Voice Activity Detection Method Using Psycho-Acoustic Model Based on Speech Energy Maximization in Noisy Environments (잡음 환경에서 심리음향모델 기반 음성 에너지 최대화를 이용한 음성 검출 방법)

  • This paper introduces the method for detect voices and exact end point at low SNR by maximizing voice energy. Conventional VAD (Voice Activity Detection) algorithm estimates noise level so it tends to detect the end point inaccurately. Moreover, because it uses relatively long analysis range for reflecting temporal change of noise, computing load too high for application. In this paper, the SEM-VAD (Speech Energy Maximization-Voice Activity Detection) method which uses psycho-acoustical bark scale filter banks to maximize voice energy within frames is introduced. Stable threshold values are obtained at various noise environments (SNR 15 dB, 10 dB, 5 dB, 0 dB). At the test for voice detection in car noisy environment, PHR (Pause Hit Rate) was 100%accurate at every noise environment, and FAR (False Alarm Rate) shows 0% at SNR15 dB and 10 dB, 5.6% at SNR5 dB and 9.5% at SNR0 dB.

  • In this study, embodied supervisory system that apply motion detection technique to small web camera and detects watch picture. Motion detection technique that use pixel value of car image that use in existing need memory to store background image. Also, there is sensitive shortcoming at increase of execution time by data process of pixel unit and noise. Suggested technique that compare extracting motion information by block unit to do to have complexion that solve this shortcoming and is strong at noise. Because motion information by block compares block characteristic value of image without need frame memory, store characteristic cost by block of image. Also, can get effect that reduce influence about noise and is less sensitive to flicker etc.. of camera more than motion detection that use pixel value in process that find characteristic value by block unit.

Speech Enhancement Based on Improved Minima Controlled Recursive Averaging Incorporating GSAP (전역 음성 부재 확률 기반의 향상된 최소값 제어 재귀평균기법을 이용한 음성 향상 기법)

  • In this paper, we propose a novel method to improve the performance of the improved minima controlled recursive averaging (IMCRA). From an examination for various noise environment, it is shown that the IMCRA has a fundamental drawback for the noise power estimate at the offset region of continuity speech signals. Espectially, it is difficult to obtain the robust estimates of the noise power in non-stationary noisy environments that is rapidly changed the spectral characteristics such as babble noise. To overcome the drawback, we apply the global speech absence probability (GSAP) conditioned on both a priori SNR and a posteriori SNR to the speech detection algorithm of IMCRA. With the performance criteria of the ITU-T P.862 perceptual evaluation of speech quality (PESQ) and a composite measure test, we show that the proposed algorithm yields better results compared to the conventional IMCRA-based scheme under various noise environments. In particular, in the case of babble 5 dB, the proposed method produced a remarkable improvement compared to the IMCRA ( PESQ = 0.026, composite measure = 0.029 ).

  • Accurate voice activity detection have a great impact on performance of speech applications including speech recognition, speech coding, and speech communication. In this paper, we propose methods for voice activity detection that can adapt to various car noise situations during driving. Existing voice activity detection used various method such as time energy, frequency energy, zero crossing rate, and spectral entropy that have a weak point of rapid. decline performance in noisy environments. In this paper, the approach is based on existing spectral entropy for VAD that we propose voice activity detection method using MFB(Met-frequency filter banks) spectral entropy, gradient FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) spectral entropy. and gradient MFB spectral entropy. FFT multiplied by Mel-scale is MFB and Mel-scale is non linear scale when human sound perception reflects characteristic of speech. Proposed MFB spectral entropy method clearly improve the ability to discriminate between speech and non-speech for various in noisy car environments that achieves 93.21% accuracy as a result of experiments. Compared to the spectral entropy method, the proposed voice activity detection gives an average improvement in the correct detection rate of more than 3.2%.

  • 최근 이동전화의 사용이 급격히 확산됨에 따라 핸즈프리 단말기를 이용한 전화통신의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 차량내 핸즈프리 통신상황의 경우 근거리에 위치한 스피커와 마이크로폰의 커플링에 의해 발생하는 음향반향과 차량내에 존재하는 배경잡음은 통화 품질을 크게 저하시킨다. 본 논문에서는 이동통신에 적합한 음향반향제거기와 잡음제거기의 결합시스템을 제안하고, 이를 고정 소수점 DSP를 이용하여 실시간 구현하였다. 실시간 구현을 위하여 음향반향제거기에는 NLMS 알고리즘에 의해 구동되는 제한된 차수의 적응반향제거기법을 사용하였다. 잔여반향 및 배경잡음제거를 위해 CDMA방식의 셀룰라 이동통신에 사용되는IS-127 EVRC음성 부호화기의 표준안에 포함된 잡음제거방식을 사용하였다. 제안된 시스템을 16 비트 고정소수점DSP인 OAK DSP Core를 이용하여 약 18.6MIPS의 연산량으로 실시간 구현되었다.

  • 실제의 음성 인식 및 음성 통신 등의 음성 처리 시스템에서는 음성 신호를 손상시키는 배경 잡음 신호의 존재로 그 성능이 많이 저하된다. 특히 차량 내와 같은 잡음이 극심한 상황에서는 전처리 부분에서 이러한 잡음을 제거시켜 주어야한다. 본 연구는 자동차 내의 배경 잡음에 의해 손상된 음성에서 배경 잡음을 주파수 차감에 의하여 제거시킨다. 특히 음성 정보의 손실이 적은 잡음 추정 방법으로 가중치를 이용하여 잡음을 추정하는 가중치 주파수 차감법을 이용하였다. 이러한 가중치 주파수 차감법 사용의 전제 조건은 잡음의 변화가 완만한 경우에 적당하다. 그러나 실제적인 상황에서 배경잡음신호의 변화가 큰 경우가 존재한다. 이러한 이유에서 본 연구는 잡은 추정시 잡음 추정값을 이용하여 추정 잡음 경계값을 적응적으로 변화하는 차감법을 제안한다. 이러한 방법은 추정된 잡음 신호의 변화율을 이용하여 경계값을 상황에 따라 적응적으로 변화시키는 방법이다. 모의 실험에 의하여 고정적인 경계값을 갖는 가중치 주파수 차감법에 비해 제안한 적응적 경계값을 갖는 가중치 주파수 차감법의 출력 SNR이 증가함을 확인하였고, 음성 인식 시스템에 정용한 인식 실험에서도 성능이 향상됨을 확인하였다.

  • 본 연구는 자동차내 배경 잡음에 의해 손상된 음성에서 배경 잡음을 주파수 차감에 의하여 제거시킨다. 특히 음성정보의 손실이 적은 잡음 추정 방법으로 가중치를 이용하여 잡음을 가중치 주파수 차감법을 이용하였다. 이러한 가중치 주파수 차감법은 잡음의 변화가 완만한 경우에 적당하다. 그러나 실제적인 상황에서 배경잡음신호의 변화가 큰 경우가 존재 한다. 이러한 이유는 본 연구는 잡음 추정시 잡음 추정값을 이용하여 추정 잡음 경계값을 적응적으로 변화시키는 차감법을 제안한다. 이 방법은 추정된 잡음 신호의 변화율을 이용하 여 경계값을 상황에 따라 적응적으로 변화시키는 방법이다. 모의 실험에 의하여 고정적인 경계값을 갖는 가중치 주파수 차감법에 비해 제안한 적응적 경계값을 갖는 가중치 주파수 차감법의 출력 SNR이 증가함을 확인하였고, 음성 인식 시스템에 적용한 인식 실험에서도 성능이 향상됨을 확인하였다.

A Study on the Perforating Process of the Muffer Tube using FEM

  • Recently there has been a growing interest in the design and manufacturing of the muffler tube due to the strict environment regulations, A muffler is an important part used to reduce noise and to purify exhaust gas in cars and heavy equipment. The shape of the muffler tube and the number of the tube hole has been made variously according to the weight and function of the car. The perforating technique of the muffler tube has a great influence on the manufacturing cost. In this study, metal forming analysis has been carried out to investigate the perforating process for the muffler tube and predict an optimal forming conditions of the muffler tube, Also its simulation results by the finite element method were reflected to the die design and the manufacturing system for the muffler tube. The perforating process is performed in the longitudinal direction of the tube. According to the simulation results, when the shear angle of punch was similar to the tube curvature, the optimal shape was obtained. Also when the clearance of die was 0.2mm, the burr was minimized and optimal shear section was obtained.
