COSPAS-SARSAT 406 MHz emergency beacons include ELTs for aviation, EPIRBs for maritime, and PLBs for individuals in distress. They are used to sending messages encoded on 406 MHzdistress frequency and sending alertsfor search and rescue in distress. C/S T.001 and T.018 are COSPAS-SARSAT technical documents. They include basic technical information needed for developing beacons, howmessages are constructed, and test methods for type approval. COSPAS-SARSAT systems that use existing low earth orbit (LEO) and geostationary earth orbit (GEO) satellites do not have a return link service (RLS). So, the survivors could not confirm whether the distress signal was sending or not. However, a new medium earth orbit (MEO)satellite system has been added to thissystem, allowing confirmation through the RLS function. This paper analyzed C/S T.001 and T.018 needed to develop navigation structuresthat incorporated improved PLB of 406 MHz, a homing signal generator of 121.5 MHz, and a VHF AM transmitter for aviation of 243 MHz.
Epitaxial thickness $t_e(T_s)$ of Si films grown at the substrate temperature $T_s$=80~30$0^{\circ}C$ by ultra-high vacuum ion-beam sputter deposition onto nominally-singular, [100]-miscut Si(001) was measured. $t_e(T_s)$ values of films grown on vicinal Si(001) substrates were decreases compared to those of films grown on nominally-singular Si(001). Evolution of surface roughness measured by atomic force microscopy of films grown at $300^{\circ}C$ showed that the increases step density in vicinal substrates increases the tendency toward unstable growth resulting in larger surface roughness, which in turn decreases te.
It is reported that the expression level of MLL3 in gastric cancer tissue highly correlates with tumor progression. However, whether MLL3 genetic variants are associated with the risk of gastric cancer remains unclear. In this study, we conducted a genotyping analysis for MLL3 in 314 cases of gastric cancer and 322 controls from the Chinese Han population. 4 SNPs (rs6943984, rs4725443, rs3800836, rs6464211) were selected for the present analysis. We found 2 SNPs (rs6943984, rs4725443) of MLL3 gene were significantly associated with the risk of gastric cancer : the rs6943984 with the minor allele A and rs4725443 with the minor allele C revealed strong associations with increased gastric cancer risk [P < 0.001, OR=1.97, 95% CI=1.48~2.64 and P <0.001, OR=2.23, 95% CI=1.54~3.24]. Haplotype analysis of the four SNPs showed that haplotype A-T-A-C, G-T-G-C, and G-C-A-C increased the risk of gastric cancer (P <0.001, P=0.18, and P<0.001, respectively), while haplotype G-T-A-C significantly reduced the risk of gastric cancer (P <0.001). We concluded that MLL3 variants are significantly associated with gastric cancer risk. Our results for the first time provided new insight into susceptibility factors of MLL3 gene variants in carcinogenesis of gastric cancer of the Chinese Han population.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate diabetic knowledge, self-care behaviors, and HbA1c of patients with diabetic mellitus in public hospitals. Methods: Participants were 287 adult patients who had been diagnosed with diabetes in two public hospitals in Seoul. Collected data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation with the SPSS (PASW) 21.0 program. Results: For general characteristics of the participants, there were significant differences in the level of diabetic knowledge according to age (F=11.28, p<.001), educational level (F=11.07, p<.001), type of health insurance (F=9.38, p<.001), and monthly income (t=-4.58, p<.001) and in the self-care behaviors according to age (F=8.61, p<.001) and in HbA1c according to age (F=6.72, p=.001). As for disease related characteristics of the participants, significant differences were found for self-care behaviors according to education about diabetes (t=3.90, p<.001) and in HbA1c according to education about diabetes (t=3.26, p=.001) and current diabetic therapy methods (F=13.51, p<.001). The study results showed that there was no correlation between diabetic knowledge and self-care behavior, or between self-care behavior and HbA1c. Conclusion: Results indicate that when developing preliminary data on nursing intervention education programs on diabetes, increasing diabetic knowledge and self-care behaviors would help to improve blood glucose levels.

This study evaluated the factors related to quality of life, job satisfaction and turnover intention of nurses attached to small and medium hospitals. From 24th June to 2nd August 2019, data were collected through a questionnaire from 360 nurses attached to H, G, S and C medical centers. Data were analyzed by applying the independent t-test, ANOVA, Spearman rho Correlation, and Multiple Linear Regression, using SPSS/WIN statistics 18.0. The factor that most significantly affected the quality of life of nurses in small and medium hospitals was support reason for self-efficacy (t=14.796, p<0.001), which accounted for 62.6% of the total factors. Factors that were significant to job satisfaction include support reason for quality of life (t=5.962, p<0.001) and turnover intention(t=-10.059, p<0.001), which account for 51.8% of the total. Moreover, 40.1% of significant factors that affect turnover intention were support reason for job satisfaction (t=-10.059, p<0.001), sex (t=2.049, p=0.041) and age (t=-2.207, p=0.028). In conclusion, this study confirms the need to improve the quality of life and job satisfaction of nurses attached to small and medium-sized hospitals, and lowering of turnover intention.

Purpose: This study was to identify the effect of the experience of diabetes education on knowledge, self-care behavior and glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1C). Further, this study was held to examine about patient's preferred methods of education and re-education frequency. Methods: 166 type 2 diabetes patients from two hospitals in Incheon participated in this study. Data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test and multiple regression analysis. Results: 72.3% patients needed re-education and the average interval of re-education was 8.53 months. Patients preferred education methods were lectures, practical training, and studying from pamphlet. Depending on the frequency of diabetes education, there were significant differences in the level of diabetes knowledge (F=10.88, p<.001) and self-care behaviors (F=4.59, p=.012), but there was not significant difference with HbA1C (F=1.53, p=.220). As to how much the diabetes education helped managing diabetes, there was a significant difference in the level of self-care behaviors (t=2.01, p=.049), but there were not significant differences in level of knowledge (t=1.10, p=.275) and HbA1C (t=-.33, p=.746). The experience of diabetes education was a significant factor which influenced patient's knowledge (t=3.93, p<.001) and self-care behaviors (t=2.21, p<.001). But HbA1C was not influenced by the experience of diabetes education (t=-1.68, p=.096). Conclusion: It is necessary to provide diabetes education with appropriate interval and methods and subjects that reflect the needs of patient through the study results.

This study is a descriptive research study to understand the effects of nurses' perception of the disabled, contact experience with the disabled, and human rights sensitivity on attitudes toward the disabled. The subjects of the study were 181 nurses working at two university hospitals in D City and one university hospital in C Special Self-Governing City. Data were collected from September 2, 2021 to October 6, 2021. The collected data wre analyzed using IBM SPSS 26.0 program, and analyzed with t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation Coefficients, and Multiple Regression Analysis. Factors affecting the subject's attitude toward people with disabilities were perception of people with disabilities(t=-3.96, p<.001), presence or absence of contact with patients with disabilities(t=3.23, p=.001), and the ability to perceive responsibility among human rights sensitivity(t=2.13, p=.035), whether or not they had completed education for improvement the awareness of the disabilities(t=2.90, p=.004), and whether they were recognized of the Act on the Right to Health and Medical Accessibility for the Disabled(t=2.44, p=.016), which showed 30% of explanatory power(F=9.36, p<.001). Accordingly, it is necessary to develop an educational program that can foster nurses' attitudes toward the disabled, including awareness of the disabled, human rights sensitivity, the Health Rights Act for the Disabled, and the experience of contact with the disabled.
The purpose of this study was to examine the changes of body composition and aging-related hormones by rhythmic exercise in elderly women. The subjects in this study were 20 olders living in a rural community, >60 years of age and were performed rhythmic exercise program during 12 weeks. The measurement of the body composition, body mass (t=3.125, p=.006), body mass index (t=3.225, p=0.004), body fat mass (t=3.782, p=0.001), waist-to-hip ratio (t=3.867, p=0.001) were significant difference after exercise program, but had no effect on lean body mass. Also, growth hormone (t=-2.221, p=0.039) and somatomedin-C (t=-9.186, p=0.000) were significantly increased after rhythmic exercise, however, rhythmic exercise had no effect on DHEA-S. These results suggest that rhythmic exercise appeared to effect of control on body composition and some aging-related hormones in elderly women.
