  • We present new B, V, and R CCD photometric light curves for the low mass ratio contact binary FP Boo. A new photometric solution and absolute physical dimensions of the system were derived by applying the Wilson-Devinney program to our observed light curves and to previously published Rucinski et al.'s radial velocity curves. From the H-R diagram of 24 low mass ratio contact binary system including FP Boo, the evolutionary stage of FP Boo was found to coincide with those of the general low mass ratio contact binary systems. The light curves obtained in this season show a small asymmetry in their shapes.

  • CCD differential photometry was carried out for seven stars in the "New Catalogue of Suspected Variable Stars" in order to discover new short-period pulsating variables such as low and high amplitude $\delta$Scuti stars and RR Lyrate stars. It was found that NSV1132, NSV3031, and NSV5119 are RRs, Irregular, and low amplitude $\delta$Scuti type variables respectively.

  • We report V-(B - V) CCD Color Magnitude Diagrams (CMDs) for 23 southern Galactic globular clusters. Limiting magnitudes for each cluster are between 18 and 20 magnitudes in V. Most CMDs show subgiant starts, red giant stars, and horizontal branch stars. From the CMDs, we have determined the horizontal branch magnitudes, V(HB), reddenings, E(B - V), and distances of each cluster.

  • To derive the metallicities of M3 and M5, we used the shape of red giant branch, horizontal branch magnitude, and red giant branch bump on the (V-I)-V color magnitude diagrams. [Fe/H] values ranging -1.46 ∼ -1.69 for M3, and -1.00 ∼ -1.49 for M5 are estimated. These values are in good agreements with the previously determined ones. This result leads the morphologies of red giant and horizontal branches on the (V-I)-V color magnitude diagrams can be good indirect metallicity indicators of galactic globular clusters.

  • We present a deep(B, V) color-magnitude diagram (CMD) of the Galactic globular cluster NGC 4372. According to the recent inside-out picture of Galaxy formation, this cluster is predicted to be one of the oldest globulat clusters in the Galaxy. Our CMD shows a well defined main-sequence extending ∼ 2 magnitudes below the trunoff. Despite the uncertainty that stems from the small sample size of bright stars, comparison with the Revised Yale Isochrones suggests that this cluster may indeed be one of the oldest (∼16.6 Gyrs) globular clusters in our Galaxy.
