A study on the growth mechanism of rutile single crystal by skull melting method and conditions of RF generator (스컬용융법에 의한 루틸 단결정 성장메커니즘과 RE generator 조건에 관한 연구)

  • Ingots of rutile single crystals were grown by the skull melting method, and their characteristics were compared in terms of melt-dwelling time for each melt. The method is based on direct inductive heating of an electrically conducted melt by an alternating RF field, and the heating is performed by absorption of RF energy. $TiO_2$ is an insulator at room temperature but its electric conductivity increases elevated temperature. Therefore, titanium metal ring(outside diameter : 6cm, inside diameter : 4cm, thickness 0.2cm) was embedded into $TiO_2$, powder (anatase phase, CERAC, 3N) for initial RF induction heating. Important factors of the skull melting method are electric resistivity of materials at their melting point, working frequency of RF generator and cold crucible size. In this study, electric resitivity of $TiO_2$, $(10^{-2}\~10^{-1}\;{\Omega}{\cdot}m)$ at its melting point was estimated by compairing the electric resitivities of alumina and zirconia. Inner diameter and height of the cold crucible was 11 and 14cm, respectively, which were determined by considering of the Penetration depth $(0.36\~1.13cm)$ and the frequency of RF generator.

Policies and Tasks for Improving Korean CM Industry (CM 산업 발전을 위한 정책 및 과제 추진 방안)

  • As domestic construction investment has been gradually reduced, the issue of expanding overseas CM market has increased. Strengthening CM capability from the view point of project life-cycle is required in overseas CM market. However, current regulations institutionally force public CM services to focus on the construction phase. Therefore, Korean CM firms can hardly have the opportunities for accumulating technical competitiveness especially for pre-construction phase. Result of this study shows that the total efforts in terms of man-hours for the construction phase is found to be more than 78 percent in domestic public CM projects. In this context, this study proposes the policies and tasks for improving 'rigid man-hour placement', 'unreasonable CM fee standards', 'CM firm selection method', 'unreasonable business scope decision', and 'evaluation of owner's project management capability' in order to improve domestic CM Industry as well as to expand overseas CM market successfully.

A Study on the Basic Slacks Pattern for Middle-Aged Women (중년기 여성을 위한 슬랙스원형 설계에 관한 연구)

  • This study was performed to develop a basic stacks pattern for middle-aged women reflecting the characteristics of their lower body types. Anthropometric measurements using sliding guage method were carried out for 4 women 40's For the analysis of the lower body types horizontal and vertical section maps obtained by sliding gauge method and 2 indices were produced. Based on the slacks construction components produced by the drafts of their lower body surface experimental slacks pattern was designed. Multiple comparison test was used to compare 3 existing slacks patterns with the experimental pattern. 1. The results of the body section map analysis were as follows: 1) In the frontal view silhouette of vertical section maps there were less individual differences in items with skeleton landmarks than those without them. 2) In the shape of horizontal section maps waist section represented more round shape than the others and thigh maximum width section had the flattest shape. Flat ratios(depth/width) of subjects were much higer than those of young women which clarified the change of depth was bigger than that of width with aging process. 2. The slacks construction components for pattern drafting were as follows: 1)Ease amount of waist was 0.5cm and front and back waist girth difference was 1.2cm Ease amount of hip was 1,8cm and front and back hip girth difference was 0.7 cm 2) The amount of dart intake incresed in the order of side(4cm) back(3,6cm) from (2.8cm) The length of dart leg incresed in the order of front side back.

  • The InP single crystals were grown by Modified Synthesis Solute Diffusion (SSD) method and its properties were investigated. The crystal growth rate and lattice constant $a_{\circ}$ of the grown crystals were 1.8mm/day, 5.867${\AA}$ respectively. Etch pits density along growth direction of crystal had nearly uniformity' about (2-6)x10 $cm^{-2}$ from first freeze part to last freeze part. The carrier concentration, mobility and resistivity varied from 6.25 x $10^{15}cm^{-3}$, 4218 $cm^{2}$/V sec and 1.38 x $10^{-1}{\Omega}^{-cm}$ at the first freeze part to 8.8x$10^{-3}cm^{-3}$, 4012 $cm^{2}$/V.sec and 1.43 X $10^{-1}{\Omega}^{-cm}$ at the last freeze part. In the photoluminescence at 10K, the radiation transitions were observed by the near band edge recombination, D-A pair recombination and its phonon replica in the undoped InP.

  • This paper proposes a two dimensional behavior analysis method for fish in a water tank based on the ARX method and the Kalman filter algorithm using image processing technology. In modeling the behavior of fish, the input is denoted as the environmental change and uses M-sequence. The output is expressed by the partnership between fish. The behavior model of individual fish is identified by the ARX method. It is then estimated by the Kalman filter algorithm. Finally, the fish behavior is analyzed by FFT. To prove the effectiveness of the pro-posed algorithm, it is applied to two tilapias in a water tank with dimensions of 100cm$\times$100cm$\times$50cm. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated through ARX identification, estimation of Kalman filter, and FFT analysis.

  • An instance of domestic exhibition facility building case, the shortage of managing personal in construction resulted serious issue on expenses, times, quality, and safty with no satisfaction on its process and result. According to subject's speciality the CM's application methods are varied and because of its speciality, overall process of building an exhibition facility operating by its owner. This study intends to exam a application possibility of CM on exhibition facility construction to make smooth communication among varied area that following to exhibition facility construction.

  • CdTe crystals were grown by the vertical Bridgman method. P-type DcTe crystals were grown with Cd:Te= 1:1.001 wt. % ratio, while n-type CdTe crystals were 1:1 Also, CdTe:In crystals were investigated, Lattic constants were 6.489${\AA}$ for p-type 6.480${\AA}$for n=type and 6.483${\AA}$ for CdTe:In EPD was 10$\^$-3/-10$\^$4/cm$\^$-2/ for n-, p-type CdTd, 10$\^$4/-10$\^$5/cm$\^$-2 for Cd:Te:In using by E-Ag solution for (111) plane The carrier concentration, the resistivity and the Hall carrier mobility measured by the van der Pauw method were p=5.78${\times}$10$\^$15/cm$\^$-3/, $\rho$=20.2$\Omega$cm, ${\mu}$$\sub$p/=75.6cm$\^$-2/ V$\^$-1/ sec$\^$-1/ for p-typem n=2.98${\times}$10$\^$16/cm$\^$-3/, $\rho$=0.214$\Omega$cm, ${\mu}$$\sub$p/=978.9cm$\^$-2/ V$\^$-1/ sec$\^$-1/ for n-type and n=7.45${\times}$10$\^$16/cm$\^$-3/, $\rho$=1.54 ${\times}$10$\^$3/$\Omega$cm, ${\mu}$$\sub$p/=658.4 cm$\^$-2/ V$\^$-1/ sec$\^$-1/ for CdTe:In crystals, Transmittance of p-type CdTe was 61% that of n-type was 65%, Cd:Te:In showed 60% IR transmittance.

  • Scatter correction for single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) plays an important role to improve image quality and quantitation. The purpose of this study was to investigate three scatter correction methods using Monte Carlo simulation. Point source and Jaszack phantom filled with Tc-99m were simulated by Monte Carlo code, SIMIND. For scatter correction, we applied three methods, Compton window (CW) method, triple window (TW) method, and dual photopeak window (DPW) method. Point sources located at various depths along the center line within a 20-cm phantom were simulated to calculate the window ratios and corresponding scatter fractions by evaluating the polynomial coefficients for DPW method. Energy windows were located in W$_1$=92-125 keV, W$_2$=124-126 keV, W$_3$=136-140 keV, W$_4$=140-141 keV, and W$_{5}$=154-156 keV. The results showed that in Jaszack phantom with cold sphere and hot sphere, the TW gave the closest contrast and percentage recovery to the ideal image, respectively, while CW overestimated and DPW underestimated the contrast of ideal one. All three scatter correction methods showed an improved image contrast. In conclusion, scatter correction is essential for improving image contrast and accurate quantification. The choice of scatter correction method should be made on the basis of accuracies and ease of implementation.

Effects of Different Planting Method and Amount of Applied Compost Powder on Yield of Rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) (유채의 재식방법과 퇴비 시용량 차이가 수량에 미치는 영향)

  • In order to find out the optimum compost powder, fertilizer level and planting method of high yielding F1 variety, Cheongpungyuchae, this experiment was conducted with 2 compositions of compost powder level and 3 different planting method at the experiment paddy field of Mokpo Experiment Station, National Institute of Crop Science, RDA. Cheongpungyuchae, rapeseed variety was grown under different compost powder level and planting method with the highest yielding variety. Yield components such as ear length, total branch, number of pods per ear and oil content were highest at the plots with compost powder 1,500 kg/10a at level and planting method, Oct.30, transplanting with 50 ${\times}$ 30 cm. Judging from the results reported above, at optimum compost powder level and planting method of rapeseed seemed to be 1,500 kg/10a compost powder and transplanting method with 50 cm row spacing and 30 cm planting space.

  • The doped n-type $Al_{x}Ga_{1-x}Sb$ crystals were grown by the vertical Bridgman method at composition ratio x=0, x=0.1, x=02 respectively. The lattice constants of the $Al_{x}Ga_{1-x}Sb$ crystals were 6.096${\AA}$, 6.097${\AA}$, 6.106${\AA}$ at composition ratio respectively. The carrier concentration, the resistivity, and the carrier mobility measured by the Van der Pauw method at x-0 were n≡1 x $10^{17}$$cm^{-3}$, $\rho$≡0.15 ${\Omega}$-cm, ${\mu}$$_{n}$≡500 $\textrm{cm}^2$$V^{-1}$$sec^{-1}$ at 300K. The carrier concentration, the resistivity, and the carrier mobility measured by the Van der Pauw method at x=0.1 were n≡2.96 x $10^{15}$$cm^{-3}$, $\rho$≡103 $\textrm{cm}^2$$V^{-1}$$sec^{-1}$ at 300K.
