  • In general, the industrial complex is a place where factories of various industries are concentrated. It is only as efficient as it is designed. However, the risks vary as there are various industries. These features are also associated with various types of disasters. The dangers of natural disasters such as a typhoon, flood, and earthquake, as well as fire and explosions, are also latent. Many of these risks can make stable production and business activities difficult, resulting in massive direct and indirect damage. In particular, decades after its establishment, the vulnerabilities increase even more as aging and small businesses are considered. In this sense, it is significant to assess the vulnerability of the industrial complex. Thus analysing fire and explosion hazards as stage 1 of the vulnerability evaluation for the major potential disasters for the industrial complex. First, fire vulnerabilities were analyzed quantitatively. It is displayed in blocks for each company. The assessment block status and the fire vulnerability rating status were conducted by applying the five-step criteria. Level A is the highest potential risk step and E is the lowest step. Level A was 11.8% in 20 blocks, level B was 22.5% in 38 blocks, level C was 25.4% in 43 blocks, level D was 26.0% in 44 blocks, and level E was 14.2% in 24 blocks. Levels A and B with high fire vulnerabilities were analyzed at 34.3%. Secondly, the vulnerability for an explosion was quantitatively analyzed. Explosive vulnerabilities were analyzed at 4.7% for level A with 8 blocks, 3.0% for level B with 5, 1.8% for level C with 3, 4.7% for level D with 8, and 85.8% for level E with 145. Levels A and B, which are highly vulnerable to explosions, were 7.7 %. Thirdly, the overall vulnerability can be assessed by adding disaster vulnerabilities to make future assessments. Moreover, it can also assist in efficient safety and disaster management by visually mapping quantified data. This will also be used for the integrated control center of the N-Industrial Complex, which is currently being installed.

  • The cellular responses of soil-borne bacterium, Pseudomonas sp. HK-6 to explosive 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT) were examined. Two stress shock proteins (SSPs), approximately 70-kDa DnaK and a 60-kDa GroEL were found in HK-6 cells in response to TNT. Analyses of SDS-PAGE and Western blot using anti-DnaK and GroEL revealed that SSPs were induced in HK-6 cells exposed to 0.5 M of TNT far 6-12 hrs. The maximum induction of proteins was achieved at 8-hr incubation point after HK-6 cells'exposure to TNT. Similar SSPs were found to be induced in HK-6 cells by heat shock (shift of temperature, from $30^{\circ}C$ to $42^{\circ}C$) or cold shock (shift of temperature,$30^{\circ}C$ to $4^{\circ}C$).2D-PAGE of soluble protein tractions from the culture of Pseudomonas sp. HX-6 exposed to TNT demonstrated that approximately 450 spots were observed on the silver stained gels ranging from pH 3 to pH 10. Among them, 12 spots significantly induced and expressed in response to TNT were selected and analyzed. Approximately 60-kDa protein, which was assumed highly expressed on the gel, was used for amino acid sequencing. N-terminal microsequencing with in-gel digestion showed that N-terminal sequence of the TNT-induced protein, <$^1XXAKDVKFGDSARKKML^17$, shared extensive similarity with $^1XXAKDVKFGDSARKKML^17$, N-terminal sequence of (P48216) GroEL of Pseudomonas putida.

  • It is known from the literature that there are relatively few studies on the engineering properties of ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) in early age. In fact, in order to ensure the safety of UHPC during construction and sufficient durability and long-term performance, it is necessary to explore the early behavior of UHPC. The test parameters (test control factors) investigated included the percentage of cement replaced by silica fume (SF), the percentage of cement replaced by ultra-fine silica powder (SFP), the amount of steel fiber (volume percent), and the amount of polypropylene fiber (volume percentage). The engineering properties of UHPC in the fresh mixing stage and at the age of 7 days were investigated. These properties include freshly mixed properties (slump, slump flow, and unit weight) and hardened mechanical properties (compressive strength, elastic modulus, flexural strength, and splitting tensile strength). Moreover, the effects of the experimental factors on the performance of the tested UHPC were evaluated by range analysis and variance analysis. The experiment results showed that the compressive strength of the C8 mix at the age of 7 days was highest of 111.5 MPa, and the compressive strength of the C1 mix at the age of 28 days was the highest of 128.1 MPa. In addition, the 28-day compressive strength in each experimental group increased by 13%-34% compared to the 7-day compressive strength. In terms of hardened mechanical properties, the performance of each experimental group was superior to that of the control group (without fiber and without additional binder materials), with considerable improvement, and the experimental group did not produce explosive or brittle damage after the test. Further, the flexural test process found that all test specimens exhibited deflection-hardening behavior, resulting in continued to increase carrying capacity after the first crack.

  • Japanese encephalitis(JE) shows its explosive epidemicity in the temperate zone of Asia but little is known on the overwintering mechanism. One of the hypotheses on the overwintering mechanism is that the virus overwinters in the hibernating animals. There has been no report on the proliferation of JE virus(JEV) or antibody formation in the snakes. The purpose of this experiment is to explore the mutual relationship between JEV and snake and to clarify whether JEV proliferates and induce antibody formation in snakes. Three species of non-poisonous common snakes were employed. Precipitation test was carried out after injecting calf serum and, HI and neutralization tests were done by injecting JEV into the snakes. The gamma globulin fraction of pre- and post-injection serum were compared by paper chromatography. According to the results, precipitating antibody reaction to calf serum could be observed only at $4^{\circ}C$. It was failed to demonstrate HI antibody formation but neutralizing antibody could be detected in one of the 9 snakes. Although antibody could not be detected in test-tube, tile result of paper chromatography shows the remarkable increase of gamma globulin fraction after the injection. Above results are strongly indicating the antibody formation in the snakes.

  • A numerical analysis for the space frame structure under ballistic and blast loads was performed using LS-DYNA, a commercial code. The space frame structure was developed to be adapted to the ground vehicle in the future and it was designed to build with Al7039 frames and lightweight multi-layered panels for the purpose of weight reduction and shock mitigation. The analyses have done for side impacts by a cylindrical projectile and Comp. C-4 explosive representing major threats to the vehicle. The deformed shape of the panel section and stresses as well as accelerations of the frames calculated from LS-DYNA were compared to the test results to validate the analysis model. The internal energies for panels and frames from LS-DYNA were also compared to each other to discern their role in absorbing the ballistic and blast impact.

  • In this paper, we designed the COS MEMS system for sensing the falling detection and explosive noise of fuse link in COS (Cut Out Switch) installing on the power distribution. This system analyzed the failure characteristics and an instantaneous breakdown of power distribution. Therefore, our system strengths the industrial competence and guaranties the stable power supply. In this paper, we applied BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) technology which is suitable protocol for low data rate, low power consumption and low-cost sensor applications. We experimented with LSM6DSOX which is system-in-module featuring 3 axis digital accelerometer and gyroscope boosting in high-performance mode and enabling always-on low-power features for an optimal motion for the COS fuse holder. Also, we used the MP34DT05-A for gathering an ultra-compact, low power, omnidirectional, digital MEMS microphone built with a capacitive sensing element and an IC interface. The proposed COS MEMS system is developed based on nRF52 SoC (System on Chip), and contained a 3-axis digital accelerometer, a digital microphone, and a SD card. In this paper of experiment steps, we analyzed the performance of COS MEMS system with gathering the accelerometer raw data and the PDM (Pulse Data Modulation) data of MEMS microphone for broadcasting the failure of COS status.

  • The recent explosive use of the Internet and the development of computer communication technologies reveal serious computer security problem. Inspite of many studies on secure access to the system, generally, the attackers do not use the previous intrusion techniques or network flaw, rather they tend to use the vulnerabilities residing inside the program, which are the running programs on the system or the processes for the service. Therefore, the security managers must focus on updating the programs with lots of time and efforts. Developers also need to patch continuously to update the Program, which is a lot of burden for them. In order to solve the problem, we need to understand the vulnerabilities in the program, which has been studied for some time. And also we need to analyze the functions that contains some vulnerabilities inside. In this paper, we first analyzed the vulnerabilities of the standard C library, and Win32 API functions used in various programs. And then we described the design and implementation of the automated scanning tool for writing secure source code based on the analysis.

  • Nowadays, It is undeniable that the threat of network security is growing as time flows due to worldwide development of wire/wireless, various Internet platform and sophisticated hacking techniques. The amount of traffics that Network security solution has to handle is increasing and recently many occurrence of explosive traffic attacks from PulseWave are being observed which has many similar characteristics to New DDos. Medium and small sized firms abroad have developed and distributed Snort and Suricata that are based on open-source Intrusion Detection System(IDS) / Intrusion Prevention System (IPS). The goal of this study is to compare between Windows7 by applying suicata 4.0.0 32bit version and Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS by applying suicata 4.0.0 version which is an open source Intrusion Detection System / Intrusion Protection System that uses multi threads method. This experiment's environment was set as followed C1100 server model of Dell, Intel Xeon CPU L5520 2.27GHz*2 with 8 cores and 16 threads, 72GB of RAM, Samsung SSD 250GB*4 of HDD which was set on RAID0. According to the result, Suricata in Ubuntu is superior to Suricata in Windows7 in performance and this result indicates that Ubuntu's performance is far advanced than Windows7. This meaningful result is derived because Ubuntu that applied Suricata used multi core CPU and RAM more effectively.

  • Optimum culture conditions for the formation of nitrile hydratase by Brevibacterium sp. CH2 were investigated. Addition of ferric and ferrous ions greatly increased the nitrile hydratase formation. The effects of nitriles, amides, and acids as an inducer on the formation of nitrile hydratase were investigated. Isobutyramide was the best inducer among the tested compounds. When Brevibacterium sp. CH2 was cultivated for 23 h at $30^{\circ}C$ in a optimized medium containing 15 g of glucose, 5 g of bacto peptone, 3 g of yeast extract, 3 g of malt extract, 1 g of $KH_2$$PO_4$, 1 g of $K_2$$HPO_4$, 1 g of NaCl, 0.5 g of isobutyramide, 0.2 g of MgSO$_4$ㆍ7$H_2O$, and 0.02g of $FeSO_4$$7H_2$O per liter of distilled water with pH controlled at 7.1, the maximum total activity was 665 units/ml of the culture broth and the specific activity was 70 units/mg of the dry cells. The medium optimization increased the specific activity of Brevibacterium sp. CH2 2.2 times.

  • It is a serious task to the decommissioning of the uranium conversion plant that the demolition of the lagoon sludge. The main component of the sludge is ammonium nitrate and that is the very explosive material. Therefore, the bio-denitrification is a attractive process to remove the nitrate. In this work, some process variables was tested such as incubation temperature, nitrate concentration, electron donor, C/N ratio, seeding ratio, and pH with an anaerobic bacteria as Pseudomonas halodenitrificans. The results would be used as basic data to the continuous bio-denitrification process.
