  • 탄소섬유강화 적층재(Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic, 이하 CFRP)는 강성도는 뛰어나지만 충격특성에는 취약한 단점이 있다. 따라서 충격저항과 충격에너지 흡수율이 상대적으로 우수한 유리섬유강화 적층재(Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic, GFRP) 및 아라미드섬유강화 적층재(Aramid Fbier Reinforced Plastic, 이하 AFRP)를 CFRP 적용분야에 대체하고 점차적으로 피로특성을 개선시켜 나간다면 특성이 더욱 개선된 제품을 사용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.(중략)

  • This investigation has been studied about friction and wear properties which were important problem, when carbon fiber reinforced plastic(CFRP) was used practically. Unidirection carbon fiber reinforced composites was fabricated with epoxy resin matrix and carbon fiber as a reinforced, and its surface was modified by the ion-assisted reaction. And then we tested the their friction and wear properties according to the ion-irradiation. when the amount of ion-irradiation was 1${\times}$10l6$\^$16/ ions/$\textrm{cm}^2$, the friction coefficient values were about 0.1, where as, the friction coefficient values of non-treatment composites were about 0.16. The former was the stablest in wear mode. We know that ion-irradiation was not proportioned to the friction coefficient, so we found the optimal conditions of the friction and wear according to the ion-irradiation.

  • 철근콘크리트구조물은 시간이 경과함에 따라 노후화현상이 일어난다. 이에 갱생수단으로 보수 보강이 이루어지고 있다. 현재 보강재료로써 FRP가 높은 관심과 더불어 많은 활용을 하고 이에 대한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 전단보강근이 없는 철근콘크리트보에 매립형 탄소섬유막대(CFRP)를 전단보강하여 그에 따른 효과를 파악하기 위해 시험체를 제작하여 실험을 수행하였다. 전단보강근이 없는 철근콘크리트보에 매립형 탄소섬유막대(CFRP)를 전단보강하여 탄소섬유막대(CFRP)의 순수전단내력을 파악하고, 전단보강에 따른 시험체의 전단파괴거동을 파악하고자 한다. 또한 실험변수를 탄소섬유막대(CFRP)의 보강량과 보강간격으로 두어, 이에 따른 전단보강효과를 파악하고자 한다.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate experimentally the shear resisting behavior of the reinforced concrete beams strengthened with reinforcement materials(CFRP). Ten specimens were manufactured and tested under static monotonic loading. The main variables in the test were a space of steel reinforcement and direction of CFRP reinforcement. 흡수에 따른 탄소섬유 강화수지의 파괴거동 (Fracture Behavior for Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic by Immersion)

  • Recently carbon fiber reinforced plastic(CFRP) has been used structural materials in corrosive environment such as for water, chemical tank and chemical pipes. However, mechanical properties of such materials may change when CFRP are exposed to corrosive environment for long periods of time. Therefore, it is important to understand the effect of moisture absorption on mechanical properties of the CFRP. In this study, degradation behavior of immersed carbon fiber/epoxy resin composite material was investigated using acoustic emission(AE) technique. Fracture toughness test are performed on the compact tension(CT) test specimens that are pilled by two types of laminates $[0^{\circ}_2$/$90^{\circ}_2]_3s$ and $[0^{\circ}_2$/$90^{\circ}_2]_6s$During the fracture toughness test, AE test was carried out to monitor the damage of CFRP by moisture absorption. In spite of the change of moisture absorption rate, the fracture toughness of CFRP was not change. As immersion time increased, AE event count numbers decreased in low amplitude range of AE for amplitude distribution histogram. The event in low amplitude range was known to be generated by debonding of matrix-fiber interface. Therefore, decrease of AE event count numbers in low amplitude range represents that debonding of matrix-fiber interface which was probably generated by moisture absorption.

  • Carbon fiber-reinforced plastics (CFRPs) are extremely strong and light fiber-reinforced plastics containing carbon fibers. CFRPs can be expensive to produce, but are commonly used wherever high strength-to-weight ratio and rigidity are required, such as in the aerospace, automotive, and ship superstructure industries. In CFRP drilling, the tool performance greatly varies depending on the tool shapes, cutting conditions, and diamond coating. This study developed a new type of tungsten carbide drill with multi-blade edges to evaluate the surface quality of CFRP materials according to the coating thickness of diamond-coated drills. Experiments on tool wear, surface roughness, and burr formation were conducted. The bore exit quality of a 12 mμ -coated drill was better than that of a 6 mμ -coated drill. The superior effects of the 12 mμ -coated drill and the good surface quality of CFRP were also demonstrated.

  • 최근 노후화된 철근콘크리트 구조물에 대한 FRP를 이용한 보강공법의 적용이 증가하고 있다. 하지만 휨 보강에 대해서는 연구로 인해 정량적인 평가로 인해 효율적인 설계가 가능하지만, 전단보강의 경우에는 파괴메카니즘을 완전히 규명하지 못하는 상태이다. 본 연구에서는 전단보강근이 있는 철근콘크리트보에 매립형 CFRP를 전단보강하여 보강효과를 파악하고자 실험을 수행한 후, 실험결과를 토대로 분석 및 고찰을 통해 정량적인 보강효과를 도출하고자 한다. 시험체 제작시 실험변수로는 전단보강근의 간격과 보강방향으로 하여 시험체를 10개 제작하여 실험을 수행하였다. 실험결과, 전단보강근 간격과 보강방향에 따라 CFRP의 보강효과는 다소 차이를 보였다.

다관절 복합이동 해저로봇을 위한 탄소섬유 복합소재 프레임의 구조 해석 (Finite Element Analysis of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic Frame for Multi-legged Subsea Robot)

  • This paper describes a finite element analysis (FEA) of the body frame of a subsea robot, Crabster200 (CR200). CR200 has six legs for mobility instead of screw type propellers, which distinguishes it from previous underwater robots such as remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs). Another distinguishing characteristic is the body frame, which is made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP). This body frame is designed as a rib cage structure in order to disperse the applied external loads and reduce the weight. The frame should be strong enough to support many devices for exploration and operation underwater. For a reasonable FEA, we carried out specimen tests. Using the obtained material properties, we performed a modal analysis and FEA for CR200 with a ready posture. Finally, this paper presents the FEA results for the CFRP body frame and the compares the characteristics of CFRP with conventional material, aluminum.

DIC에 의한 복합재료 변형측정 (An Estimation of Deformation for Composites by DIC)

  • The estimation of deformation and strain for the twill-weave carbon fiber reinforced plastic composite(CFRP) during the test with a digital image correlation system were implemented experimentally. The carbon fiber reinforced plastic composites have been developed as the edge technology materials. The plain, twill and satin weave types are commonly used for the CFRP composites. Thus, it is essential to find the deformation characteristics for those types of CFRP more easily. Especially the DIC method can express the visual strain distributions at the full range of the interested areas in the structures. In this study, the mechanical properties of twill-weave CFRP composite and the variation of strains in a full field of the specimen were estimated. The experiments were performed under a tensile loading and 3-point bending test with strain gages. Futhermore the DIC deformation results were estimated for the comparison. The results showed the deformation and strain contours visually well in all region of the interested areas and so usefulness for the safety control of the structures.

  • Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic(CFRP) 복합재료는 높은 비강성 및 우수한 화학적 특성 등으로 인하여 여러분야에서 점점 사용이 증가하고 있다. 대부분의 CFRP 복합재료는 여러 부품들의 조립을 통해 제작된다. 이러한 독립된 부품들은 볼트, 핀 등과 같은 기계적인 방법을 통해 체결된다. 볼트나 핀에 의한 hole은 구조내에서 노치로 작용하여 부품의 강도저하의 원인이 된다. 본 논문에서는 홀의 크기와 시험편 폭이 노치재의 파괴강도에 끼치는 영향을 평가하여 hole을 포함하고 있는 평직 CFRP 복합재료의 정하중 파괴 강도를 실험적으로 평가하였다. 이를 위하여 본 논문에서는 홀 크기와 시험편 폭에 따른 점응력 조건의 특성길이를 평가하였으며, 특성길이와 노치재의 파괴강도의 관계를 확인하였다. 이를 이용하여 노치재의 정하중 파괴기준을 재정의하였다.
