Today, the Korean fisheries is undergoing significant hardships, both domestically and internationally. While declining amount of catch, ascending international oil prices and others pose a compelling challenge to the fishing sector, the ever strengthening influence of international institutions related to fisheries and international trade organizations also compel to bring about myriad of changes in the realm of fishery products. Against the backdrop, this study attempted to examine the fisheries catch, aquaculture, service, processing fields in terms of its rippling effect and of how the industry has been changed by analyzing the past and present through an input-output analysis. As for research methods, 168 items of the input-output tables in 2000, 2005, 2009, and 2010 were integrated to form and classify 32 sectors (28 basic sectors + catch, aquaculture, fishery service, processed fishery products) so as to generate production inducement coefficient, sensitivity coefficient, and impact coefficient. The analysis results revealed that : though the linkage effect of fishery industry was not very sizable, the impact coefficient of the processed fishery products was high; the consumption and investment coefficient sector among production inducement coefficient was on an upturn trend ; the export coefficient was tended to decline. In the future research, it is necessary to carry out a study based on the integration of detailed classification (404 sector) and a study and analysis of fishery industry by different regions through the inter-regional input-output tables. The fishery industry is one of the crucial industries in Korea. The fishery industry is not only important in its own right but also significant as it exerts influence over other industries. Therefore, it is required that there should be more investment and supports for the development of the fishery industry, and pay efforts to ensure that the investment and development could lead to mutual growth for both the fishery and other various industries.
This research was as part of restocking project conducted until 1986. The necessity of its economic and scientific verification on restocking project increased. The economic analysis of this project was intended to measure its effectiveness of rockfish restocking throughout certain water areas. The rockfish restocking in 2008 was carried two regional governments of Gyeongnam and Busan. 3-year average annualized performance is 3.76 million rockfish restocked and 940 million won invested. As Gyeongnam restocked 3.62 million rockfish and invested 890 million won, most of rockfish stocking accomplished in Gyeongnam. The public shipment was the 3-year average amount was about 400 tons. Each Suhyup shipment as follows; TongYong 66.6 tons, Namhae 23.6 tons, Samcheonpo 17.2 tons; Yeosu 13.3 tons, Geoje 4.7 tons, Goseong 3.1 tons, Hadong 1.0 tons. The private shipment was assessed by the interview of relevant market participations. The high percent areas of public ship were Nemaha, Goseong 90% and Geoje 80% or more. Hadong and Samcheonpo were about 50%. TongYong was 10% and the lowest. The private shipment was calculated using the percentage of private shipment surveyed. The total amount of private shipment was 4.8 billion, where 4.5 billion was TongYong, where most of private shipment is being made. The positive economic benefit occurred when the percent of restocked is over 15% in the overall catch. The percentage of restocked investigated with genetic test was 58.2%. With 58.2% ratio of restocked, there was 3.8 times economic benefit according to approximately 3.6 billion won. Economic effects were highly significant. As catch increased according restocking, joint market commission increased. Joint market commission was calculated as total restocked shipment multiplied by the ratio of commission, the calculated commissions were as follows; Hadong 5.0%, Geoje 4.8%, Goseong 4.8%, Namhae 4.8%, Samcheonpo 4.3%, Yeosu 4.3%, TongYong 4.0%. According to calculation results, annual commission fee of ₩60,000,000 was raised during 2006~2008. The fishing catch bulk for entertainment significantly increased in sea area carried with mass restock.
Based on a time series of ocean climate indices and catch records for seven pelagic fish species in the Tsushima Warm Current (TWC) and Kuroshio-Oyashio Current (KOC) regions from 1910 to 2004, we detected regional synchrony in the long-term fluctuations of the fish populations and identified alternation patterns of dominant species related to climate shifts. The annual catches of Pacific herring, Japanese sardines, Japanese anchovies, jack mackerel, chub mackerel, Pacific saury and common squid in the TWC region fluctuated in phase with those in the KOC region, which suggests that they were controlled by the same basin-wide climate forcing. After the collapse of the herring fishery, the alternation sequence was: sardines (1930s), Pacific saury, jack mackerel, common squid and anchovies ($1950s{\sim}1960s$), herring ($late\;1960s{\sim}early\;1970s$), chub mackerel (1970s) and then sardines (1980s). As sardine biomass decreased in the late stages of the cool regime, catch of the other four species increased immediately during the warm period of the 1990s. Regional differences in the amplitude of long-term catch fluctuations for the seven pelagic fishes could be explained by regional differences in availability, fishing techniques and activity.
With the advance of ICT, understanding the condition of network and analysing network monitoring have become an important issue. On the TCP/IP network, SNMP is the typical protocol that catches the condition of network by using polling method. If polling method is implemented for a long period, to catch the change of the condition of the network is not easy. On the other hand, in case of short-term polling, even if it could catch the condition of the network in real time, responsive messages to results of the polling cause the increase of traffic and therefore burden the network. There have been studies to control the overhead of responsive messages by controlling the polling period. However, not considering the characteristics of an agent, and running randomly, they cannot decrease the overhead although they would have an instant effect. This paper suggests an efficient polling method that decreases the traffic overhead of polling and catches the condition of the network in real time. Proposed method an polling for a short period and gave weight based on the characteristics of agents to catch the network condition, and a manager decided polling differentially based on the weight so that it decreased the overhead of polling traffic.
Cameroon is a country in Western Africa with 16 million inhabitants. Located between Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea, the country is bordered by the Bight of Biafra. It has a 402 km long coastline. It covers an area of about 475,440 sq km. Cameroon obtains its fish supply from five distinct sources notably-small scale maritime Fisheries, inland fisheries, industrial fisheries, aquaculture and importation. Despite its enormous potential, Cameroon produces only 180,000 metric tons fish annually. The total artisanal annual catch is estimated to be 55,000 t of which bonga/Sardinella, white shrimp and demersal fish contribute 58%, 27% and 15% respectively. The industrial fleet expanded rapidly during the sixties and by 1973 there were 29 trawlers and 13 shrimpers which landed a total of about 17,600 t of fish and shrimp. The total catch of the industrial fisheries peaked at about 20,400 t in 1976 and since then catches have generally declined. The per capita fish consumption in Cameroon stands at about 17.9 kg per inhabitant per year. This means that the demand of fish in Cameroon stands at about 280,000 tons. There is a deficit of in fish supply for which the government always resort to massive importation of fish products to meet the local demand. The main fish product for export from Cameroon is the prawn (Panacus duorarum). The main export market of Cameroon's prawn is the European Union (EU). Between 1998 and 2003, Cameroon's export value has been on the decline, dropping from 1,836 metric tons of prawns for a value of 264 millions USD in 1998 to 51 tonnes, for an estimated value of 315,000 USD in 2003. This drastic drop in exportation is consequential to Cameroon's auto suspension from the exportation of prawns towards the EU as a result of non compliance with EU standards. Today, a good quantity of the catches is being exported illicitly through neighbouring countries.

Fossil fuel combustion during fishing activities is a major contributor to climate changes in the fishing industry. The Tier1 methodology calculation and on-site continuous measurements of the greenhouse gas were carried out through the use of fuel by the coastal and offshore gillnet (blue crabs and yellow croaker) and trap (small octopus and red snow crab) fishing boats in Korea. The emission comparison results showed that the field measurements are similar to or slightly higher than the Tier1 estimates for coastal gillnet and trap. In offshore gillnet and trap fisheries, Tier1 estimate of greenhouse gases was about $1,644-13,875kg\;CO_2/L$, which was more than the field measurement value. The $CO_2$ emissions factor based on the fuel usage was $2.49-3.2kg\;CO_2/L$ for coastal fisheries and $1.46-2.24kg\;CO_2/L$ for offshore fisheries. Furthermore, GHG emissions per unit catch and the ratio of field measurement and Tier1 emission estimate were investigated. Since the total catch of coastal fish was relatively small, the emission per unit catch in coastal fisheries was four to eight times larger. The results of this study could be used to determine the baseline data for responding to changes in fisheries environment and reducing greenhouse gas emission.

The catch canal for a natural drainage, the excavation of tunnel for a stable irrigation, the artifical channelization of yazoo stream, many kinds of the pumping and drainage systems are found around Daedong-myeon, Gimhae-si. It could be confirmed that the deveolpment, maintenance and management of those facilities in the floodplain are mainly controlled by the geomorphological conditions. In case of Unha-chon, especially, the water can always be supplied only by openning the gate of irrigation tunnel and the Woldang pumping station as the largest pumping station in this area can supply water to Unha-chon area directly from the main river, Nakdong-gang. Because the Gamnae-chon which was an upper reach of the Unha-chon and is now connected to the Nakdong-gang through the Deoksan catch canal, the damage of flood and the burden of drainage are mitigated at the lower area of the Unha-chon.
Korea started the Atlantic tuna fishery from 1964 by means of longline, then added bait-boats in 1972. Both fisheries have given the top priority to catch yellowfin tuna(Thunnus albacares). The paper reviews available catch, effort and biological data, estimates some population parameters in order to understand the status of the Atlantic yellowfin tuna as a whole. The main findings are summarized as follows: 1. The total of 476 million hook-equivalent fishing effort was thrown to catch yellowfin tuna in 1974, among which one thired was shared by longliners. 2. The dominant age group becomes younger in both surface and longline fisheries. 3. The recent mortality coefficients were calculated as 1.5 for total mortality and 0.7 for fishing mortality. 4. The weight at recruitment was 2.7 kg in 1973 which was smaller than the regulation size(3.2kg) proposed by ICCAT. 5. The maximum sustained yield was calculated to 95-145 thousand metric tons, which was the level of recent catch. Therefore, it is apparent that the present yellowfin tuna fishery should continue to receive close attention.

This study analyzed annual catch trend during 45 years and monthly catch of the least 10 years (2005~2014) for chub mackerel caught in the Korean coastal waters. To determine fishing status of chub mackerel, fork length measurements were conducted at least twice every week for 100 individuals randomly selected at the Busan Cooperative Fish Market from January of 2012 to December of 2014; and biological characteristics and proximate composition (moisture, protein, fat, ash) were analyzed by length class (I~IV) on a monthly basis from January to December of 2014. Monthly catch trend showed low level below 5,000 mt from February to July, whereas high level above 15,000 mt from October to December. For the period between 2012 and 2014, annual average catch proportion of juvenile were relatively high at 68.1%, 53.1% and 53.2% from January to April, before spawning season, while those were low at 21.5%, 20.7% and 29.12% from June to November. As for the change in the proximate composition per 100 g of muscle, protein and ash did not change much by seasons and length class, whereas fat and moisture contents showed large fluctuations and complementary relationship between the two factors. Regardless of length class, monthly average fat content, containing Omega-3, showed the lowest at 7.18 g in April and highest at 19.27 g in December, which exhibited 2.6 times difference from one another. Regardless of fishing seasons, fat content by length class were 19.06 g for the class I and 6.43 g for the class IV, which showed three times difference. Fat contents of the class I were high at 26.97 g and 27.19 g in November and December, while low at 8.37 g and 9.99 g in April and May. Especially, fat contents from January to May were 5.0 g, which was the lowest. Therefore, it is expected that consumer could indirectly contribute fisheries management through their understanding and wise consumption based on fishing status and fluctuation of proximate composition.
This study was conducted to compare the quality among commercial boiled-dried anchovies caught by different methods. Regardless of catch methods, the moisture, salinity and acid-insoluble ash contents of commercial boiled-dried anchovies ranged from $23.2-25.2\%,\;6.8-7.4\%$. and $0.32-0.46\%$, respectively. By sensory evaluation, these anchovies were less than $5\%$ in break-age, whitish or yellowish in color and had a foul smell. Judging from the above results and Korean Standards (KS) for foods, these anchovies were classified into special grade. There was no difference in total amino acid content. While, in a major mineral content, boiled-dried anchovy caught by set net (BA-SN) was the highest, and those caught by lift net (BA-LN) and tow net (BA-TN) followed in order. The lipid oxidation progressed at the slowest rate in the BA-SN, and then no difference in the lipid oxidation was found between the BA-LN and BA-TN. Judging from the results of chemical analysis and sensory evaluation, the BA-TN was the worst quality among the commercial boiled-dried anchovies. No difference in quality was found between the BA-LN and the BA-SN.
