Disney Animation has showed not only artistic excellence but also technological innovations through a lot of animation films that they released. Especially with the unique concept that free-willed game characters dive into different worlds of games in animation film, received both critical and commercial acclaim for its stunning visuals and outstanding CG (computer graphics) effects. The purpose of this study is to analyze different styles of game worlds, Disney's layout pipeline, and in-house camera capture system used in . This paper analyzes that three game worlds in this film such as Fix-It Felix Jr., Sugar Rush, and Hero's Duty express different styles by using appropriate character animation and camera movements. Especially Hero's Duty game which new in-house camera capture system is extensively used maximizes unseen visuals by perfectly making realistic and believable game world. Disney's newly developed in-house camera capture system, which is used in this film for the first time, allows real camera's motion and shake and real-time camera's movement and correction within animation set. Result of this study proves that this system improves directing of feature animation and enhance efficiency of the layout department's production process. Therefore, it contributes to a great extent to development of animation films' business.
As webtoon became activated, new forms of expression corresponding to a web format were appeared. New forms can be classified into two. The first is regarding on the computer, which includes a wide use of CG, and color comics. The second is related to web-based one, which includes the trend of a vertical scroll, the introduction of concept in time, animation stage effects, the manufacture trend of media optimization, and the various media mixing. While problems regarding web-based comics service such as copyright and cartoonist become manifested, webtoon will widen new horizon of comics with its characteristics and the change in the form of expression.

This paper presents a new prediction method RBP region-based prediction model where the context used for prediction contains regions instead of individual pixels. There is a meaningful property that RBP can partition a cartoon image into two distinctive types of regions, one containing full-color backgrounds and the other containing boundaries, edges and home-chromatic areas. With the development of computer techniques, synthetic images created with CG (computer graphics) becomes attactive. Like the demand on data compression, it is imperative to efficiently compress synthetic images such as cartoon animation generated with CG for storage of finite capacity and transmission of narrow bandwidth. This paper a lossy compression method to full-color regions and a lossless compression method to homo-chromatic and boundaries regions. Two criteria for partitioning are described, constant criterion and variable criterion. The latter criterion, in form of a linear function, gives the different threshold for classification in terms of contents of the image of interest. We carry out experiments by applying our method to a sequence of cartoon animation. We carry out experiments by applying our method to a sequence of cartoon animation. Compared with the available image compression standard MPEG-1, our method gives the superior results in both compression ratio and complexity.

As a means of getting over the linguistic barrier between different languages, a sign-language communication system using CG animation techniques has been studied. In order to generate a kind of sign-language animation in the system, the joint angles of the arms and the hands corresponding to the gesture have to be determined Up to date, however, the values of joint angles have been decided by trial-and-error methods based on the animator's experiences To overcome the drawback, m this paper, we design an integrated keyframe editor of the arms and the hands for 3D sign-language animation with which we can easily and quickly generate the keyframes of the sign-language animation required to build up In the Implemented keyframe editor, the values of joint angles are calculated by using mverse kinematics, and the same transformation matrix is applied to the joints of two arms and twenty fingers Experimental results show a possibility that the editor could be used efficiently for making up the sign-language communication dictionaries needed for inter-communication between different languages.
Simulacra theory as propounded by Jean Baudrillard in his seminal treatise, "Simulacra and Simulation," explores the significance of images, media and art in contemporary culture. Its central theoretical premise is the simulacrum, a sign or symbol that plays a crucial role in constructing perceived reality but which lacks a real-world referent. In Michel Gondry creates simulacra in the form of hallucinatory dream imagery by combining stop-motion animation and live-action elements. As experimental film-making that combines analog and minimum digital technologies, the result is a tour-de-force of synchronization. This study analyzes the film's technique and expressive content and, by adopting simulacra theory as a conceptual framework, aims to provide a better understanding of Gondry's work.
The expression of natural backgrounds in a digital clip such as forest, water and sky break new ground and evolve. The process of arriving at a certain background style and designing belongs to the pre-production stage of animation produuction. Due to the advancement of CG technology, the production and consumption of animation has accelerated and so in an effort to reduce production time, the natural background has increasingly becomme normalised. For the distinction in contents, narrative and characters are emphasized in pre-production since it is believed that the background design will simply be a still image. However, there is a need to focus on background design as it is a tool that can effectively emphasize the narrative. This research is an analysis of the background design's role in forest background in productions such as "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland"(1951) and "Princess Mononoke"(1997). It details how appropriate each background forest was for the artist's intent using the 7 types of forest landscapes according to dendrology.
The purpose of this study is to provide a virtual CG - based image production system for a simulator camera. The video production system proposed in this study is designed to synchronize the virtual camera of the graphic tool with the simulator camera at the shooting site and the CG application image editing, And can be easily and easily performed through a graphic tool by being controlled virtually through a control interface. Blaze Knights, an animation created by Dongseo University, was used to illustrate the superiority of the research results by comparing the progress and the amount of work before and after the application of the system. According to the results of the research, the CG artist's work efficiency is increased, while the physical constraint is minimized when the scene of the CG application image is minimized. It is possible to produce various scenes and minimize the re- We expect the contribution to the industry to be high.
The results of simulation on greenery ratio using CG are as follows: arrangement type of optimal condition and greenery ratio were summarized as below as dispersion type and 5% ratio greenery for 20 pairs of assessment items and these assessment items were classified into 5 factors as a result of factor analysis,. These factors were Harmony Animation Atmosphere texture Peculiarity. Verification results of factors differences according to each condition can be. there was no apparent difference among factors in accordance with gender, In case of arrangement type dispersion type was higher than concentration type in all factors. Based on the above results dispersion type was assessed higher than concentration type the most suitable condition of Harmony Factor was 5% dispersion type Animation Factor was 5% dispersion type Animation Factor was 7% dispersion type Atmosphere Factor was 10% dispersion type Texture Factor was 5% concentration type and $\ulcorner$Peculiarity Factor$\lrcorner$was 7% concentration type.

Hundred numbers of Special effects in animation and movie are essentionally used. Owing to the rapidly growth of Production method and special techniques, we can produce a real effect such as real scene. The aim of special effect is to generate refined scene, which we can't distinguish one from another. In this paper, New trend of special effects in animation and movie are compared and investigated the extension methods. And also we prospect the development direction of special effect.

The field of film art to be wised expression as development of Media has grown. Recently, the concern and effort has built up in digital film by Computer Graphics(CG) one of SFX. In this paper, I certified the formative properties based on Gestalt theory and centering best show in 2005. As a result, I confirmed that to insert 3D animation in film can lead fantasy or virtual world unable to be felt in real world, with the intention of producer, and that it was applied to free space not to be restricted making a film of scenes. And I confirmed that the partial modeling animation as the Gestalt theory that gives totality to objects of perception and needs closure can play role of understanding the meaning of film.
