Objectives: The purpose of the study is to investigate the relationship between noise awareness, hearing ability, and dental hygiene performance in dental hygienists. Methods: The subjects were 234 dental hygienists in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, and Incheon. The questionnaire consisted of 3 questions of general characteristics of the subjects, 1 question of noise awareness, 3 questions of hearing ability, 5 questions of dental hygiene performance, 1 question of noise reduction necessity, and 2 questions of noise control. Noise awareness, dental hygiene performance, and noise reduction necessity were measured by Likert 5 scale. Cronbach's alpha was 0.825 in dental hygiene performance reliability. Results: There was a significant difference in noise recognition by age(p<0.01) and working career(p<0.05). Those who pumped up the higher TV volume accounted for 31.6% and 3.0% had hearing impairment in the regular health checkup. 3.4% of the respondents complained of hearing loss, ear fluid, and equilibrium problem diagnosed by the doctors. The relationship between the type of workplace environment and task performance showed a significant difference. Those who work in the dental hospitals had high score of 3.43, while those who work in dental clinics had 3.20(p<0.05). The increased level of noise recognition affected the task performance and it is necessary to reduce the noise level. More try must be focused on the noise exposure prevention. Conclusions: In order to reduce the problems due to noise and improve their quality of life, it is necessary to change the noise recognition in the work place.

This study examined the nursing student's preliminary knowledge and awareness of patient's personal information protection. 187 respondents, who were trained in 2 different nursing colleges in Kyungpook province, participated in the survey from May 18 to June 12, 2015. Using the data collected, descriptive statistics, T-test and one-way ANOVA were implemented. As a result, the student nurses, who had heard about the Personal Information Protection Act showed a significantly higher awareness score of patient's personal information protection behavior than those who did not. The respondents educated in personal information protection were reported to have a higher score of awareness about the patient's personal information protection behavior. In this regard, it is vital for university organizers to develop education associated with ethics and information security, which could enhance the perceptions of personal information protection for student nurses before their working career begins.

This study was conducted to raise awareness of careers in the Department of Library and Information Science (LIS) as well as to investigate current awareness and preferences for LIS Department as a strategy to cope with the rapidly changing university environment. To do this, a survey of high school students was carried out, with results as follows: First, awareness about the LIS Department and awareness about librarians in our country's high school students was very low. Second, for possible careers in LIS Department, students responded that a graduate of LIS department was likely to enter the workplace in public libraries, state libraries, university libraries, or school libraries, but they would like to work at broadcasting library, national libraries, school libraries, university libraries, public libraries, or portals. Third, awareness of the career path for the LIS Department showed a very large impact on a preference for the LIS Department. Therefore, students who have heard about the LIS Department are highly probable to select this department when they reach university.
The purpose of this study was empirical verification of the effect of adolescents' truancy experience on the self-awareness and emotional problems. For this, using the data of 2016 in the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey(KCYPS), we compared and analyzed using t-test and multiple regression analysis the self-awareness and emotional problems of adolescents who experienced truancy and adolescents who did not. As a result of the analysis, adolescents with truancy experience had relatively low self-awareness, and statistically significant but low scores in self-identity and career identity. However, there was a clear difference in emotional problems, and truancy adolescents scored high in attention, aggression, physical symptoms, and depression. This proved that adolescents with experience of truancy were more exposed to emotional problems, and it was necessary to develop a support system and program for this.
Objectives: This study aimed to assess the impact of care workers' knowledge of elderly oral health, education on elderly oral healthcare and behavioral needs, awareness of elderly oral healthcare, and actual practices in elderly oral healthcare. Furthermore, it explores the mediating effects of elderly oral healthcare education and behavioral needs on the relationship between awareness and practice. Methods: Data were collected from October 11 to December 29, 2023, from 172 certified care workers employed in nursing hospitals and other workplaces. For analyzing the data, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and hierarchical regression were conducted using SPSS Statistics 21.0. Results: Elderly oral health knowledge, education and behavioral needs, awareness, and practice were significantly higher among: those aged 51 years and older, female, primarily working in nursing hospitals, with a total career span of 10 years, higher job satisfaction, in organizations prioritizing elderly oral healthcare, and with superior education in elderly oral health. Elderly oral healthcare education and behavioral needs had partial mediating effects on the relationship between care workers' awareness and practice of elderly oral healthcare. Everybody dreams of a bright future. A future career determines the direction and quality of an individual's life. Achieving positive career development is one of the most crucial tasks during adolescence. In both national and personal perspectives, the vocational identity of science-gifted students provides some important points to discuss. The purpose of this study is to examine the vocational identity of science-gifted students. Participants included 103 science-gifted students who have received an acceptance letter from a science-gifted school. The modified VISA (Vocational Identity Status Assessment) model was used to analyze the vocational identities of gifted students with 'a letter to myself in the future'. The study found that vocational identity status of the science-gifted students was determined as Foreclosed and Searching Moratorium. The science-gifted students demonstrated more Commitment than Exploration and Reconsideration. They also showed higher levels in Career Identification, In-Narrow Exploration, and Career Flexibility. In addition, they shared common orientations in vocational identity such as strong enthusiasm, challenging limits, and responsibility towards humanity. We expect that this study will contribute to the social interest of science-gifted students in the area of career education. In order for science-gifted students to nurture their full potential with a deeper awareness of education, follow-up studies have to be conducted to provide greater and ideal career education.
Objectives : The purpose of the study is to obtain the basic data for an industrial oral health project enhancing the quality of life and oral health. Methods : Questionnaire consisted of 17 questions including 7 questions of general characteristics, 5 questions of oral health awareness, and 5 questions of the behavior of oral health. A self-reported questionnaire was carried out from September 1 to September 28, 2012, The subjects were 400 male and female sanitation workers in private corporations in Jeonju. A total of 354 questionnaires were analyzed using SPSS windows ver. 12.0 (SPSS Inc. Korea). Results : The majority of the subjects were male in 50's. Temporary contract workers are older aged and 2 to 5 years of career workers were the majority of the cleaners. Average monthly income was less than 2 million Korean Won. Those who had a higher academic background and permanent position tended to have oral health knowledge (p<0.05). Female workers had healthier subjective oral health status than male workers. Those who were in older age, single, temporary position, and 2 to 5 years of career tended to have healthier subjective oral health status (p<0.05). Those who were in older age, married, and long period of employment were worrying about their health (p<0.05). The subjective oral health knowledge was high in 49.7% of the workers because they were not able to brush teeth during work hours. They were able to brush their teeth only after dinner. It was low in female and older aged workers (p<0.05). The brushing method included a combination of top to bottom and from the side to side. Work environment, education, age, monthly income, and types of employment were the important factors to oral health care. It is necessary to provide the right oral health care program for the workers in the near future.
This study was conducted to investigate the degree of PSI (self-evaluative awareness of problem solving ability) in PMHNP (psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners) and to identified the factors predicting problem solving ability of them, in order to provide basic data for the development of the specific education programs to improve problem solving ability. Data was collected from 355 subjects who have the certificates of PMHNP working in hospitals and public centers. Chun Seok Kyun's instruments (1993) based on the Heppner and Petersen's Problem Solving Inventory (1982) was used to determine PMHNPs' PSI. The results were as follows; 1. The average score of PSI of PMHNP was $2.81\pm0.23$. Of the three factors. there marked the lowest score in the factor 3. personal control $(2.56\pm0.43)$, and the highest score was in the factor 1. problem-solving confidence $(2.95\pm0.34)$. 2. The differences in PSI were significant for degree of education and career in psychiatric settings (p=0.000l, p=0.0187). 3. Job satisfaction was the highest factor predicting PSI of PMHNP$(17.9\%)$. When degree of education, career in psychiatric setting and marital status were added, the total predictors explained $24.3\%$. As a result, it is necessary to conduct further research in relation to the problem-solving process, the development of education program. skill acquisition and measurement of problem solving in nursing practice.
