CNT가 함유된 전자파 차폐흡수시트의 제조 및 전자파 차폐특성 (Preparation of Sheet with CNT for EMI Shielding and Its EMI Shielding Property)

  • 금속분말에 바인더, methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), cyclohexanone을 혼합한 슬러리를 이용하여 전자파 차폐용 시트를 제조하였으며, 이때 전기전도성이 높은 carbon nanotube (CNT)를 첨가하여 차폐효율을 증가시키고자 하였다. 제조된 시트는 주사전자현미경(SEM)과 energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS)를 이용하여 표면분석과 성분분석을 실시하였다. 시트의 전기적 특성과 차폐효율은 4-Point Probe와 전자파차폐효율측정기를 이용하여 측정하였다. 전기저항은 CNT를 2% 첨가한 시트가 $13.13{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$로 가장 낮은 값을 나타내었으며, 전자파 차폐 효율 역시 CNT를 2%첨가한 시트가 63 dB로 가장 높은 값을 가지는 것으로 평가되었다.

Preparation and capacitance properties of graphene based composite electrodes containing various inorganic metal oxides

  • Electrochemical properties and performance of composites performed by incorporating metal oxide or metal hydroxide on carbon materials based on graphene and carbon nanotube (CNT) were analyzed. From the surface analysis by field emission scanning electron microscopy and field emission transmission electron microscopy, it was confirmed that graphene, CNT and metal materials are well dispersed in the ternary composites. In addition, structural and elemental analyses of the composite were conducted. The electrochemical characteristics of the ternary composites were analyzed by cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge-discharge tests, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy in 6 M KOH, or $1M\;Na_2SO_4$ electrolyte solution. The highest specific capacitance was $1622F\;g^{-1}$ obtained for NiCo-containing graphene with NiCo ratio of 2 to 1 (GNiCo 2:1) and the GNS/single-walled carbon $nanotubes/Ni(OH)_2$ (20 wt%) composite had the maximum specific capacitance of $1149F\;g^{-1}$. The specific capacitance and rate-capability of the $CNT/MnO_2/reduced$ graphene oxide (RGO) composites were improved as compared to the $MnO_2/RGO$ composites without CNTs. The $MnO_2/RGO$ composite containing 20 wt% CNT with reference to RGO exhibited the best specific capacitance of $208.9F\;g^{-1}$ at a current density of $0.5A\;g^{-1}$ and 77.2% capacitance retention at a current density of $10A\;g^{-1}$.

감광성 탄소나노튜브 페이스트의 조성과 열처리가 전계방출 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Photosensitive Carbon Nanotube Paste on Field Emission Properties)

  • Photosensitive carbon nanotube (CNT) pastes are explored to develop a CNT field emitter for field emission display (FED) application. We formulated a photosensitive paste including multi-walled CNTs (MWNTs) for screen printing. The photosensitive CNT paste was synthesized by mixing of MWNTs, inorganic fillers (nano metal), organic vehicle, monomers and photo initiator. The CNT paste films were patterned by using backside exposure technique. The CNTs were strongly fixed on a cathode by formation of carbon residue during firing process. For the CNT emitters, current-voltage(I-V) characteristics and images of field emission were evaluated. The emission properties of CNT emitters are dependent on the paste composition. A turn-on electric field for the CNT field emitters is measured to be 1 V/$\mu$m. Additionally, the effect of heat treatment parameter on field emission properties was discussed. The newly formulated photosensitive CNT paste can be potentially applicable to highly reliable CNT field emitters.

수직배향 CNT의 성장에 미치는 질소의 영향 (Nitrogen Effect on Vertically Aligned CNT Growth)

  • 전이금속을 촉매로 이용하여 화학기상증착법 (CVD)으로 탄소나노튜브 (CNT)를 성장시킬 때, 질소분위기가 성장을 증진시킨다는 사실은 잘 알려져 있다. 본 논문에서는 질소분위기에 의한 CNT 성장증진의 원인이 활성화 질소이며, 활성화 질소가 성장과정 중 CNT의 탄소와 결합함으로써 성장증진효과가 일어남을 보여주었다. 이 결과는 질소의 결합이 튜브상의 흑연판을 만드는데 필요한 탄성변형에너지를 낮추어 주는 역할을 한다는 CNx 박막의 이론적 계산결과와 일치한다. 따라서, 질소의 결합에 의한 CNT의 성장증진 효과는 튜브상의 흑연판 핵 생성과 CNT의 성장에 필요한 임계 에너지의 감소에 의한 것이다.

  • 최근 에너지 효율과 소형화측면에서 한계를 보이는 Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistor(MOSFET)을 대체할 수 있는 소자로 Tunneling FET(TFET)이 주목받고 있다. 본 논문에서는 탄소나노튜브(Carbon Nanotube, CNT) TFET을 시뮬레이션하여 전자회로의 기본 단위인 인버터(Inverter)를 설계한다. 설계한 인버터의 성능을 CNT-MOSFET 인버터와 비교하여 저전력 디지털 회로로써의 가능성을 확인한다.

고압비틀림 성형 공정에 의한 Al 기지 CNT 복합재료의 초미세결정 벌크화 (Ultrafine Grained Bulk Al Matrix Carbon Nanotube Composites Processed by High Pressure Torsion)

  • Carbon nanotubes(CNTs) are expected to be ideal reinforcements of metal matrix composite materials used in aircraft and sports industries due to their high strength and low density. In this study, a high pressure torsion(HPT) process at an elevated temperature(473K) was employed to achieve both powder consolidation and grain refinement of aluminummatrix nanocomposites reinforced by 5vol% CNTs. CNT/Al nanocomposite powders were fabricated using a novel molecular-level mixing process to enhance the interface bonding between the CNTs and metal matrix before the HPT process. The HPT processed disks were composed of mostly equilibrium grain boundaries. The CNT-reinforced ultrafine grained microstructural features resulted in high strength and good ductility.

Fabrication of CNT Flexible Field Emitters and Their Field Emission Properties

  • Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have been studied as an ideal material for field emitters due to the high aspect ratio, excellent electrical property and good mechanical strength. There were many reports on CNT emitters fabricated on rigid substrates, but rare reports about CNT flexible field emitters. Recently, we considered that CNTs can be a good candidate for a flexible field emitter material because of their excellent Young's modulus and elasticity, which could not be achieved with metal tips or semiconducting nanowire tips. In this work, we demonstrated the CNT flexible field emitters fabricated by a simple method and studied the field emission properties of the CNT flexible field emitters under various bending conditions. The flexible field emitters showed stable and uniform emission characteristics. Especially, there is no remarkable change of the field emission properties at the CNT flexible field emitters according to the bending conditions. The CNT flexible field emitters also exhibited a good field emission performance like the low turn-on field and high emission current. Therefore, we suggest that the CNT flexible emitters can be used in many practical applications under different bending conditions.

CNT 첨가를 통해 표면 처리한 LTO의 특성향상에 관한 연구 (Improved Properties of Li4Ti5O2 (LTO) by Surface Modification with Carbon Nanotube (CNT))

  • Among the lithium metal oxides for hybrid-capacity, $Li_4Ti_5O_{12}(LTO)$ is an emerging electrode material as zero-stain material in volume change during the with the charging and discharging processes. However, LTO has a limitation of low ionic and electronic conductivity. To enhance the ionic and electronic properties of $Li_4Ti_5O_{12}(LTO)$, we synthesized the spherical LTO/CNT composite by sol-gel process for hybrid capacitors. CNT interconnection networks between CNT-LTO particles enhanced electronic conductivity and electrochemical charging/discharging properties. All of the LTO samples was observed to show the spinel structure and spherical morphology with the diameter of $5{\sim}10{\mu}m$. Especially, spherical LTO/CNT composite of the CNT-3 wt% showed the enhanced capacity from 110 mAh/g to 140 mAh/g at 10 C.

CNT-Ag 복합패드가 Cu/Au 범프의 플립칩 접속저항에 미치는 영향 (Effect of CNT-Ag Composite Pad on the Contact Resistance of Flip-Chip Joints Processed with Cu/Au Bumps)

  • 이방성 전도접착제를 이용하여 Cu/Au 칩 범프를 Cu 기판 배선에 플립칩 실장한 접속부에 대해 CNT-Ag 복합패드가 접속저항에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. CNT-Ag 복합패드가 내재된 플립칩 접속부가 CNT-Ag 복합패드가 없는 접속부에 비해 더 낮은 접속저항을 나타내었다. 각기 25 MPa, 50 MPa 및 100 MPa의 본딩압력에서 CNT-Ag 복합패드가 내재된 접속부는 $164m{\Omega}$, $141m{\Omega}$$132m{\Omega}$의 평균 접속저항을 나타내었으며, CNT-Ag 복합패드를 형성하지 않은 접속부는 $200m{\Omega}$, $150m{\Omega}$$140m{\Omega}$의 평균 접속저항을 나타내었다.

  • 마이크론 금속섬유 필터 표면상에 탄소나노튜브를 직접 합성 성장함으로써 마이크론 필터의 성능을 향상할 수 있었다. 탄소나노튜브는 합성조건에 따라 마이크론 섬유 주위를 덮는 덤불 나노구조체 또는 섬유 사이를 연결하는 망 형상의 나노구조체로 성장하였다. 탄소나노튜브가 성장한 금속필터와 탄소나노튜브가 성장하지 않은 금속필터의 여과성능을 측정하여 비교한 결과, 차압의 변화는 미미하나 여과효율은 더욱 향상되었고, 이는 탄소나노튜브가 오염 나노입자를 잡는 트랩으로 작용하였기 때문이다.
