반도체 및 LCD 제조 공정의 AGV Controller 개발 (Development of an AGV Controller in Semiconductor and LCD Production Systems)

  • In this paper, LAC(Look-ahead AGV Controller) has been developed for efficient routing of parts in semiconductor and LCD production systems. Several procedures have been developed as sub-modules. LACP(Look-ahead AGV Control Procedure) which controls AGVs using the information on the current and future status of the systems is the main element of the LAC. To support LACP, DSP(Destination Selection Procedure) which determines a destination of a part and AGV call time, SSP(Source Selection Procedure)which selects a part coming next to a buffer when the buffer becomes available. and RTM(Response Time Model) which estimates empty travel time of AGVs and waiting time for an available AGV have been developed. A simulation experiment shows that LAC reduces part's flow time, AGV utilization, average and maximum inventory level of a central buffer, empty travel time of an AGV, and waiting time for an available AGV.

Safety Confirmation of Ship's Crew Using Cell-phone with GPS Receiver and Wireless LAN.

  • Ships and their cargos have been managed safely by positioning report system. However, little attention has been paid to safety of crew's works with danger. The attempt that used PHS inboard was before by the present authors. However, the functions were just voice call and mail exchange. The data acquisition from the terminal by proper control was not possible. Thus the position of the terminal was not available. As for the cell phone of next generation, GPS receiver and wireless LAN are installed by manufacturers. Therefore, we propose a system which uses a cell-phone with GPS receiver on a ship in order to promote the safety of ship's crew. We checked the availability of cell-phone GPS receiver at thirty different points inboard. The positioning was not possible in the areas further than 4m from the window. Then, we proposed the system which follows the positions of the crews and confirms their safety inboard by using the VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) function by wireless LAN.

  • 현재 차량 내부의 기술은 최근의 환경, 에너지, 안전성 및 편리성 차원의 요구가 증대되면서 종래의 자동차 기술에 대한 변화를 가져오고 있으며 자동차산업의 패러다임을 급속히 변화시켜 나가고 있다. 이러한 기술적인 변화는 전자제어장치의 지능화는 물론 각 시스템간의 센서 네트워크를 구성하여 ITS, 텔레매틱스 등 차량 외부의 인프라 구축 시스템과 결합하여 새로운 교통시스템을 형성하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이런 새로운 시스템 중에 핵심 기술이라고 할 수 있는 Most 차량용 네트워크와 여러 가지의 센서들을 활용한 차랑 관리 시스템 설계에 대한 기술들을 제시한다. 여러 센서에서 발생되는 정보들을 Most 네트워크를 통하여 취합하고 차량의 각 시스템의 현재 상황을 판단하고 이 정보를 운전자에게 제공함으로써 효과적인 부품 교체 시기나 차량의 안정성을 극대화시킬 수 있는 시스템을 제안한다.

강인한 자력복구 채널등화 알고리즘 및 8-VSB 수신시스템에의 응용 (Robust Blind Equalization Algorithms and Its Application to 8-VSB Receiver)

  • We propose two new classes of robust blind equalization algorithms against abrupt changes of channel conditions, which we call a triple-mode algorithm(TMA) and an automatic switch-over algorithm(ASA). The conventional DMGSA exhibits slow convergence rates due to the incorrect equalizer tap-updating process under the severe channel conditions. In order to speed up the convergence process, the TMA operates in triple-mode that is based on the dual-mode of the DMGSA incorporated with the tap-updating control modes of the SGA as well as the MSGA. Without resorting to the decision region for selecting the operation mode in the TMA, the ASA automatically switches the blind mode to the smoother conventional decision-directed mode. The ASA uses the error functional that is the weighted sum of the Generalized Sato error and the decision-directed error, where the weights correspond to the channel conditions. Test results on 16-QAM and 8-VSB datas confirm that the TMA and the ASA perform well under the sudden changes of channel conditions.

Trade Routes, Trading Centers and the Emergence of the Domestic Market in Azerbaijan in the Period of Arab-Khazar Domination on the Silk Road

  • Bloody wars between Arab Muslims and Khazar Turks in the Caucasus continued for a more than a hundred years from the mid $7^{th}$ century to the end of the $8^{th}$ century CE. The Khazar state survived but had to withdraw from Caucasian Albania, the present territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan. However, the Khazars managed to expand their political control over the trade routes north-east and north-west of the Caucasian ridge. A trade partnership was established between former rival powers in the region that allows us to call the period after the end of the Arab-Khazar wars up to the time of the collapse of the Khazar state in the middle of the 10th century an era of Arab-Khazar partnership and domination of the Silk Road. This article highlights the impact made by geopolitical shifts in the regions of the time upon international trade tracks and particularly on the development of trade facilities, infrastructure, and local production in Azerbaijan, which became a major transit country of goods from the north to markets in the Muslim Near East.

2.5D human pose estimation for shadow puppet animation

  • Digital shadow puppet has traditionally relied on expensive motion capture equipments and complex design. In this paper, a low-cost driven technique is presented, that captures human pose estimation data with simple camera from real scenarios, and use them to drive virtual Chinese shadow play in a 2.5D scene. We propose a special method for extracting human pose data for driving virtual Chinese shadow play, which is called 2.5D human pose estimation. Firstly, we use the 3D human pose estimation method to obtain the initial data. In the process of the following transformation, we treat the depth feature as an implicit feature, and map body joints to the range of constraints. We call the obtain pose data as 2.5D pose data. However, the 2.5D pose data can not better control the shadow puppet directly, due to the difference in motion pattern and composition structure between real pose and shadow puppet. To this end, the 2.5D pose data transformation is carried out in the implicit pose mapping space based on self-network and the final 2.5D pose expression data is produced for animating shadow puppets. Experimental results have demonstrated the effectiveness of our new method.

RISC-V 프로세서의 모의실행 및 합성 (Simulation and Synthesis of RISC-V Processor)

  • RISC-V는 프로세서의 혁신을 위하여 개방형 표준 협력을 통하여 개발된 무료이며 개방된 명령어집합 아키텍처 프로세서이다. 산업체와 학계의 협동으로 태동한 RISC-V는 프로세서 구조에 새로운 수준의 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어의 자유를 가져다주면서 확장 가능하기 때문에, 향후 50 년의 컴퓨터 설계와 혁신에 견인차 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다. 본 논문에서는 RISC-V가 개발되고 도입됨에 따라, 산술논리, 메모리, 분기, 제어 및 상태레지스터, 환경호출 및 중단점으로 구성된 명령어 아키텍처를 고찰하고 특징을 살펴보았다. 또한 Verilog를 이용하여 설계된 RISC-V 프로세서를 ModelSim으로 모의실행하고 Quartus-II로 합성한 결과, RISC-V의 38 개 명령어를 성공적으로 수행할 수 있었다.

RTiK과 DPC 제어를 통한 윈도우즈 기반의 검사장비에서 MIL-STD-1553B 통신의 실시간 구현 (Implementation for Real-Time of MIL-STD-1553B Communication in Inspection Equipment Based on Windows with RTiK and DPC Control)

  • It is very important to support real-time on the inspection equipment based on Windows. In particular, in the system using MIL-STD-1553B communication, which is widely used in military weapon systems, real-time is required for inspection equipment that uses mostly platforms based on Windows such as Industrial PCs. However, in order to use a complete real-time operating system such as VxWorks, the purchase cost is expensive and the implementation is complicated on the system, so it is not suitable for inspection equipment that requires simple functions to just check go or no-go. Therefore, in this paper, a Real-Time implanted Kernel(RTiK) in the Windows kernel is implanted in order to improve these defects, and real-time performance is implemented for periodically MIL-STD-1553B communication by Deferred Procedure Call(DPC) of Windows. Also, it was verified that the period of up to 2ms was guaranteed with a RDTSC into the EDX:EAX registers for measuring the periodicity.

인공지능 기반의 자동차사고 감지 시스템 적용 사례 분석 (A Review of AI-based Automobile Accident Prevention Systems)

  • Artificial intelligence (AI) has been applied to most industries by enhancing automation and contributing greatly to efficient processes and high-quality production. This research analyzes the applications of AI-based automobile accident prevention systems. It deals with AI-based collision prevention systems that learn information from various sensors attached to cars and AI-based accident detection systems that automatically report accidents to the control center in the event of a collision. Based on the literature review, technological and institutional changes are taking place at the national levels, which recognize the effectiveness of the systems. In addition, start-ups at home and abroad as well as major car manufacturers are in the process of commercializing auto parts equipped with AI-based collision prevention technology.

Uncertainty Avoidance, Individualism and the Readiness of Business-to-Consumer E-commerce

  • This study aims to test whether and to what extend national culture affects the readiness of business-to-consumer (B2C) e-commerce across the world. We regress two sets of data at national level: (1) the ratings of two main dimensions of Hofstede's national culture framework, uncertainty avoidance and individualism, and (2) UTCTAD B2C e-commerce index value. A sample of 83 countries was tested in this study. Several control variables at national level are included in our regression model. We find that these two cultural dimensions have an effect on the readiness of B2C e-commerce in various ways. We find that countries with high individualism score have high index value of B2C e-commerce development. We discuss the implications of these findings for B2C e-commerce developing strategies. We then call for designing relative policies with full consideration on national culture to promote the development of B2C e-commerce. In addition, we identify the limitations of the study and propose recommendations for future research. This study is the first one to use UNCTAD data on B2C e-commerce to explore the relationships between two dimensions of Hofstede's national culture and the readiness of B2C e-commerce and adds to the knowledge of literature in this research field.
