마이크로스트립라인 세라믹 유전체필터 설계 (Design of a microstripe line ceramic dielectric filter)

  • 본 논문에서는 EM 시뮬레이터를 이용하여 LTE2300 대역의 마이크로스트립 라인 대역여파기를 설계하고 시편을 제작하였다. 중심주파수 2300MHz, 대역폭 350MHz, 삽입손실 1.5dB, 감쇄는 1930MHz와 2690MHz에서 15dB 이상, 1000MHz에서 60dB 이상으로 설계하였다. 또한 반사손실은 15dB로 설계하였다. 구현은 유전율 9.8인 알루미나 유전체에서 하였으며, 전송선로와 접지는 silver paste를 사용하였다. EM 시뮬레이션을 통해 얻은 결과값과 이를 통해 실제 제작된 시편의 보정값을 얻어 data base화 하였으며, 좋은 재현성을 얻을 수 있음을 확인하였다. 특히 일반적으로 마이크로스트립 라인 필터의 제작에 적용되는 에칭 또는 포토리소그라피 대신 레이저를 이용하여 패턴을 구현하였으며, 이 또한 우수한 특성과 재현성을 보여주었다.

Alumina Ceramics Reinforced by Ni-coated Chopped Alumina Fiber

  • Alumina composite reinforced by chopped alumina fiber was fabricated by filter-pressing the fiber slurry followed by the infiltration of alumina slurry. The chopped fiber was coated with nickel by electroless plating method. The green samples were densified by hot-pressing. Microstructures were studied by SEM and the mechanical properties such as bending strength and fracture toughness were measured. The resulting mechanical properties were analyzed in relation with processing parameters such as preform density and resulting microstructures. The load-displacement curve of the specimen with Ni interlayer but without Ni inclusion showed brittle fracture mode due to the direct contact between matrix and fiber. The load-displacement curve of the specimen with Ni interlayer and Ni inclusion in the matrix which is introduced by high applied pressure during specimen preparation showed non-brittle fracture mode due to the fiber pull-out and dutile phases in the matrix.

Preparation of Porous $Al_2O_3$-AIN-Mullite and $Al_2O_3$-AIN-SiC

  • Porous composite of $Al_2O_3$ and AIN based mullite and SiC can be prepared by alumium reaction synthesis and atmosphere controllied sintering in order to improve the durability of a gas filter body. The porous $Al_2O_3$-AIN-mullite, which has a strength of 168 kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ and porosity of 51.59%, could be obtained by stmospheric firing at $1600^{\circ}C$ and the porous $Al_2O_3$-AIN-SiC with a porosity of 33% and strength of 977 kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$, could also be prepared. The average pore size has been changed from 0.2$\mu\textrm{m}$ in a reduction atmosphere and to 2$\mu\textrm{m}$ in an air atmosphere, respectively.

  • Aging stabilities of the operating frequency of piezoelectric devices such as filter, oscillator and discriminator are very important. In this study it was studied aging stabilities of the length-extensional vibration mode of Pb(Zr$\_$y/Ti$\_$1-y/)O$_3$+x[wt%]Cr$_2$O$_3$ ceramics. PZT ceramics in Morphotropic phase boundary have higher aging rates of k$\_$31/ and resonant frequency than those in tetragonal phase or rhombohedral phase. Thermal aging moves the composition with maximum aging rate to Zr-rich side in Cr not added PZT system. Aging rate of resonant frequency of the ceramics with x=0.1, y=0.53 and x=0.3, y=0.53 increased by thermal aging.

  • The materials processing factors such as remelting and casting, heat treatment and microstructure, sheet rolling and can body forming in the aluminum can-to-can recycling procedure have been investigated. Aluminum used beverage can(UBC) was remelted together with virgin aluminum. The ceramic filter was used during casting to remove large impurities. As-cast microstructure was composed of large intermetallic compound (mainly $\beta$ -phase) distributed in the aluminum matrix. By heat treatment, $\beta$ -phase was transformed to $\alpha$ -phase which was also formed from $Mg_2$Si particles. The heat treated ingots were hot-rolled at 48$0^{\circ}C$ and cold-rolled to thin sheets. Can making from this thin sheets was successful and earing was measured after can making. There was a critical cold reduction rate for minimum earing. Some cracks were initiated from the impurity particles which was not removed during filtering.

Compact LTCC LPF Chip for Microwave Radar Sensor Applications

  • A $5^{th}$-order low-pass filter (LPF) chip implemented in a six-layer low-temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) dielectric substrate has been presented. Lumped elements constituting the LPF are designed three-dimensionally in multilayers. In order to improve the parasitic and mutual coupling effects between them, the LPF is designed by sequentially integrating the three-dimensional (3D) lumped elements, by comparing it to the results of the schematic circuit and 3D electromagnetic (EM) analysis. The designed 3D LPF chip was fabricated in a six-layer LTCC substrate as small as $4.0{\times}3.22{\times}0.68mm^3$. The measured return and insertion losses are less than -11 dB and -0.61 dB, respectively, below 1.5 GHz.

  • 최근 수 십 년간 발전소의 연소효율은 급속히 향상되어왔으나 $CO_2$, NOx 등과 같은 온실 유해가스의 제어에 관한 심각한 문제점들을 직면한 상태이다. 발전공정에서 발생되는 온실 유해가스의 저감 방법으로 매체순환식 가스 연소발전 공정이 최근에 새로운 대안으로 제시되고 있다 그러나 매체순환식 가스연소시스템 내부의 bead상 매체입자들이 입자간 혹은 입자와 반응기 벽간의 충돌과 마찰에 의하여 마모가 되게 되고, 그 결과 원하지 않는 량의 마모입자가 배출가스와 함께 배출되게 된다. 세라믹 캔들필터는 고온고압 연소공정 등에서 배출되는 가스내의 입자상 오염물질을 회수 처리하는데 효과적인 장치로써 널리 개발되고 있다.   • 세라믹캔들필터 집진장치의 형상 설계 시 장치내의 유동장의 균일도와 필터 표면으로의 입자 부하 현상이 중요한 설계 요소로 다루어지고 있다. 장치 내부의 유동 조건을 조절하여 필터 표면상에 도달하는 입자의 농도를 낮추거나 균일하게 유지시킬 경우, 부착된 입자층 두께의 성장으로 인한 압력손실의 증가율을 줄일 수 있고 이로 인하여 탈진 주기 또한 감소시킬 수 있다. 탈진 조작의 저감으로 인하여 필터의 수명 증대로 필터의 교체 시기를 연장시킬 수 있으므로 세라믹캔들필터 집진장치의 운전 및 유지보수비의 저감을 이룰 수 있다.   • Among after treatment devices which reduce exhaust gas of diesel engine, diesel oxidation catalyst(DOC) with high reduction efficiency for gaseous matter and particulate matter is now being studied actively. In this study, an experiment was conducted to analyze the effects on factors of oxidaton characteristics and conversion efficiency of DOC. We tested to estimate change of engine performance whether a 11,000cc diesel engine equipps with DOC or not. We conducted test to estimate the reduction efficiency of exhaust gas in P-5 mode, in D-13 mode of heavy duty diesel regulation mode and in somoke opacity mode for two samples and also we conducted test to analyze the effects about both exhaust gas velocities 1,100rpm and 2,200rpm
