도금 전처리공정에서 맞춤형 알칼리계 탈지제 개발 (Development of Alkaline Degreasing Agent for Electroplating Pretreatment Process)

  • 본 연구에서는 도금전처리 공정에서 사용되는 다양한 조성의 맞춤형 알칼리계 탈지제를 개발하고, 탈지제의 수명을 예측함으로 효율을 높임과 동시에 공정품의 불량을 줄이고자 하였다. 알칼리계 탈지제는 침지형 탈지제로 NaOH, $Na_2CO_3$, $Na_2SiO_3$, SLS 등을 일정비율로 첨가하여 제조하였으며, 제조된 탈지제의 성능평가를 위해 알칼리계 탈지액의 온도를 $40{\sim}50^{\circ}C$로 설정하여 30~40 min 동안 오염된 철 시편을 넣은 후 오염물을 제거하였다. 오염물이 제거된 시편은 물방울 맺힘실험과 Hull-cell 도금분석을 통해 탈지제의 성능 및 수명을 확인하였다. 최적 탈지제의 조성은 NaOH (30 g/L) + SLS (6.0 g/L) + $Na_2SiO_3$ (2.0 g/L) + $Na_2CO_3$ (40 g/L)을 추천할 수 있으며, 물방울맺힘 실험과 Hull-cell 도금 분석 결과 최적 탈지조건은 $50^{\circ}C$, 35 min인 것으로 나타났다.

A New Streptothricin Family Antibiotic Producing Streptomyces Spp. Snus 8810-111 ; Characterization of The Producing Organisms, Fermentation, Isolation, and Structure Elucidation of Antibioitics

  • A new streptothricin family antibiotic producing Streptomyces spp. SNUS 8810-111 was isolated from a soil sample. Study of its morphological and physiological characters indicated that the antibiotic producing organism was a Streptomyces spp. Taxonomical studies suggested that the organism might belong to the genus streptomyces gougeroti. The organism produced antibiotics most in calcium carbonate-tryptic soy broth. The active principles were recovered from the broth with a cation exchange resin and eluted from the resin with HCI. Cellulose column chromatography gave two active principles.$^1H-^1H$ Homo-COSY study on the first compound revealed four structural components. Total hydrolysis of the antibiotic with HCI allowed isolation of $\beta-lysine$. From these data the antibiotic was found to be streptothricin D. The other compound showed one additional signal in the .$^1H$NMR and the $^{13}C$ NMR spectra. The signal was from a methyl group attached to a nitrogen atom. Comparison of the NMR signals with those of streptothricin D suggested that the compound was N-methyl-streptothricin D which was a new compound in the family of streptothricin antibiotics.

과인산석회(過燐酸石灰)와 요소(尿素) 및 농용(農用) 석회(石灰)의 배합(配合)에 의한 유효성인산(有效性燐酸) 및 요소태(尿素態) 질소(窒素)의 변화(變化)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (The effect of mixing of calcium superphosphate, urea and lime on the change of the available phosphate and urea-nitrogen)

  • This study was carried out to determine how the water soluble, the available $P_2O_5$ and urea-N would change in the course of time, when the mixtures of calcium superphosphate and urea with lime for fertilizer which occurred in Korea and largely contained calcium carbonate were made. Three kinds of materials, i. e., calcium superphosphate, urea and lime for fertilizer were used in this study. Three kinds of mixed fertilizer, i. e., A, B and C were made up by mixing these materials to satisfy the following formula. $$1)\;Ca(H_2PO_4)_2+CaCO_3+CO(NH_2)_2{\rightarrow}$$$$Ca_2H_2(PO_4)+H_2CO_3+NH_3$$ $$2)\;Ca(H_2PO_4)_2+CaCO_3+CO(NH_2)_2{\rightarrow}$$$$Ca_3(PO_4)_2+H_2CO_3+NH_3$$ $$3)\;Ca(H_2PO_4)_2+CaCO_3+CO(NH_2)_2{\rightarrow}$$$$Ca_3(PO_4)_2+H_2CO_3+CaCO_3+NH_3$$ A,B and C were placed in desiccators respectively a six month period. During the time of storage, the water soluble, the available phosphoric acid and urea-N were measured once a month, seven times with the control measurement. The results may be summarized as follows. 1. None of A, B and C showed any change in the urea-N with the lapse of time. This fact indicated that the combination of calcium superphosphate and urea with lime for fertilizer was not unfavourable. 2. A, B and C decreased in the amount of water soluble $P_2O_5$ with the passage of time. This fact indicated that the mixing of calcium superphosphate and urea with lime for fertilizer was unfeasible. 3. The available $P_2O_5$ in any of A,B and C did not undergo a change as time went by. This fact suggested that the combination of calcium superphate and urea with lime for fertilizer was favourable.

Al과 Ca을 함유한 화학제재의 첨가가 깔짚내 휘발성 지방산과 질소 함량에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Chemical Additives Containing Al and Ca on Volatile Fatty Acids and Nitrogen Contents of Litter)

  • The objectives of this study were conducted to determine the effects of two chemical amendments on volatile fatty acids (VFA) and nitrogen contents in poultry litter after broiler chicks were raised in poultry houses for 6 weeks. Two different additives were applied as a top dressing to the litter at a rate of $AlCl_3{\cdot}6H_2O$ (200 g)+$CaCO_3$ (50 g) or Alum (200 g)+$CaCO_3$ (50 g)/kg of rice bran; untreated litter served as controls. Application of $AlCl_3+CaCO_3$ and Alum+$CaCO_3$ reduced total VFA contents by 67% and 51% at 6 weeks, respectively, compard to the control groups. The decrease in litter pH with two chemical treatments results in decreased proportion of VFA and increased nitrogen contents of the litter. These results indicate that treating $AlCl_3+CaCO_3$ and Alum+$CaCO_3$ to poultry litter offers the potential for reducing an environmental impact.

염료태양전지용 고온안정성 전해질 (High Temperature Stable Eletrolyte for Dye Solar Cell)

  • The effect of addition of single and binary additives on the performance of dye-sensitized $TiO_2$ solar cells based on 1,2-dimethyl-3-propylimidazolium iodide (DMPII) in ethylene carbonate (EC) and gamma-butyrolactone (GBL) has been evaluated at different cell temperatures in the $30-120^{\circ}C$ range. The electrolyte containing a single additive, 2-(dimethylamino)-pyridine (DMAP) showed best performance, which showed further enhancement for an electrolyte containing binary additives, DMAP and 5-chloro-1-ethyl-2-methylimidazole (CEMI) in equal molar ratio. The performance of the dye sensitized solar cell (DSC) based on electrolyte containing binary additives were found to be better than an acetonitrile based electrolyte. The dependence of different photovoltaic parameters (Voc, Jsc, ff, n) of the DSC upon temperature has been studied over the $30-120^{\circ}C$ range and only a small decrease in conversion efficiency has been observed. Thus the electrolyte containing binary additives (DMAP, CEMI) in EC/GBL solvent and show better performance in the investigated temperature range ($30-120^{\circ}C$).

THE MICROSTRUCTURE OF Pb-DOPED SOLIDIFIED WASTE FORMS USING PORTLAND CEMENT AND CALCITE

  • An electron probe microanalysis (EPMA) investigation can provide quantitative and qualitative insight into the nature of the surface and bulk chemistry on solidified waste forms(SWF). The proportion of Pb in grain areas is below 0.3 wt. %, and the proportion near the border of the grain slightly increases to 0.98 wt. % but in the inter-particle areas farther from the grain, the concentration of Pb markedly increases. It is apparent that very little Pb diffuses into the tricalcium silicate($C_3S$) particles and most of the Pb exists as precipitates of sulfate, hydroxide, and carbonate in the cavity areas between $C_3S$ grains. Calcite additions on Pb-doped SWF are also observed to induce deeper incorporation of lead into the cement grains with EPMA line-analysis of cross-sections of cement grains. The line-analysis reveals the presence of $0.2{\sim}5$ weight % Pb over $5\;{\mu}m$ from cement grain boundaries. In the inter-particle areas, the ratio of Ca, Si, Al and S to Pb is relatively similar even at some distance from the grain border and the Pb (wt. %) ratio is reasonably constant throughout the whole inter-particles area. It is apparent that the enhanced development of C-S-H on addition of calcite can increasingly absorbs lead species within the silica matrix.

  • An efficient and selective method for the synthesis of ethyl 2-amino/aryloxy-3-aryl-4-oxo-5-phenyl-4,5-dihydro-3H-pyrrolo[3,2-d]pyrimidine-7-carboxylate derivatives has been developed. The main process involved the reaction of diethyl 1-phenyl-3-((triphenylphosphoranylidene)amino)-1H-pyrrole-2,4-dicarboxylate and aromatic isocyanates, followed by addition of amines/phenols in the presence of catalytic amount of sodium ethoxide or solid potassium carbonate.

Thermal Stability of Trifunctional Epoxy Resins Modified with Nanosized Calcium Carbonate

  • Trifunctional epoxy resin triglycidyl paraaminophenol (TGPAP)/$CaCO_3$ nanocomposites were prepared using the melt blending method. The effects of nano-$CaCO_3$ content on the thermal behaviors, such as cure behavior, glass transition temperature ($T_g$), thermal stability, and the coefficient of thermal extension (CTE), were investigated by several techniques. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) results indicated that the cure reaction of the TGPAP epoxy resin was accelerated with the addition of nano-$CaCO_3$. When the nano-$CaCO_3$ content was increased, the $T_g$ of the TGPAP/$CaCO_3$ nanocomposites did not obviously change, whereas the crosslinking density was linearly increased. The nanocomposites showed a higher thermal stability than that of the neat epoxy resin. This result could be attributed to the increased surface contact area between the nano-$CaCO_3$ particles and the epoxy matrix, as well as the high crosslinking density in the TGPAP/$CaCO_3$ nanocomposites. The CTE of the nanocomposites in the rubbery region was significantly decreased as the nano-$CaCO_3$ content was increased.

괴재 및 전로슬래그를 이용한 CO2 저감 및 칼슘 추출 후 슬래그 활용 (CO2 Sequestration and Utilization of Calcium-extracted Slag Using Air-cooled Blast Furnace Slag and Convert Slag)

  • 광물탄산화 기술은 천연광물 및 산업부산물에 포함된 칼슘이나 마그네슘을 이산화탄소와 반응시켜 탄산염을 생성하는 기술로 이산화탄소를 열역학적으로 안정한 형태로 저장할 수 있는 기술이다. 본 연구는 철강슬래그를 이용한 이산화탄소 저감 및 추출 후 슬래그 재활용을 통해 환경적 부담 및 공정 비용 절감을 절감할 수 있는 광물탄산화 상용화 기술 개발을 목표로 설정하였다. 추출 용매(염화암모늄)를 사용하여 괴재 및 전로슬래그로부터 칼슘을 추출하고 추출된 칼슘을 이산화탄소와 반응시켜 순도 98% 이상의 탄산칼슘을 합성하였다. 또한 칼슘 추출 후 슬래그를 건축자재(패널)로 활용하는 기술을 개발하였다. 슬래그의 칼슘 추출효율에 따라 상이한 결과를 보였지만 광물탄산화 전체 공정에 있어 중량 비(약 80-90%)를 차지하는 칼슘 추출 후 슬래그(잔여슬래그)의 활용을 통해 광물탄산화 공정으로부터 배출되는 산업부산물의 양을 최소화하고자 하였다. 잔여슬래그는 시멘트 패널 제작에 활용되는 규사미분 대체 물질로서 이용하였고 기존 시멘트 패널과 물성평가(압축강도 및 휨강도)를 상호 비교하였다. 용액 내 칼슘 농도는 유도결합 플라즈마 분광분석기(Inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer, ICP-OES)를 사용하여 분석하였다. 합성한 탄산칼슘은 X선 회절 분석법(X-ray diffraction, XRD)을 이용하여 결정학적 특성 및 정량 분석하였고 주사 전자 현미경(Field emission scanning electron microscope, FE-SEM)을 사용하여 표면 형상을 확인하였다. 시멘트 패널평가는 KS L ISO 679에 준하여 패널 제작 및 패널의 압축강도와 휨강도를 측정하였다.

2가 망간의 독성 저감을 위해 철산화물과 칼슘화합물을 이용한 망간 흡착 (Adsorption of Mn on iron minerals and calcium compounds to reduce Mn(II) toxicity)

  • 망간은 다양한 산화수로 존재하며 Mn(II)은 망간 중 가장 이동성이 높은 종으로 식물에 독성을 미치며 성장을 제한한다. 따라서, 본 연구의 목적은 다양한 흡착제를 이용하여 망간을 안정화함으로써 망간의 독성을 저감시키는 것이다. Ferrihydrite, schwertmannite, goethite를 합성하여 XRD로 확인하였고 망간 흡착에 사용하였다. Hematite는 구매하여 망간 흡착제로 사용하였다. CaNO3, CaSO4, CaCO3와 같은 칼슘 화합물은 pH를 높이고 망간을 산화시키기 위해 사용하였다. 망간의 흡착을 위해 다양한 농도의 Mn(II) 용액을 4가지 철산화물, CaNO3, CaSO4, CaCO3와 24시간 반응시킨 후 여과하여 용액에 남아있는 망간 농도를 ICP-OES로 분석하고 망간의 흡착율과 흡착등온식을 계산하였다. 그 결과, 철 산화물 중에서는 hematite에 의한 망간 흡착율이 가장 높았으며 ferrihydrite가 다음으로 흡착율이 높았다. 칼슘 화합물의 경우 CaCO3>CaNO3>CaSO4 순으로 흡착율이 높았다. CaCO3은 hematite보다 높은 흡착율을 보였고 CaCO3를 처리하면 pH를 증가시켜 망간의 독성을 감소하는 데 가장 효과적일 것으로 판단된다.
