The first zoeas of Eualus leptognathus are described and illustrated in detail from laboratory-hatched material. Morphological comparison is made with previous description of this species from Japan. Minute rostrum and two anteroventral denticles behind pterygostomian spine on the carapace readily distinguish the first zoeas of Eualus leptognathus from those of Eualus sinensis, the only known zoeas of Eualus from Korean waters.

Two species of the hippolytid shrimps, Lebbeus speciosus and Lebbeus comanthi, are described and illustrated for the first time in Korea. They were collected from the East Sea. Lebbeus speciosus was found in a scallop farm of Jumunjin, Gangneung, and L. comanthi associated with crinoids, was found in Gampo, Gyeongju. The difference between these two related species is in the number of dorsal teeth of the rostrum, five teeth in L. speciosus and a single tooth in L. comanthi. The Korean Lebbeus species has increased to 6 species by the present report. They are L. grandimana, L. polaris, L. unalaskensis, L. groenlandicus, L. speciosus, and L. comanthi.

We describe and illustrate two pontoniine shrimps, Cuapetes grandis and Periclimenes ornatus, for the first time in Korea. C. grandis was collected in an artifical reef of Dadae, Geojedo Island by SCUBA diving in 15-20 m depth. This species was found in an oyster within an artificial reef and appeared to be free-living. P. ornatus was collected from Seongsanpo, Jejudo Island by SCUBA diving in 10 m depth. This species had a symbiotic relationship with sea anemone. This record extends their previously known range from southern Japan to the Korean peninsula and the number of known pontoniine species in Korea to four.

Two crangonid shrimps, Paracrangon abei Kubo, 1937 and Pontocaris sibogae (De Man, 1918), collected from the northeastern and southeastern waters of Jeju Island, are newly recorded into the Korean fauna. The former is the second species and the latter is the only species of each genus recorded in Korea. Morphological and distributional accounts of these two species are briefly discussed.

새우류의 분류학적 연구 결과로 딱총새우속의 7개 그룹 중 diadema 그룹에 속하는 긴원통발딱총새우 (Alpheus paracrinitus)를 한국에서 처음 보고 한다. 이 종은 한국산 딱총새우속의 다른 종들과 다음과 같은 특징에 의해 구분된다: 큰 제 1가슴다리의 손바닥은 단면이 둥그스름한 원형이며, 어떤 홈도 존재하지 않는다. 작은 제 1가슴다리의 손가락은 가동지가 "balaenicep" 모양이다. 제3가슴다리의 발가락마디는 단순하다. 이제 한국산 딱총새우류는 7속, 23종으로 구성된다.

A hippolytid shrimp, Lebbeus grandimana, is described from the southern part of the East Sea and this is the first record of the species in Korea. The genus Lebbeus of the family Hippolytidae currently comprises four species in Korea. A key to identify the four species of the genus Lebbeus from Korean waters is provided.

Two hippolytid shrimps, Spirontocaris spinus (Sowerby, 1805) and Lebbeus unalaskensis (Rathbun, 1902) are described on the basis of material collected from the deepwater of the East Sea, Korea at 310-810 m. The former has been incorrectly known as Spirontocaris arcuata Rathbun, 1902 in Korea and the latter is a new member of the Korean fauna. Morphological and distributional accounts of these species are presented with illustrations.

실험실에서 부화한 끄덕새우 (Rhynchocinetes uritaj) 의 제 1 조에아 유생을 상세히 기재하였다. 끄덕새우의 제1조에아 유생은 아래로 향한 이마뿔이 작은더듬이의 바깥채찍을 지나며 더듬이 안다리 끝에 긴 우상모와 짧은 강모가 있고 여섯마디로 된 더듬이비늘을 가져 동 속 R. conspiciocellus 와 R. durbanensis의 제1조에아 유생과 구별된다 끄덕새우속과 Cinetorhynchus 속의 제1조에아 유생은 꼬리마디의 모양으로 각각 구별할 수 있다.
