  • Since 2002, information security management system has been implemented (ISMS) certification scheme whilst providing telecommunications services to enhance the level of enterprise information security was ongoing and Prevent accidents and avoid spread of infringement, such as rapid response and there is a lot of it came true. However, this system is the protection of the country or the investment company, as part of the actual information on how management affects the performance came from or how measures are still lacking for. In this study, the companies have their own privacy ISMS certification measures the level of activity continued to improve information security performance measures and methodology are presented. The government is also based on the validity of the certification system to ensure the overall implementation of the ISMS itself is this a step increase effective information security system is to be certified in advance to prevent security incidents and to improve business performance to help.

  • A three-dimensional physical part can be fabricated from a three-dimensional digital model in a layer-wise manner via additive manufacturing (AM) technology, which is different from the conventional subtractive manufacturing technology. Numerous studies have been conducted to take advantage of the AM opportunities to penetrate bespoke custom product markets, functional engineering part markets, volatile low-volume markets, and spare part markets. Nevertheless, materials issues, machines issues, product issues, and qualification/certification issues still prevent the AM technology from being extensively adopted in industries. The present study briefly reviews the standard classification, technological structures, industrial applications, technological advances, and qualification/certification activities of the AM technology. The economics, productivity, quality, and reliability of the AM technology should be further improved to pass through the technology adoption lifecycle of innovation technology. The AM technology is continuously evolving through the introduction of PM materials, hybridization of AM and conventional manufacturing technologies, adoption of process diagnostics and control systems, and enhanced standardization of the whole lifecycle qualification and certification methodology.

  • Purpose: As global interest in environmental issues increases, the demand for green products/services is increasing. Companies are establishing eco-friendly policies to meet the changing expectations of customers. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of eco-friendly behavior and third-party certification on trust, satisfaction, and loyalty as well as the mediating role of satisfaction based on SOR and signaling theory. Research design, data and methodology: This study collected data from 501 respondents who visited restaurant and analyzed using measurement model with SPSS 28.0 and SmartPLS 4. Results: First, restaurants' eco-friendly behavior and third-party certification (TPC) positively influenced trust while these did not influence satisfaction. Second, trust positively influenced satisfaction. Third, trust and satisfaction positively influenced loyalty. Fourth, TPC had stronger impact on trust and satisfaction compared to eco-friendly behavior in female group while TPC had stronger impact on trust in male group. Conclusions: This study emphasized the importance of TPC over eco-friendly behavior. Restaurants should maintain pro-environmental behaviors such as reducing single-use items while obtaining TPC such as ISO and LEED certifications to increase customer trust. It also found the importance of trust and satisfaction in securing loyal customers. Restaurants should make efforts to build bonds with customers through authentic marketing such as events that encourage customer participation.

  • Purpose - This study attempts to provide a new theoretical perspective on the quality signaling and its impact on a market under information asymmetry, focusing on how the accuracy and the cost of quality signaling affect sellers' and buyers' profit, suggesting appropriate designs of quality signaling methods which mitigates information asymmetry. Design/methodology/approach - In order to examine the effect of quality signaling on strategic interactions within the market, we establish an analytic model where market outcomes are determined by seller's quality claim and price, and buyers are risk-neutral. By investigating this analytic model through relevant game trees, we find the subgame perfect Nash equilibria of the market and predict related market outcomes based on sellers' quality signaling strategy. Findings - Our analytic model shows counterintuitive results that seller profit will be the lowest with inaccurate quality signaling and the highest with no quality signaling, mostly due to the certification cost. Consequently, sellers should proceed with caution if the quality signaling is less than accurate, as it may backfire. We believe that this is due to the fact that the inaccuracy of quality signaling causes some confusion and uncertainty in both sellers and buyers' decision to maximize profit, making it hard for sellers to predict buyers' behavior. Research implications or Originality - Although the sources and types of quality signaling errors have been investigated in the literature, there has not been satisfactory understanding regarding how inaccuracy of quality certification affects specific market outcomes. We expect that our theoretical model would provide important implications on how to utilize quality signaling to solve adverse selection issues in markets under information asymmetry.

  • Capstone design education is essential in the engineering design process according to the certification standards of ABEEK. Capstone design process should be properly trained in undergraduate courses in order to increase the design ability of systems, components and processes within realistic constraints. In this study, a modified design model as a capstone design education model was proposed to reduce the separation between the design process at industrial sites and the design process at university education. The modified design model based on 6-sigma methodology is composed of 6 design steps such as define, measure, analyse, design, verify, and report. Each step has appropriated design contents and tools, and is configured to generate design results. The proposed design model was directly applied to the capstone design class for automotive engineering in Kunsan National University, and it was confirmed that the proposed DMADVR methodology was a very useful design education model to enhance the design ability, teamwork ability and communication skills required by ABEEK.

  • Purpose: In this paper, a Design for Six Sigma(DFSS) methodology based on DMADV(Define-Measure-Analyze-Design-Verify) roadmap is presented. Methods: DFSS tools are given for each DMADV phase which is suitable for the aircraft development process. A cost reduction case study of a navigation simulation is demonstrated. Results: DFSS roadmap are presented with implementation tools for each phase. Conclusion: We propose a DFSS methodology which can benefit the design and development personnel to implement DFSS not only in aircraft industry but also in other order-based industries in general.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the perceptions of those teachers who attentd the second annual environmental education program for certification of a second-major regarding environmental education, and to provide reference materials for development of the next phase in environmental education programs and environmental textbooks. A survey methodology was used in the study. A survey, consisting of 16 questions, was developed by the researchers. The subjects consisted of 97 teachers. The teachers revealed their opinions in five categories of the survey, including environmental subjects, increased education and knowledges on environmental issues, a middle school environmental textbook, teaching methods on environment, and the structure of the program. Results from this study suggest a few directions for improvement of the next annual environmental certification program and the secondary school environmental textbooks.

  • The purpose of this articls is to investigate the impacts of ISO 14001 certification on the compliance of environmental regulations by Korean companies. The impact of ISO 14001 certification on the industries obtained the certificates was studied through a survey with questionnaires, and the compliance of environmental regulations was investigated using governmental release data. Motivations of Korean companies' environmental management were mostly caused by customer's request and the requirement from foreign countries. Certified enterprises showed more 3 times compliance of environmental regulation than non-certified ones. Such results were accomplished by systematic environmental management such as clear implementation purpose and all employee's voluntary improving according to ISO 14001 requirement. The continuous monitoring system was possible through internal audit and biannual audit from the certification body, to be finally verified by the top management. The four steps in ISO 14001 environmental management system, which are objective, methodology, inspection and monitoring, has contributed to this achievement.

  • This study is concerned with the introduction and operation of smart factories. In order to accomplish the purpose of research, we made a standard system of smart factory and investigated the recognition system. This study was conducted as a grounded theory methodology among qualitative research methodologies. The results of the study are the necessity of a tool to appropriately evaluate the new manufacturing process management system and related management activities to achieve the successful introduction of smart factories and the management performance of the organization. In order to successfully implement the Smart Factory Certification System, it is necessary to establish a certification organization system, enact relevant laws and amendments, operate government-led pilot projects, train professional workers, and establish incentive policies.
