Among a large number of insects collected by the authors in 1991, thirteen species under five genera of Laboulbeniales have been obtained from sourthern of Korea; Chitonomyces chinensis on Laccophillus difficilis, (Dytiscidae, Coleoptera), Chitonomyces melanurus on Laccophillus difficilis, (Dytiscidae, Coleoptera), Chitonomyces paradoxus on Laccophillus difficilis, (Dytiscidae, Coleoptera), Dichomyces furcifer on Philonthus amicus (Staphylinidae, Coleoptera), Dichomyces homalotae on Atheta sp. (Staphylinidae, Coleoptera), Laboulbenia acupalpi on Acupalpus inoratus (Carabidae, Coleoptera), Laboulbenia flagellata on Anisodactylus tricuspidatus (Carabidiae, Coleoptera), Laboulbenia proliferans on Chlaenius naeviger (Carabidae, Coleoptera), Laboulbenia tachys on Tachys laetificus (Carabidae, Coleoptera), Laboulbenia vulgaris on Bembidion scopulinum (Carabidae, Coleoptera), Rickia ancylopi on Ancylopus melanocephalus (Endomychidae, Coleoptera), Zodiomyces subseriatus on Helochares lentus (Hydrophilidae, Coleoptera), and Zodiomyces vorticellarius on Helochares lentus (Hydrophilidae, Coleoptera). Among these species, three species and a genus Zodiomyces (L. proliferans, Z. subseriatus and Z. vorticellarius) are newly reported to the flora of southern Korean region.

The Seven Species under three genera of the Laboubeniales collected from September 1993 to August 1994 in Cheju Island. Investigated was the ground-walking Coleoptera at the moor and adjacent forest at 800 m and rice paddies at lower level of 50 m in altitude. There were 5 species belonging to 5 genera and 2 families, 4 species belonging to 4 genera and 3 families, and 17 species belonging to 11 genera and 2 families respectively. Diplous depressus (Gebler) was the dominant species at the moor and forest in distinctive numbers, while Pheropsophus javanus (Dejean) was the one at the paddies. Three investigated sites supported independently their ground-walking Coleoptera groups. The moor group seemed to fail in establishing the resident Coleoptera community. The fact may imply to be related a kind of the pioneer species in early dry succession that D. depressus was found in a considerable range between forest and moor. The Coleoptera groups of moor and forest was different from that of paddies in species structure.

This research was carried out three times in the Dongdaesan, the Dongpigol camping area and the Sangwonsa from June 1995 to September 1995 to study insect fauna(Hemiptera, Coleoptera and Lepidoptera) in Odaesan National Pard. Eleven jamilies and 15 species of Hemiptera, 20 families and 40 species of Coleoptera and 11 families and 42 species of Lepidoptera was collected and identified. Among these, 12 species of Hemiptera, the 21 species of Coleoptera and 22 species of Lepidoptera were first reported in Odaesan. Including these first found insects, 8 families and 36 species of Hemiptera, 26 families and 97 species of Coleoptera, 30 families and 274 species of Lepidoptera are reported from Odaesan. The species inventories for Hemiptera, Coleoptera and Lepidotera were made from present study and previous works.

Three species of the family Biphyllidae - Biphyllus japonicus Sasaji, 1983, Biphyllus loochooanus Sasaji, 1991 and Biphyllus oshimanus Nakane, 1988 - are reported for the first time in Korea. Herein, 19 species of the ground beetles are reported from Korea. Of these, 3 species, Bembidion shimoyamai Habu, 1978, Pogonus itoshimaensis Habu, 1954, and Tachys fumigatus Motschulsky, 1851 are recorded for the first time from Korean peninsula.
