Experimental consideration for contact angle and force acting on bubble under nucleate pool boiling

  • Pool boiling experiments are performed within an isolated bubble regime at inclination angles of 0° and 45°. When a bubble grows and departs from the heating surface, the pressure, buoyancy, and surface tension force play important roles. The curvature and base diameter are required to calculate the pressure force, the bubble volume is required to calculate the buoyancy force, and the contact angle and base diameter are required to calculate the surface tension force. The contact angle, base diameter, and volume of the bubbles are evaluated using images captured via a high-speed camera. The surface tension force equation proposed by Fritz is modified with the contact angles obtained in this study. When the bubble grows, the contact angle decreases slowly. However, when the bubble departs, the contact angle rapidly increases owing to necking. At an inclination angle of 0°, the contact angle is calculated as 82.88° at departure. Additionally, the advancing and receding contact angles are calculated as 70.25° and 82.28° at departure, respectively, at an inclination angle of 45°. The dynamic behaviors of bubble growth and departure are discussed with forces by pressure, buoyancy, and surface tension.

방사선 간접검사를 이용한 청소년의 척추 측만증에 관한 연구 (A Survey Study of the Juvenile Idiopathic Scoliosis Using Radiation Indirect Examination)

  • 본 연구는 초등학생, 중학생, 고등학생 및 대학생 등 청소년 2,787명을 대상으로 100 mm Mirror Camera을 이용하여 Cobb's Angle이 $10^{\circ}$이상인 특발성 척추 측만증 이상자의 유병율을 성별과 연령별로 분석하였다. 연구 결과 Cobb's Angle이 $10^{\circ}$이상으로 특발성 척추 측만증인 자는 전체 2.787명 중 257명(9.2%)이었으며, 13세 이하(초등학생)가 132명, 16세 이하(중학생)가 52명, 18세 이하(고등학생)가 35명, 19세 이상(대학생)이 38명이었고, 연령 따른 1차 검사에서의 $x^2-test$ 분석결과 유의성이 없는 것으로 나타났으며, Cobb's Angle이 $10^{\circ}$이상인 대상자들의 측만발생 부위는 흉-요추부 147명(57.2%), 흉추부 81명(31.5%), 경-흉추부위 20명(7.8%), 요추부위 7명(2.7%), 경추부위 2명(0.8%)으로 흉-요추부위에서 가장 많은 빈도를 보였으며, 측만방향으로는 우측 183명(71.2%)으로 좌측 74명(28.8%)보다 높게 나타났다. 척추 측만증이 $10^{\circ}$이상인 대상자 중에서 주요 호소 부위는 느끼지 못함이 219명이었으며, 요추부위 18명, 경추부위 9명, 흉추부위 7명, 견부부위 2명, 골반부위와 온몸이 다 아프다고 한 대상자는 각각 1명으로 총 257명이었고, 척추 측만증이 있는 자와 대상자의 주요 호소증상간의 분산분석의 결과는 유의성이 있는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 전차선은 철도 전기차량에 전기를 안정적으로 공급하기 위한 시설물로서, 차량이나 외부요인에 의한 전차선의 변형 및 파손을 검지하여 전기철도 시설물 규정에 따라 최적의 상태로 유지해야 할 필요성이 있다. 본 논문에서는 전차선 마킹을 위한 라인레이저와 고속카메라 간에 기하학적 구성을 이용하여 3차선 거리측정방식으로 전차선 높이와 편위를 측정하기 위한 시스템 개발에 관하여 기술하였다. 전차선 거리 측정방법은 이미지 상에 마킹된 전차선 프로파일의 픽셀위치를 삼각함수 기법을 적용하여 카메라와의 전차선간에 각도를 계산하였으며, 카메라는 랜즈 왜곡 및 심도, 원금감 등에 따라 측정대상에 대한 픽셀 해상도가 다르므로 전차선 위치변화에 따른 픽셀당 각도 분해능을 적용하였다. 또한 전차선은 조가선과 급전선등과 같은 다른 전기배선보다 가장 아래에 설비되어 있는 특징을 이용하여 FPGA 상에서 전차선에 마킹된 레이저 프로파일 데이터를 고속으로 추출하여 처리하였다. 개발시스템은 전차선 시설물 평가기준에 따라 전차선 높이, 편위 측정데이터를 실시간 분석하여 이상구간에 대한 실시간 자동화 진단기능을 수행토록 하였다.

  • 인간 양안의 자연스러운 작용들과 뇌의 영상과정을 토대로 단일 CCD와 두개의 줌렌즈로 구성한 교차식 입체 동영상 카메라를 설계하고 제작하였다. 50도의 넓은 시야각과 0도에서 16도까지 변하는 주시각을 갖는 이 카메라는 두 줌렌즈를 인간의 양안거리와 같은 65mm 간격을 두고 배열하여 인간과 같은 양안시차를 갖도록 설계하고 제작하였다. 그리고 입체 동영상을 촬영할 수 있도록 하기 위하여 좌우 영상을 차례로 보내주는 셔터 블레이드와 이 셔터 블레이드를 통하여 들어온 좌우 영상을 하나의 CCD로 보내는 X-cube 영상결합기 및 1초당 60 frame의 촬영이 가능한 하나의 CCD를 사용하였다.

  • In this paper, we present an approach for matching images from finding interesting points and applying new image interpolation algorithm. New algorithms are developed that automatically align the input images match them and reconstruct 3-D surfaces. The interpolation algorithm is designed to cope with simple shapes. The proposed image interpolation algorithm generate a rotation image about vertical axes by an any angle from 4 base images. Each base image that was obtained from CCD camera has an angle difference of 90$^{\circ}$ The proposed image interpolation algorithm use the geometric analysis of image and depth information.

These categories are often considered within the subject of the maximum deviation from the camera eye, an issue which has generated much controversy. Other characteristics such as depth of field, three-dimensional vision, white balance and color, are not considered in this article.

  • This paper deals with the algorithm development that inspects defects such as Lens Focus, Focus check, Black Defect, Dark Defect, Dim Defect, Color Defect, and Line Defect, Angle Defect, IrisAgc Defect caused by the process of 2M Class Compact Camera Module (CCM). Domestic market was majorly comprised of VGA(0.3 million pixel) market. But in the middle of year 2004, camera phone with Mega Pixel has appeared, and it is estimated that the camera phone with Mega Pixel will take up to 28% of total phone sales if it is released in the end of year 2004. Since the inspection of finished products is done manually, it is major obstacle in production increment In this paper, to solve these problems, we developed the imaging processing algorithm to inspect the defects in captured image of assembled CCM. The performances of the developed inspection system and we can recognize various types of defect of CCM modules with good accuracy and high speed

  • A fast and precise technique to measure 3-dimensional coordinates of an object is proposed. It is essential to take the 3-dimensional measurements of the object in design and inspection. Using this developed system a surface model of a complex shape can be constructed. 3-dimensional world coordinates are projected onto a camera plane by the perspective transformation, which plays an important role in this measurement system. According to the shape of the object two measuring methods are proposed. One is rotation of an object and the other is translation of measuring unit. Measuring speed depending on image processing time is obtained as 200 points per second. Measurement resolution i sexperimented by two parameters among others; the angle between the laser beam plane and the camera, and the distance between the camera and the object. As a result of these experiments, it was found that measurement resolution ranges from 0.3mm to 1.0mm. This constructed surface model could be used in manufacturing tools such as rapid prototyping machine.

  • When a construction company builds a high structure. many piles should be driven into the ground by a hammer whose weight is 7,000 kg in order to make the ground under the structure safe and strong. So. it is essential to determine whether a pile is penetrated into the ground enough to support the weight of the structure since ground characteristics at different locations are different each other. This paper proposes a visual measurement system for pile rebound and penetration movement including vibration using a high-speed line-scan camera and a specially designed mark to recognize two-dimensional motion parameters of the mark using only a line-scan camera. A mark stacking white and black right-angled triangles is used for the measurement, and movement information for vertical distance, horizontal distance and rotational angle is determined simultaneously. Especially- by adopting a line-scan CCD camera whose line rate is 20 ㎑. the measurement performance of dynamic characteristics of the pile at impact instant is improved dramatically.

Trinocular Vision System을 이용한 물체 자세정보 인식 향상방안 (A Study on the Improvement of Pose Information of Objects by Using Trinocular Vision System)

  • Recently, robotic bin-picking tasks have drawn considerable attention, because flexibility is required in robotic assembly tasks. Generally, stereo camera systems have been used widely for robotic bin-picking, but these have two limitations: First, computational burden for solving correspondence problem on stereo images increases calculation time. Second, errors in image processing and camera calibration reduce accuracy. Moreover, the errors in robot kinematic parameters directly affect robot gripping. In this paper, we propose a method of correcting the bin-picking error by using trinocular vision system which consists of two stereo cameras andone hand-eye camera. First, the two stereo cameras, with wide viewing angle, measure object's pose roughly. Then, the 3rd hand-eye camera approaches the object, and corrects the previous measurement of the stereo camera system. Experimental results show usefulness of the proposed method.
