  • This paper presents an experimentally investigation pertinent to the mechanical properties of rubberized mortar (RM) with styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR). The SBR were used with constant water-to-cement ratio of 0.485 and two different volume proportion of SBR particles were utilized as aggregates. One types of SBR particles with fineness modulus of 4.951 were utilized 0%, 10%, and 20% of aggregate volume. Effectiveness of SBR replacement ratio, curing and aging effect on the compressive strength, flexural strengths as well as load-displacement. Compressive and flexural strength of concrete were investigated at the end of 28-days and 56-days age. Obtained results demonstrated that utilization of SBR reduced the flexural strength of SBR mortar at the earlier curing age while SBR increased. Moreover, mechanical properties of mortar mentioned above were significantly affected by the water cure timing with an increasing proportion of the replacement level of SBR.

  • Low molecular weight liquid butadiene rubber (LqBR) is a processing aid that can resolve the migration problem of tire tread compounds. Various studies are being conducted to replace the petroleum-based processing oil with LqBR. However, the effect of the loading time of LqBR in the compounding process on silica dispersion and vulcanizate properties is not well known. In this study, we analyzed silica dispersion, vulcanizate properties, and viscoelastic properties of silica-filled tire tread compound according to the processing aid type (TDAE oil, non-functional LqBR) and, silane terminated LqBR) and input timing. In the non-functional LqBR compounds, the 'with TESPT' mixing procedure showed excellent dynamic viscoelastic properties while silane-terminated LqBR compounds showed that the 'after TESPT' mixing procedure was good for 300% modulus and abrasion resistance.

  • Recently, there has been a significant focus on the development of flexible and stretchable sensors, driven by advancements in electronic devices and the robotics industry. Among these sensors, tactile sensors stand out as the most actively researched, playing a crucial role in facilitating interaction between humans and electronic devices, particularly in robotics and medical applications. This study specifically involves the manufacturing of a capacitive tactile sensor using a relatively straightforward process and sensor structure. Natural rubber and Nitrile butadiene rubber, commonly employed in the rubber industry, were utilized. The dielectric material in the manufactured tactile sensor possesses a porous structure. Notably, the resulting tactile sensor demonstrated excellent sensitivity, approximately 1%/kPa, and exhibited the capability to detect pressures up to 212 kPa.

  • Formation of bound rubber depends on the filler-polymer interactions including physical adsorption, chemisorption, and mechanical interaction. Bound rubbers consist of tightly and loosely bound ones. Styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) is composed of styrene, 1,2-, cis-1,4-, and trans-1,4-units. Filler-polymer interactions of each components of SBR with fillers, carbon black and silica, were studied by analysis of microstructure of the bound rubber. Filler-polymer interaction of the 1,2-unit with the fillers was found to be stronger than those of the other components and this phenomenon was shown more clearly in the tightly bound rubber.

  • Reaction of propane-1, 3-sultone with amines gave N-substituted aminosulphonnic acids 2a-i, Dehydration of 2a-c with $POCI_3$ gave the corresponding sultams 3a-c. Propane-1, 3-sultone 1 reacted with tertury amines to give the betaiene salts 4-11. 2-4-Dimethyl-1, 3-butadiene-1, 4-sultone 12 condensed with amines to give N-substituted-2, 4-dimethyl-1, 3-butadiene-1, 4-sultames 13a and 13b. The reaction of 3a, 13a with hydrazine hydrate gave acid hydrazides 3d or 13c. Compounds 3d, 13c reacted with isocyanates to yield urea derivatives 14a-c, 15a-c.

  • 본 연구에서는 열가소성고무를 중심으로 한 스티렌 공중합체의 유변학적 특성을 Couette 보정치를 사용하여 해석하였다. 실험재료로는 SBS(Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene), SEBS(Styrene-Ethylene/Buthylene-Styrene), SIS(Styrene-Isoprene-Styrene)을 사용하였고 탄성체의 성격을 비교하기 위하여SBS(Styrene-Butadiene Rubber)와 IR(Isoprene Rubber)를 사용하였다, 실험결과 Couette 보정치는 온도가 증가할수록 감소하였다.

  • The influences of carbon black loading and cure type on the cure characteristics including kinetics and dynamic mechanical properties were investigated for a styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR). The rate constants of accelerated sulfur vulcanization reaction at three different temperatures were determined using a cure rheometer, and they were compared with those from the direct measurement of sulfur concentration. The strain softening behavior under dynamic deformation, known as the Payne effect was also discussed depending on the carbon black loading and cure type.

The carbon fiber reinforced fly ash.cement composites using early strength cement, silica powder and a small amount of stylene butadiene rubber latex are prepared with carbon fiber, foaming agents and mixing conditions. As a result, the mechanical and plysical properties such as compresive, tensile and flectural strengths, watertightness and cement composites are improved by using a small amount of stylene butadiene rubber latex.

  • Thermal cycloaddition of t-butyl trimethylsilyl thioketone (1) with 2-substituted dienes such as isoprene and 2-trimethylsilyloxy-1,3-butadiene occurred smoothly at 80${\circ}C$ to afford regioiomeric mixtures of cycloadducts. On the other hand, similar treatment of 1 with 1-substituted dienes such as trans-1,3-pentadiene, 1-methoxy-and 1-acetoxy-1,3-butadiene and Danishefsky's diene afforded a single regioisomeric adduct, respectively. Protodesilylation of the silylated adducts 8 and 11 could also be performed with ease.
