  • A stud connector was used by the shear connector of a composite beam. The shear connector is an important element in heightening the composition rate of a composite beam .study was based on the experiments conducted on 15 specimens using the push-out test.In this paper, through an experiment, the shear connector of other forms was analyzed instead of the stud connector. It is hoped that this application can be used in composite beams.

  • As generations Y and Z gain influence, luxury fashion brands are interacting with younger digital consumers through fashion film, seeking to offer them a differentiated brand experience. Using a literature review addressing characteristics of fashion films as a communication medium and luxury fashion brands' heritage in the digital era, this study examines how brands express their heritage through fashion film, categorizing those expressions in terms of implicit meaning. The case study analyzed films from Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Dior, and Burberry uploaded to YouTube between 2018 and 2020. First, to retain their status as luxury, brands emphasize historical legitimacy. Specifically, they highlight their iconic historical image, their succession of creative directors, valuable historic locations, and diversity of consumer's brand experiences. Second, by stressing craftsmanship, integrating contemporary art and local culture, and utilizing a museum aura, they use brand heritage to acquire luxury status. Third, they attempt to mythify the founders by creating the persona of the fashion designer and the artist. The results show that the heritage depicted in fashion films is a key way in which luxury fashion brands resolve the tension between accessibility and exclusivity that they encounter and to get consumers emotionally engaged with brands.

  • Deformation behavior of pure aluminum during equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) was simulated using a three-dimensional version of the finite element method in conjunction with a constitutive model based on the dislocation density and cell evolution. The three-dimensional finite element analyses for the prediction of microstructural features, such as the variation of the dislocation density and the cell size with the number of ECAP, are reported. The calculated stress and strain and their distributions are also investigated for the route Bc ECAP processed pure aluminum. The results of finite element analyses are found to be in good agreement with experimental results for the dislocation cell size. Due to the accumulation of strain throughout the workpiece and an overall trend to saturation in cell size, a decrease of the difference in cell size with the number of passes (1~4) was predicted.

  • In this study, the performance and distribution of fluid concentration, pressure, and current density of a proton exchange membrane fuel cell was investigated. In this paper, the two different types of flow field design were compared, singel channel and 5-channels. As a result, the 5-channels of flow field showed the better performance than that of single chanel. Especially, the single channel showed better performance in terms of mass transfer loss area.

  • Handbags are a part of fashion and while their significance and value are increasing, research on this topic is lacking. This study defines handbags and categorizes the materials used for making handbags, sewing methods, expression techniques, and terminologies related to accessories. A total of 1,743 handbags that were released from the Spring 2020 to Fall 2023, Ready-to-Wear collections by 8 selected brands (Hermes, Dior, Fendi, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Gucci, and Alexander McQueen), were analyzed. Out of these, 732 unique designs, excluding those with only color variations, were studied. The most common sewing methods were 'Cut, sewing, and edge painting', 'Cylinder arm sewing', 'Cut, edge painting, and sewing', and 'Inverted seam', in that order. Slim strap designs primarily used the 'Cut, sewing, and edge painting' method, whereas the body, especially with narrow and hard leather, was best suited for the 'Cylinder arm sewing machine'. For expression techniques, the most frequently used methods were 'Quilting', 'Metal Eyelet', 'Embossing', 'Printing', 'Punching', and 'Weaving', respectively. The characteristics of each brand's production methods, expression techniques, and accessories were as follows: First, the exposure of logos and monograms is prominent. Unlike clothing, handbags often prominently feature the brand's logo or monogram. Second, signature quilting is a prominent feature. Quilting effectively conveys the brand's signature style, providing cushioning, volume, and pattern effects. Third, sustainable development is a growing trend. Brands are increasingly applying eco-friendly and socially responsible designs.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide guidance to plan bag design with an analysis of design properties of bags of famous overseas brands in a pret-a-porter fashion collection. For this purpose, the pret-a-porter fashion collection from 2001 S/S to 2005 F/W is divided into the following sectors: brands, years, and seasons, focusing on the design elements. The reference for the actual study was 773 pictures of bags that were collected of Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Christian Dior, Prada, Fendi and Etro collections. The results of this study are as follows. With regard to the character of the bag design classified by brand, the design property was embossed with all design elements. Therefore, we can use design elements to express design property, like bag design of famous overseas brands. With regard to the changes of bag design year by year, it was changed with almost all of the design elements. Therefore, it is noted that bag design do well to reflect the fashion trends of the year with almost all design elements. With regard to design properties of seasonal bags, bag design properties which are popular in the S/S season are circle form, small size, lively colors and so on. On the other hand, bag design properties which are popular in the F/W season are common form, large size, quiet colors and so on. Therefore, it is noted that bag design do well to reflect the seasonal trends.

  • This paper investigated the channel link budget for Wireless Avionics Intra-Communication (WAIC) in 4.4GHz. The band 4.2~4.2GHz was allocated for the communication service among aeronautical applications in world radiocommunication conference (WRC). Wireless channels in aircraft was modelled by the combination of path loss, shadowing effect caused by obstacles, and fading caused by multipath signals. In addition, wireless channels in aircraft are categorized into 6 groups according to various locations of transmitter and receiver. We analyzed the channel link budget for the 6 channel groups in terms of maximum transmission distance and outage probability. Our analysis and intensive computer simulation results show that the propagation characteristics of group A, B, and F is superior to group C, D, E, and the propagation of group E is the most vulnerable. Also, these results can be utilized as basic reference for the channel analysis of intra-aircraft or similar environment.

  • Most peoples are used to prefer to view the video contents rather than the other contents since the video contents are more easy to understand with both their eyes and ears. As the wide spread use of smartphones, the demands for the contents services are increasing rapidly. To promote the contents business, it's important to provide security of subscriber authentication and corresponding communication channels through which the contents are delivered. Generally, symmetric key encryption scheme is used to protect the contents in the channel, and the session key should be upadated periodically for the security reasons. In addition, to protect viewing paid contents by illegal users, the proxy authentication should not be allowed. In this paper, we propose biometric based user authentication and one time key generation models. The proposed model is consist of biometric template registration, session key generation and chanel encryption steps. We analyze the difference and benefits of our model with existing CAS models which are made for CATV contents protection, and also provides applications of our model in electronic commerce area.
