Evaluation of Busan Marine Tourism Cluster by the Concordance Test

  • By employing primarily the Kendall's Concordance Test, the paper attempted to conduct an experts' evaluation on the interaction among the agents in Busan marine tourism cluster and recommend some measures for policy consideration for the cluster's activation. For this purpose, a conceptual framework was developed to guide the assessment by using inter-agent cooperation and network approaches regarding the nature of the marine tourism cluster. Such factors as cooperation, competition, relationship marketing, and networking were identified as critical. Findings of the study imply that Busan marine tourism cluster is at its embryonic stage and needs desperate measures for improvement in the inter-organizational cooperation and networking, the major regional characteristics that determine the competitiveness of marine tourism.

  • The mechanism of the ionized cluster beam deposition has been studied using Molecular Dynamics Simulation. The Embedded Atom Method(EAM) potential were used in the simulation. The impact of a Au95-cluster on Au(100) substrate was studied for the impact energies 0.15-10eV/atom. The dependency of the impact energy of cluster beam was observed. For the cluster energy impact of 10eV per atom, the defects on surface were created and the cluster embedded into substrate as an amorphous state. For the energy of 0.5eV per atom, the defect free homoepitaxial growth was observed and atomic scale nucleation was formated, which are in good agreement with experiment. Thus molecular dynamics simulation is very useful to study the mechanism of the ionized cluster beam deposition.

Modified Analytic Solutions of F.C.C. Metal Clusters

  • By including the overlap integrals between atomic orbitals, the modified cluster orbitals for a metal cluster of face centered cubic lattice are found. The modified analytic solutions of the cluster are obtained from them with the assumption that the cluster orbitals with different state indices do not mix together. The physical properties-the HOMO levels and the unit electronic energies-of Ni, Pd, and Pt clusters of various size, calculated by the modified cluster orbital method, agree better with the results obtained by the Extended Huckel calculation than those of the previous(unmodified) cluster orbital method do. As a result, it is verified that the physical properties, at least those related to the energy levels, obtained by the Extended Huckel method may be reproduced by use of the modified cluster orbital method instead.

  • This study measured the stream data from the several sensors, and stores the database in MapReduce framework environment, and it aims to design system with the small performance and cluster analysis error rate through the KMSVM algorithm. Through the KM-SVM algorithm, the cluster analysis effective data was used for U-health system. In the results of experiment by using 2003 data sets obtained from 52 test subjects, the k-NN algorithm showed 79.29% cluster analysis accuracy, K-means algorithm showed 87.15 cluster analysis accuracy, and SVM algorithm showed 83.72%, KM-SVM showed 90.72%. As a result, the process speed and cluster analysis effective ratio of KM-SVM algorithm was better.

  • This paper present box feature estimation from LiDAR point cluster using maximum likelihood Method. Previous LiDAR tracking method for autonomous driving shows high accuracy about velocity and heading of point cluster. However, Assuming the average position of a point cluster as the vehicle position has a lower accuracy than ground truth. Therefore, the box feature estimation algorithm to improve position accuracy of autonomous driving perception consists of two procedures. Firstly, proposed algorithm calculates vehicle candidate position based on relative position of point cluster. Secondly, to reflect the features of the point cluster in estimation, the likelihood of the particle scattered around the candidate position is used. The proposed estimation method has been implemented in robot operating system (ROS) environment, and investigated via simulation and actual vehicle test. The test result show that proposed cluster position estimation enhances perception and path planning performance in autonomous driving.

  • A project has been initiated at KISTI Supercomputing Center at year 1999 to build a Tflops cluster in order to support newly emerging demands for larger scale parallel computing resources. As a supportive substitute of traditional supercompters, the cluster systems are expected to play important role in supporting diversified computational needs. In this paper, KISTI Supercomputing Center's working status of building Tflops cluster system and future plans.

  • The epiphytic lichen communities were analysed in terms of cluster analysis on forty two stands and eight environmental variables in Mt. Duckyoo. Ordination of stand and species by principal component analysis (PCA) and sum of square algorithm (SSA) gave similar results. Species cluster showed three groups(I, II, III) and stand revealed three groups (A, B, C). Interaction of stand and species cluster was interpreted by analysis of concentration technique. The results indicated a significant cluster structure at the level of different environment variable.

  • Linux cluster Server makes a high performance PC cluster system, and provides scalablity and availability as compared with an expensive single server. In this paper, we design and implement a VOD streaming service system to serve video and audio streaming services on the Linux cluster server. Our Streaming server supports the MS Window Media Format based on the RTSP streaming protocol.

  • In this paper a new cluster validation index which is heuristic but able to eliminate the monotonically decreasing tendency occurring in which the number of cluster c gets very large and close to the number of data points n is proposed. We review the FCM algorithm and some conventional cluster validity criteria discuss on the limiting behavior of the proposed validity index and provide some numerical examples showing the effectiveness of the proposed cluster validity index.
