Organophilic ZSM-5 membrane was synthesized on the inside of a porous stainless steel support by a hydrothermal secondary growth with seed crystals. They are used to separate n-butanol from its aqueous solution. Pervaporation characteristics such as a permeation flux and a separation factor are investigated as a function of the feed concentration and the operating temperature. The concentration of n-butanol was changed from 0.001 mole fraction to 0.015 mole fraction with an interval of 0.005 mole fraction; the operating temperature was controlled to be 25C, $35^{\circ}C$ and $45^{\circ}C$. When the operating temperature was $45^{\circ}C$, the flux of n-butanol significantly increased from 2 to $27g/m^2/hr$ as the mole fraction of n-butanol in the feed side increased from 0.001 to 0.015. Consequently, the concentration of n-butanol in the permeate substantially increased from 0.0016 to 0.052 mole fraction. When the feed concentration was 0.015, the flux of n-butanol significantly increased from 13 to $27g/m^2/hr$ as the operating temperature increased from $25^{\circ}C$ to $45^{\circ}C$. As a result, the concentration of n-butanol in the permeate also increased from 0.045 to 0.052 mole fraction.

Rapid and homogeneous heating in heat treatment has been a challenging engineering issue throughout a heating temperature over $1,000^{\circ}C$. Induction heating has been widely used in field of heat treatment compared with conventional heating system. Advantages in homogeneous heating, simple fabrication, and repeatable use can be efficiently made with the induction heater. In this paper, numerical analysis of an induction coil system for heat flux gauge heating is performed. The effect of configuration on the heating performance was considered in various cases of the coil radius, distance between the winding, relative height difference between the heat flux gauge and the coil, and the applied current frequency. Temperature distribution within the heat flux gauge at frequency-steady state was calculated with a finite element method. Sensitivity analysis was also performed and the relative importance of 2 key parameters; coil radius, distance between the winding, were taken as main contributors for induction heating.

The evaporation heat transfer experiments are conducted with the shell and plate heat exchanger (S&PHE) without oil in the refrigerant loop using R-410A. An experimental refrigerant loop has been established to measure the evaporation heat transfer coefficient h. of R-410A in a vertical S&PHE. Two vertical counter flow channels were formed in the S&PHE by three plates haying a corrugated trapezoid shape of a $45^{\circ}C$ chevron angle. UP flow of the boiling R-410A in one channel receives heat from the hot down flow of water in the other channel The effects of the refrigerant mass flux. average heat flux. refrigerant saturation temperature and vapor qualify are explored in detail. Similar to the case of a plate heat exchanger. even at a very low Reynolds number, the flow in the S&PHE remains turbulent. The Present data shows that the evaporation heat transfer coefficients of R-410A increased with the vapor qualify. The results indicate a rise in the refrigerant mass flux caused an increase in the h.. Raising the imposed wall heat flux is found to slightly improve h., while h, is found to be lower at a higher refrigerant saturation temperature. Based on the present data. empirical correlation of the evaporation heat transfer coefficient is proposed.
In this work, Aqueous sericin solution was prepared by degumming process with electrolytic reduction water. Then, the microfiltration and ultrafiltration systems were applied to the concentration of aqueous sericin solution. The objective of this study was to select the optimum operating condition among the different pressure. The permeate flux and rejection ratio were observed with time, pressure, flow rate and concentration. and, the wastewater and permeated water quality values such as pH, BOD, COD, and NH levels were measured. In order to see the influence of electrolytic reduction water, the flux of pure water and electrolytic reduction water by PVDF22(MF) and PS100(UF) membrane was measured. In microfiltration system, the relative flux reduction decreased rapidly to 0.02 in the 30min, as the concentration polarization and gel layer formation were increased. and then the sericin concentration rejection ratio was 40%. In ultrafiltration system, the permeate flux decreased with time and concentration, and increased with the operating pressure and flow rate. Optimal condition in PS100 membrane system for sericin concentration was operating pressure 1.464kgf/$cm^24, operating flow rate $7\ell/min at\; 40^{\circ}C$. At that time, sericin concentration rejection ratio was 83% respectably. The sericin solution was concentrated from 0.1wt% solution to 0.2 wt % solution during about 2 hrs by the UF filteration membrane system.

This paper presents a digital motion control system for Reluctance Synchronous Motor (RSM) drives with direct torque control (DTC). The system consists of stator flux observer, torque estimator: two hysteresis band controllers, an optimal switching look-up table, IGBT voltage source inverter(VSI), and TMS320C31 DSP controller by using fully integrated control software. The stator flux observer is based on the combined voltage and current model with stator flux feedback adaptive control of which inputs are current, voltage and actual rotor angle for wide speed range. In order to prove the suggested motion control algorithm, There are some simulation and testing at actual experimental system. The developed digitally high-performance motion control system are shown a good motion control response characteristic results and high performance features using 1.0Kw RSM.
Atmospheric samples were conducted from September 2001 to July 2002 with GPS-l PUF sampler in rural site to concentration distributions of gas/particle PCBs and to calculate dry deposition flux of PCBs. $\Sigma$PCBs concentrations of gas/particle PCBs were 59.29$\pm$48.83, 6.56$\pm$6.59 pg/㎥, respectively. Gas contribution (%) of total PCBs (gas + particle) was 90% which existed gas phase in the atmosphere. The particle contribution (%) of PCB congeners increased relatively more of the less volatile congeners with the highest chlorine number. The correlation coefficients (r) between total PCBs and temperature ($^{\circ}C$) showed negative correlation in - 0.62 (p<0.0l) for particle phase, positive correlation in 0.63 (p<0.01) for gas phase. In other word, particle phase PCBs is enriched in colder weather which could be due to greater in corporation of condensed gas phase at low temperature. The calculated dry deposition of total PCBs (gas + particle) was 0.008, 0.008 $\mu\textrm{g}$$m^{-2}$ da $y^{-l}$ which showed maximum dry deposition flux in December, minimum data in July Bs in the atmosphere. The calculated dry deposition fluxes of total PCBs were influenced by particle phase PCBs even though PCBs in the atmosphere were present primarily in the gas phase.e.
Characteristics of R-22 and R-134a two-phase vaporization in horizontal small tubes were investigated experimentally. In order to obtain the local heat transfer coefficients, the test was ran under heat flux range of 10 to $40\;kW/m^2$, mass flux range of 200 to $600\;kg/m^2s$, saturation temperature range of 5 to $10^{\circ}C$, and quality up to 1.0. The test section, which was made of stainless steel tube and heated uniformly by applying an electric current to the tube directly, have inner tube diameters of 0.5, 1.5 and 3.0 mm, and lengths of 0.33 and 2.0 m. The effects on heat transfer coefficient of mass flux, heat flux and inner tube diameter were presented. The experimental heat transfer coefficients were compared with the predictions using existing heat transfer coefficient correlations. A new boiling heat transfer coefficient correlation based on the superposition model, with considering the laminar flow, was developed.

The evaporation heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop of $CO_2$(R-744) in a horizontal tube was investigated experimentally. The main components of the experimental apparatus are a receiver, a variable-speed pump, a mass flow meter, a pre-heater and an evaporator(test section). The test section consists of a horizontal stainless steel tube of 4.57 mm inner diameter. The experiments were conducted at mass flux of $200{\sim}1000\;kg/m^2s$ saturation temperature of $0{\sim}20^{\circ}C$, and heat flux of $10{\sim}40\;kW/m^2$. The test results showed that the heat transfer coefficient of $CO_2$ has a greater effect on nucleate boiling more than convective boiling. Mass flux of $CO_2$ does not affect nucleate boiling too much. In comparison with test data and existing correlations, All of the existing correlations for the heat transfer coefficient underestimated the experimental data. However lung et al.'s correlation showed a good agreement with the experimental data. The evaporation pressure drop of $CO_2$ increases with increasing mass flux and decreasing saturation temperature. When comparison between the experimental pressure drop and existing correlations. Existing correlations failed to predict the evaporation pressure drop of $CO_2$.
Two-phase flow boiling heat transfer of R-410A in horizontal small tubes was reported in the present experimental study. The local heat transfer coefficients were obtained over a heat flux range of 5 to 40 kW/$m^2$, a mass flux range of 170 to 600 kg/$m^2s$, a saturation temperature range of 3 to $10^{\circ}C$, and quality up to 1.0. The test section was made of stainless steel tubes with inner diameters of 0.5 and 3.0 mm, and lengths of 330 and 3000 mm, respectively. The section was heated uniformly by applying a direct electric current to the tubes. The effects on heat transfer of mass flux, heat flux, inner tube diameter, and saturation temperature were presented. The experimental heat transfer coefficient is compared with six existing heat transfer coefficient correlations. A new boiling heat transfer coefficient correlation based on the superposition model for R-410A in small tubes was developed with mean deviation of 10.13%.
