RC 골조에 보강된 강재프레임과 강재댐퍼의 성능 평가 (Performance Evaluation of Steel Frame and Steel Damper Reinforced in RC frame)

  • In this study, the performance evaluation of the RC frame specimen (RV2) which was strengthened by a steel frame and a steel damper with the lateral deformation prevention details proceeded. The comparison objects are bare frame specimen (BF), RV2 and AWD, where AWD is a specimen reinforced with steel damper and aramid fiber sheets. In the evaluation of envelope curve, stiffness degradation, and energy dissipation capacity, RV2 was evaluated to have excellent capacity as a whole. To evaluate the strengthening effect of the steel frame based on the maximum strength and energy dissipation capacity, it was evaluated to have a 38% of the RV2's capacity.

역량스펙트럼법에 의한 교량 구조물의 내진성능평가 (Seismic Capacity Evaluation of Bridge Structure using Capacity Spectrum Method)

  • 현 도로교의 내진해석은 구조물이 하중 이상의 강도를 갖도록 하는 하중기반해석법에 근거하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 하중기반해석의 대안책으로 구조물의 성능평가 대상을 변위로 하는 변위기반해석의 일종인 역량스펙트럼법을 제시하였다. 하중기반해석에서 내진설계가 수행되어진 기존 철근콘크리트 교각에 대하여 역량스펙트럼법에 의한 내진성능을 평가하였다. 그 결과, 역량스펙트럼법은 간편하고 신속하게 구조물의 비탄성 응답을 현실적으로 평가할 수 있었으며 비탄성 응답을 일으키는 다양한 지반운동 수준에 대해 구조물에 발생하는 변위를 평가할 수 있었고, 기존 구조물의 내진성능에 대한 평가나 신설구조물의 성능목표에 대한 설계검증에 효율적으로 적용 가능하였다.

  • Line capacity calculation has been used to determine optimum efficiency and safe train service for train scheduling plan and investment priority order throughout detecting bottleneck section. Because of some problems of Yamagisi and UIC methods for line capacity calculation, developing of the method of line capacity calculation and evaluation for the Korea circumstance is important. This paper deals with the integrated system of TPS(Train Performance Simulator), PES(Parameter Evaluation Simulator), LCS (Line Capacity Simulator) and sensitivity analysis for line capacity calculation model.

교량의 내진성능 평가를 위한 역량스펙트럼 적용 연구 (A study on the Capacity Spectrum for Seismic Performance Evaluation of Bridge)

  • In this study, We examine closely the capacity spectrum method which a kind of displacement-based method evaluated by displacement of structure as an alternative to the load-based analysis method. The displacement-based method can easily review the strength of structure, seismic performance, ductility. Seismic performance by using capacity spectrum method is divided into design response spectrum and capacity spectrum. We can diagram design response spectrum by deciding the design seismic factor depending on performance target, site classification, seismic level, return period as UBC-97. Capacity spectrum is a load-displacement curve obtained by Push-over analysis considering the geometric parameter and the material parameter. We execute the seismic performance evaluation by using the capacity spectrum method to reinforced concrete pier which has been seismic design. As a result, We confirmed that there is a yield point and a ultimate point close by design response spectrum of UBC-97.

  • 철근콘크리트 학교건물(Part 2의 대상건물)을 대상으로 일본내진진단법(2차 및 3차) 및 비선형 정적 및 동적해석을 실시하여 상세하게 대상건물의 내진성능을 평가한 결과와 본 연구에서 제안한 내진성능평가표를 이용하여 평가한 내진성능(Part-2)을 각각 비교 검토하여 본 연구의 간이 내진성능 평가법의 타당성을 검증하였다.

Real-time Impact Evaluation of a Capacity-Building Health Project in Lao PDR

  • This study presents a real-time impact evaluation of a human capacity-building health project in Laos, financed by a Korean aid agency and executed jointly by Laotian and Korean higher educational agencies. The project aims to improve the health status of Laotians by enhancing practicing doctors' clinical performance capacity, to be attained by advancing academic achievement at the University of Health Sciences (UHS) in Laos. Therefore, this real-time impact evaluation adopted the difference-in-differences regression analysis method, showing that the project improved the academic achievement of the UHS students who were taught by the project fellowship awardees more, compared to the UHS students who were taught by non-fellowship faculty members. It remains to be evaluated whether these UHS students taught by the project fellowship recipients would also perform better clinically in public hospitals in the future.

  • Railroad line capacity is influenced by Quantitative and Qualitative factors which is applied by parameter to calculate it. But these parameters have been used experiential value without analyzing its reasonability or appropriate level. In this paper, we introduce the concept of robustness to Quantify parameter and evaluate robustness of it. For this purpose, we develop parameter evaluation simulator and present it. If this simulator is utilized, we can find the parameter having appropriate robustness and it will be applied to calculate more reasonable and systematic railroad line capacity.

  • This paper is the sequel of a companion paper (I. Performance Evaluation) evaluating the relation between the seismic performance of steel intermediate moment frames (IMFs) and the rotation capacity of connections. The evaluation revealed that the seismic performance of IMFs having the required minimum rotation capacity suggested in the current standards did not meet the seismic performance criteria presented in FEMA 695. Therefore, thepresent study evaluates the causes of the vulnerable seismic performance for steel IMFs and proposes alternatives to satisfy the seismic performance suggested in FEMA 695. To that goal, the results of nonlinear analysis, which are the pushover analysis and the incremental dynamic analysis, are examined and evaluated. As a result, high-rise IMF systems are seen to have the lower collapse margin ratio after connection fracture than row-rise IMF systems and, the actual response isfound to compared tothedesign drift ratio acting on design load design. Finally, the minimum design load values are proposed to meet the seismic performance suggested in FEMA 695 for IMF systems having vulnerable seismic performance.

  • The seismic capacity of columns usually has been tested in uniaxial loading condition. The seismic performance used to be evaluated under the same assumption. Since the real earthquake motion is multi-directional, the effects of multi-directional excitation on the seismic capacity of structures need to be carefully examined. In this paper, a frequency dependent alternate biaxial cyclic loading test is proposed as an evaluation method of seismic capacity under multi-directional excitation. Four test specimens were made and tested to study the degradation of strength, stiffness and ductility under biaxial loading condition. A multi- directional excitation. The capacity is obtained using frequency dependent alternate biaxial cyclic loading test. The orthogonal effect is taken into account by increasing the demand.
