  • In this paper, the torque characteristics and the bar loss distribution are analyzed when a general cage induction motor with skewed slots is fed by a 6-step inverter. For the electromagnetic analysis, time-stepping finite element method is used. And the multi-slice technique and sliding surface technique are respectively utilized to consider the skew effect and the rotation of the rotor. As a result, the effects of skewed rotor bar and the inverter output voltage on the characteristics of the torque and bar loss in the rotor are investigated. The simulation results are verified by measurement of flux density distribution axially in the stator teeth.

  • The cutting process of cage motor rotor require high precision and good roughness. The surface roughness of cutting face is very important factor with effect on the magnetic flux density of cage motor rotor. The paper describes a cause of decrease in the cutting force and roughness on low temperature cooling tool by means of analysis on the mechanism of force system at cutting confition and experimental findings. The main results as compared with the room temperature cutting are as follow : 1) The cutting resistance decreased due to low temperature cooling tool. 2) The surface roughness decreased due to low temperature cooling tool.

  • This paper is about designing the magnetizing system which is used for magnetizing the NdFeB magnet in a squirrel cage rotor. It propose the shape of the magnetizing yoke, the number of coil turn and the capacitor discharging circuit parameter. In case of magnetizing the NdFeB magnet assembled with a squirrel cage rotor, the eddy current which is produced during magnetizing becomes a disturbance in magnetizing NdFeB magnet. Hence in this paper, we try to design optimized magnetizing system with eddy current considered by FEM(Finite Element Method).

  • The conversion of both the racemic and resolved forms of the Co(III) complex of an hydroxymethyl-substituted tripodal hexamine to macrobicycles via reaction with formaldehyde and nitromethane (and subsequent reduction of the product) has been conducted. The prospect is that it will provide cage complexes in which the hydroxyl substituent is sufficiently remote from the metal ion centre for its nucelophilicity to be largely unaffected. X-ray structure determinations have been used to characterise these new cage species as well as some complexes of the precursor hexamine and its mono-aminal. The electrochemistry and optical activity of the complexes have also been studied in detail.

  • B-cell activating factor (BAFF) is a key regulator of B-lymphocyte development. Its biological role is mediated by the specific receptors BCMA, TACI, and BAFF-R. We have determined the crystal structure of BAFF-R extracellular domain bound to BAFF at a resolution of 3.3 ?. The cysteine-rich domain(CRD) of the BAFF-R extracellular domain adopts a b-hairpin structure and binds to the virus-like BAFF cage in a 1:1 molar ratio. The conserved DxL motif of BAFF-R is located on the tip of the b-turn, and plays an indispensable role in the binding of BAFF. The crystal structure shows that a unique dimeric contact occurs between the BAFF-R monomers in the virus-like cage complex. Both of the CRDs of TACI contain the DxL motifs and simultaneously interact with the BAFF dimer in the virus-like cage.

5상 농형 유도전동기의 정수 추정 (Parameters Estimation of Five-phase Squirrel-Cage Induction Motor)

  • This paper propose a improved parameter estimations of five-phase squirrel-cage induction motor(IM) for speed control system on field oriented control(FOC). In order to high performance control of ac the motors using a FOC and DTC(direct torque control) algorithm, there are required precise motor parameters for slip calculation, flux observer, controller gain, rotor position and speed estimation, and so on. We are suggest a estimation method of the motor parameters that developing five-phase squirrel-cage IM have a stator of concentrated winding for experimental. There are results of stator winding test, no-load test, locked rotor test, and obtained equivalent circuits using manufactured experimental apparatus. For presenting the superior performance of the speed control system in adapted the parameters, experimental results are presented using a 32-bit fixed point TMS320F2812 DSP with 1.5[KW] IM.

  • This paper propose a variable parameter estimations of five-phase squirrel-cage induction motor(IM) for speed control system. In order to high performance control of AC motor using a field oriented control(FOC) and direct torque control(DTC) algorithm, there are required precise motor parameters for slip calculation, flux observer, controller gain, rotor position, speed estimation, and so on. We are suggest a analyzed estimation results of the motor parameters that developing five-phase squirrel-cage IM have a stator of concentrated winding for experimental of variable input power frequency. There are results of stator winding test, no-load test, locked-rotor test, variable actual load test, and estimated parameters of equivalent circuits using manufactured experimental apparatus by IEEE Standard Test Procedure for Polyphase Induction Motors and Generators 112-2004.

Comparison of Flywheel Systems for Harmonic Compensation Based on Wound/Squirrel-Cage Rotor Type Induction Motors

  • This paper describes two different systems which can compensate harmonic currents generated in a power system. As non-linear loads increase gradually in industry fields, harmonic current generated in the electric power network system also increases. Harmonic current makes a power network current distorted and generates heat, vibration and noise in the power machinery. Many approaches have been applied to compensate harmonic currents generated in the power system. Among various approaches, in this paper, two kinds are compared and evaluated. They are flywheel compensators bases on secondary excitation of WRIM(wounded rotor induction motor) and SCIM(squirrel cage induction motor). Both systems have a common structure. They use a flywheel as an energy storage device and use PWM inverters. The main differences are the size and rating of the converter used.

C20 Cluster의 안정한 구조 탐색

  • 본 실험에서는 탄소 cluster 중에서 fullerene 구조를 가질 수 있는 가장 작은 cluster인 $C_{20}$ cluster에 대해, 기존 연구에서 가장 안정한 것으로 제시된 cage(fullerene), bowl, ring의 3가지 구조와 $Si_{20}$ cluster를 모방한 구조 하나의 안정성을 확인하였다. ab-initio calculation을 지원하는 Edison nanophysics의 LCAODFLab을 이용하여 LDA-CA, GGA-PBE 두 가지 방법으로 계산하였다. 계산 값을 바탕으로 각 구조의 원자화에너지를 비교한 결과 LDA와 GGA 모두 cage, bowl, ring의 순서로 안정하였다. 최적화한 구조에 대하여 구조분석을 진행하였다. 최적화 결과 Bowl은 $C_{5v}$, ring은 $D_{10h}$, cage는 $C_{2h}$ 대칭성을 가지는 구조였으며, LDA, GGA 계산 모두 $C_{20}$ 구조의 spin polarization에는 영향을 받지 않았다.
