=8.71, p=.005). Levels of albumin were significant differences by sex and cancer areas; levels of albumin on women, and pelvic area were higher than those on the others(t=6.34, p=.015; t=15.23, p=.0003). While the levels of hemoglobin were changed over time, levels of albumin were not changed and within normal limit. TLC of the men was higher than women(t=5.05, p=.029). Changes in the level of hemoglobin over time were statistically significant according to sex, cancer areas, and radiation dosage(t=3.49, p=.035; t=3.36, p=.039; t=4.04, p=.021).
