Ceutyocestus aymatus의 인체 감염 1례 (A Human Case of Centrocestus armatus Infection in Korea)

  • 이형흡층류의 하나인 Centrocestus armatus의 인체감염 1례가 praziquantel 투여후 성충을 수집, 동정함으로써 확인되었다. 환자는 42세 남자로 경남 산청군에 거주하였으며 상복부 통증, 설사, 소화불량 등을 호소하였다. 환자는 간흡충, 이형흡충류 및 극구흡충 충란 양성이었다. 장흡충류 치료를 위하여 praziquantel 10mg/kg를 투여하였고 MgSO4으로 설사를 유도하고 설사변을 입체해부현미경으로 검사한 바 C. armatus 성충 1마리와 극구흡충 유충 2마리가 수집되었다. 환자는 피라미 등 민물고기를 자주 생식하였다 하며 치료 2∼3주 전에도 피라미를 회로 먹었다고 한다. 따라서 피라미를 비롯한 민물고기가 C. armatus의 감염원이 되었을 것으로 추측되었다.

강원도 횡성지성 백로의 소장 흡충류 감염상태 (Trematode infections in the small intestine of Egretta alba modesta in Kangwon-do)

  • 1990연 6월부터 9월 사이에 강원도 횡성군의 백로 서식지에서 12마리의 중대백로를 포획하여 소장 내의 흡충류 감염 상태를 조사하고 아울러 검출된 흡충의 형태 특징을 관찰하여 종을 분류한 결과 5종의 흡충 Metagonimus sp. (67%), Centrocestus armntus(67%), Echinochasmus japonicus(50%), Strigea falconis(83%)와 Diplostomidae요(33%) 감염이 분류동정되었다. 이상의 결과로 중대백로는 인수공통기생충의 보유숙주로서 중요한 인체 기생충의 매개조류임을 알 수 있었다. Prevalence of Zoonotic Trematode Metacercariae in Freshwater Fish from Gangwon-do, Korea

  • The infection status of zoonotic trematode metacercariae was investigated in a total of 2,293 freshwater fish collected from 11 rivers or streams in 9 administrative regions of Gangwon-do, Korea for 5 years (2009-2013). All fish were collected by netting methods and examined using the artificial digestion methods. Clonorchis sinensis metacercariae were detected in 4 fish species, i.e., Pungtungia herzi, Squalidus japonicus coreanus, Acheilognathus rhombeus, and Ladislabia taczanowskii, from only Hantangang in Cheorwon-gun. Metagonimus spp. metacercariae were found in 1,154 (50.3%) fish and their average number per infected fish was 55.8. Among the positive fish species, especially Tribolodon hakonensis from Namdaecheon in Yangyang-gun and Plecoglossus altivelis from Osipcheon in Samcheok-si were most heavily infected. Centrocestus armatus metacercariae were detected in 611 (26.7%) fish and the average metacercarial burden per infected fish was 1,032. Two chub species, Zacco platypus and Zacco temminckii were highly and heavily infected with C. armatus metacercariae in almost all regions surveyed. Echinostoma spp. metacercariae were also found in 24 fish from a few localities, but their numbers per fish infected were very low. From the above results, it is confirmed that the metacercariae of intestinal flukes, especially Metagonimus spp. and C. armatus, were heavily infected, while C. sinensis metacercariae were rarely found in fish from Gangwon-do, Korea.

  • 우리 나라 5대 강의 19개 하천에서 피라미와 갈겨니 총 370마리를 1988년 6월부터 9월까지 포획하고 개체별로 인공소화시켜 C. armatus 피낭유충 감염상을 조사하였다. 피라미의 피낭유충 감염률은 평균 86.8%, 어체당 피낭유충 수는 평균 224개(1∼5,431)이었으며, 갈겨니에서는 78.5% 및 131개(1∼2,711)이었다. 한강 수계에서 포획된 어류의 피낭유충 감염률과 어체당 피낭유충 수는 평균 73.4% 및 32개(1∼289)이었으며, 영산강산 어류는 각각 88.0% 및 44개(2∼176)이었다. 금강, 탐진강 및 섬진강산 어류는 모두 피낭유충에 감염되어 있었으며 어체당 평균 피낭유충 수는 지역별로 각각 45개(2∼243), 59개(3∼311) 및 119개(1∼1,682)이었다. 낙동강 수계에서 포획된 어류의 피낭유충 감염률은 81.0%이었으며 어체당 피낭유충 수는 평균 348개(1∼5,431)이었다. 이 연구로 C. armatus 는 우리 나라 5대 강 유역에 널리 분포하고 있음을 확인하였다.

Infections with Centrocestus armatus Metacercariae in Fishes from Water Systems of Major Rivers in Republic of Korea

  • The infection status of Centrocestus armatus metacercariae (CaMc) was broadly surveyed in freshwater fishes from major river systems in the Republic of Korea (Korea) during 2008-2017. A total of 14,977 fishes was caught and examined by the artificial digestion method. CaMc were detected in 3,818 (97.1%) (2,114 Z. platypus: 96.1% and 1,704 Z. temminckii: 98.4%) out of 3,932 Zacco spp. examined and their density was 1,867 (2,109 in Z. platypus and 1,567 in Z. temminckii) per fish infected. The prevalences with CaMc were high, 93.7-100%, in Zacco spp. from all surveyed areas. However, their densities were more or less different by the surveyed areas and fish species. They were most high in Nakdong-gang in Gyeongsangnam-do (4,201 in average), and followed by Geum-gang (2,343), Nakdong-gang in Gyeongsangbuk-do (1,623), Han-gang (1,564), Tamjin-gang and Yeongsan-gang (1,540), streams in the east coast (1,028), Seomjin-gang (488) and Mangyeong-gang (170). In another species of rasborinid fish, Opsariichthys uncirostris amurensis, CaMc were detected in 222 (74.8%) out of 297 ones examined and their density was 278 (1-4,480) per fish infected. CaMc were also detected in total 41 fish species except for the rasborinid fish, Z. platypus, Z. temminckii and O. uncirostris amurensis. Conclusively, it was confirmed that among the 3 species of rasborinid fish, Z. platypus and Z. temminckii are highly prevalent and O. uncirostris amurensis is moderately prevalent with CaMc. Additionally, we could know that variety of fish species act as the second intermediate hosts of C. armatus in Korea.

  • Centrocestus armatus의 성장 발육 과정을 관찰하기 위하여 피라미(Zacco platypus)를 인공소화시켜 획득한 피낭유충을 100 혹은 200개씩 흰쥐 (Wistar strain)에 경구 감염시키고 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 14 및 28일 후에 경추탈구법으로 희생시키고 소장을 적출해 내었다. 적출한 소장을 십이지장, 공장, 회장으로 분리하여 0.85% 생리식염수 내에서 열고 장내용물로부터 충체를 회수하였다. 회수된 충체를 10% formalin으로 cover glass 압력하에서 고정하고 Semichon's acetocarmine으로 염색한 다음 광학현미경으로 관찰하고 계측하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 충체회수율은 평균 10.7%이었다. 감염 1일부터 8일까지는 회수율이 서서히 감소하였고 그 이후에는 28일 까지 관찰한 따 급속히 감소하였다. 2. 회수된 충체의 35.5%는 십이지장에, 62.5%는 공장에 분포하였다. 3. 탈낭된 피낭유충은 길이 $293{\mu\textrm{m}}$, 폭 $144{\mu\textrm{m}}$이었으나, 감염 후 14일에는 길이와 폭이 각각 $382{\mu\textrm{m}}$$214{\mu\textrm{m}}$ 로 자라 있었다. 4. 피낭유충은 생식기관 중 고환과 Mehlis선을 가지고 있었으며, 감염 제 1일에는 난소가, 제 2일에는 저정낭과 난환소가 출현하였다. 제 3일 된 충체에는 수정낭이 나타났으며 충란이 형성되었다. 5. 생식기관은 감염 제14일까지 빠른 속도로 발달을 계속하였으며 자궁 내 충란수도 증가하였다. 이상의 결과로 보아 C. armatus는 흰쥐에서 소장 상부에 기생하며 감염 후 3일 만에 성충으로 발육한다는 것을 알았다.

Infection Status with Digenetic Trematode Metacercariae in Fishes from Coastal Lakes in Gangwon-do, Republic of Korea

  • The infection status of digenetic trematode metacercariae (DTM) was investigated in fishes from coastal lakes in Gangwon-do, the Republic of Korea (Korea). All fishes collected in 5 lakes were examined with the artificial digestion method. More than 10 species, i.e., Metagonimus spp., Pygidiopsis summa, Centrocestus armatus, Metorchis orientalis, M. taiwanensis, Clinostomum complanatum, Echinostoma spp., Stictodora spp., Diplostomum sp. and Diplostomid No. 1. by Morita (1960), of DTM were detected in fishes from 5 coastal lakes in Gangwon-do. Metagonimus spp. metacercariae were found in 52 (41.3%) out of 126 sea rundace, Tribolodon hakonensis, from 5 lakes, and their density was 14.6 per fish infected. P. summa metacercariae were detected in 48 (84.2%) out of 57 mullets from 5 lakes, and their density was 316 per fish infected. C. armatus metacercariae were detected in 7 (14.6%) T. hakonensis and 3 (15.0%) Tridentiger brevispinis from Hyang-ho, and 5 (19.2%) Acanthogobius flavimanus from Gyeongpo-ho. Stictodora spp. metacercariae were found in 4 fish species, i.e., Tridentiger obscurus, Tridentiger trigonocephalus, Chelon haematocheilus, and Acanthogobius lactipes, from Gyeongpo-ho. Total 15 C. complanatum metacercariae were detected in 2 (9.1%) crucian carp, Carassius auratus, from Songji-ho. M. taiwanensis metacercariae were found in T. hakonensis from Hyang-ho and Gyeongpo-ho and in Pseudorasbora parva from Gyeongpo-ho. Total 11 M. orientalis metacercariae were detected in 3 (6.3%) T. hakonensis from Hyang-ho. From the above results, it was confirmed that various species of DTM are infected in fishes from coastal lakes in Gangwon-do, Korea.

가시입이형흡충에 감염된 흰쥐의 초기 장병변 (Intestinal pathologic findings at early stage infection by Centrocestus ormatus in albino rats)

  • 이 연구는 가시입이형흡충 감염에 의한 초기 장병변을 관찰하기 위하여 수행되었다. 감염 1일부터 7일까지 가시입이형흡충은 십이지장과 공장의 융모간극 최하부에서 관찰되었다 괴낭유충 1.000개와 5.000개 감염군 사이에 병변의 정도 차이는 인정되지 않았다. 충체 둘레에 있는 융모 기질에 가벼운 부종과 염증세포침윤이 있었다. 감염 4일에 선와는 경도의 과증식을 보였으며 융모는 중등도고 위축된 소견을 보였나 장병변은 충체 주위에 국한되었으며 광범위하게 확산되지 않았다. 따라서 장병변은 가시입흡충의 장상피세포에 대한 기계적으로 손상으로 인하여 야기되었나고 생각된다.

Fishborne Trematode Metacercariae Detected in Freshwater Fish from Vientiane Municipality and Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR

  • Freshwater fish from Vientiane Municipality and Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR were examined by the muscle compression and artificial digestion methods to know the infection status with trematode metacercariae. In the fish from Savannakhet, 2 species of metacercariae, Opisthorchis viverrini and Haplorchis taichui, were detected. O. viverrini metacercariae were found in 6 species of fish, Puntius brevis, Hampala dispar, Esomus metallicus, Mystacoleucus marginatus, Puntioplites falcifer, and Cyclocheilichthys armatus. H. taichui metacercariae were detected in 3 species of fish, P. brevis, P. falcifer, and M. marginatus. In the fish from Vientiane, 4 species of metacercariae, O. viverrini, H. taichui, Haplorchis yokogawai, and Centrocestus formosanus, were detected. Among them, O. viverrini metacercariae were found in 7 species of fish, Onychostoma elongatum, C. armatus, H. dispar, P. brevis, Cyclocheilichthys repasson, Osteochilus hasseltii, and Hypsibarbus lagleri. The metacercariae of H. taichui were detected in 6 species of fish, C. repasson, O. elongatum, C. armatus, H. dispar, Labiobarbus leptocheila, and Cirrhinus molitorella. The metacercariae of H. yokogawai were found in 9 species of fish, C. repasson, O. elongatum, C. armatus, H. dispar, Labiobarbus leptocheila, O. hasseltii. C. molitorella, Hypsibarbus wetmorei, and H. lagleri. The metacercariae of C. formosanus were detected in 4 species of fish, C. repasson, P. brevis, O. hasseltii, and C. molitorella. From these results, it is confirmed that fish borne trematode metacercariae, i.e. O. viverrini, H. taichui, H. yokogawai and C. formosanus, are prevalent in various species of freshwater fish from Savannakhet Province and Vientiane Municipality, Lao PDR.

Trematode Metacercariae in Freshwater Fish from Water Systems of Hantangang and Imjingang in Republic of Korea

  • The infection status of freshwater fish with digenetic trematode metacercariae was examined in water systems of Hantangang and Imjingang (River), the Republic of Korea. A total of 877 (594 from Hantangang and 283 from Imjingang) fishes were examined by the artificial digestion methods. Clonorchis sinensis metacercariae were detected in 7 (1.2%) fishes (in 3 spp.) from Hantangang in Cheorwon-gun, Gangwon-do, and 40 (14.1%) fishes (in 7 spp.) from Munsancheon in Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do. The average densities were 1.9 and 35.6 per fish infected, respectively. Metagonimus spp. metacercariae were detected in 312 (52.5%) and 113 (39.9%) fishes from Hantangang and Imjingang, and their average densities were 47.5 and 9.6 per fish infected, respectively. Centrocestus armatus metacercariae were found in 161 (27.1%) and 70 (24.7%) fishes from Hantangang and Imjingang, and their average number per fish infected was 694 and 82, respectively. Echinostoma spp. metacercariae were detected in 50 (8.4%) and 94 (33.2%) fishes from Hantangang and Imjingang, and their average densities were 9.6 and 23.1 per fish infected, respectively. The infection status of fishes with metacercariae of Stephanoprora spp., Diplostomum spp., Clinostomum complanatum, Metorchis orientalis, and Metorchis taiwanensis were analyzed by surveyed regions. Conclusively, it was confirmed that C. sinensis metacercariae were quite commonly detected in fishes from Munsancheon but rarely from other localities, whereas the metacercariae of other digenetic trematodes were relatively prevalent in fishes from water systems of Hantangang and Imjingang in Korea.
