A Study on Building Web Services for Implementing Real Time Enterprise

  • To transform the enterprise system into the 'Real Time Enterprise' with respect to IT, I suggest the conceptual application model which is composed of pieces(components) extracted from different packaged applications working in a heterogeneous environment based on the 'business activity' in other words, business services provided by internal (inter-enterprise) and external (extended enterprise) application to support a business activity within in an enterprise and the design mechanism focusing service tier which acts as intermediate tier within application architecture.

  • In this paper, we demonstrate the implementation case using component based development tool under development process for application developments. The tool suggested provides the programming environment for the development of distributed manufacturing applications primarily. The development tool is classified into visual component, logic component, data component, knowledge component, neural net component, and service component which is a core component for the support component edit and execution. We applied the tool to the domain of the design and routing plan to retrieve existing similar design models in database, initiate a model, generate a process plan, and store the new model in the database automatically. Utilizing the tool, it integrates a geometric modeler, engineering/manufacturing database, and knowledge sources over the Internet.

컴포넌트 워크플로우 가변성의 정형 명세 및 모델링 기법 (Formal Specification and Modeling Techniques of Component Workflow Variability)

  • 컴포넌트는 소프트웨어 개발의 복잡성을 감소시키는 효과적인 방법으로 평가되고 있다. 그러나 소프트웨어 개발 시 컴포넌트를 사용하여 기간 단축과 비용 절감 효과를 얻기 위해서는 컴포넌트의 재사용성이 향상되어야 한다. 업무 단위로 컴포넌트를 설계하여 컴포넌트 안에 업무 워크플로우를 포함하는 것은 컴포넌트의 재사용성을 향상시키는 효과적인 방법이다. 워크플로우가 내장된 컴포넌트는 업무 단위로 재사용되기 때문에 개발 기간 단축과 비용 절감 효과가 크다. 몇 몇 컴포넌트 방법론에서 워크플로우를 내장한 컴포넌트 설계 기법의 필요성을 제시했다. 그러나 컴포넌트 개발에 적용하기 위해서는 좀 더 실용적이고 구체적인 기법이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 컴포넌트를 통한 워크플로우의 재사용을 위해 패밀리 멤버간의 가변적인 워크플로우를 컴포넌트에 내장하여 재사용성을 높이는 기법을 제안한다. 제시된 기법은 워크플로우와 워크플로우 가변성에 대한 정형명세를 통해 복잡한 워크플로우의 설계를 단순화한다. 또한 정형 명세를 통해 워크플로우 가변성 간의 불일치를 해결하고 가변성의 결합도를 낮춘다. 정형 명세와 UML을 사용한 컴포넌트 모델링의 산출물은 컴포넌트 구현 소스 코드를 자동으로 생성하는 것을 돕는다. 따라서 제시된 설계 기법은 개발자의 생산성을 높이고 컴포넌트의 재사용성을 향상시킨다. 본 논문에서는 설계 기법과 함께 예제를 통해 컴포넌트 워크플로우 명세와 설계 기법의 타당성을 입증한다.

  • 컨포넌트 개발 프로세스에서 재사용 가능한 독립적인 컴포넌트의 식별은 가장 중요한 작업이면서 어려운 작업이다. 따라서 현존하는 컴포넌트 개발 방법론들에서는 컴포넌트 식별을 위해서 체계적이고 명확한 기준이 제시되지 않아 대다수 개발자의 직관과 경험에 의존하고 있다. 그 결과 평이한 개발자에 의해서 소프트웨어의 재사용 단위인 컴포넌트를 식별하기가 쉽지 않다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 컴포넌트를 용이하게 식별할 수 있도록 유스케이스 다이어그램, 클래스 다이어그램 그리고 시퀀스 다이어그램 등 도메인 모델을 기반으로 컨포넌트를 식별하는 기준과 방법을 제시한다. 본 논문에서는 2단계 즉, 시스템 컨포넌트 식별과 비즈니스 컴포넌트 식별을 통하여 컴포넌트론 식별하는 방법을 제시한다. 특히, 제안된 기법에서는 컴포넌트 식별에 있어서 구조적 특성뿐만 아니라 메소드 호출 유형과 방향에 따른 의존성 특성을 함께 괴려하고 있다 이러한 제안된 기법의 실용성을 검증하기 위해 사례 연구와 기존 식별 방법과의 비교 분석 및 평가를 제시한다.

  • Business process in e-government mostly embody as the flow of documents. Constructing a web-based document flow system becomes an critical task for today s digital government. But few of them use an off-the-shelf workflow product. Why? One of the reasons is that most of the workflow system are heavyweight, monolithic, and package a comprehensive set of features in an all-or-nothing manner. Another reason is that workflow technology lacks the constructs and modeling capability as programming language. It is incumbent on government IT organizations to transform their solution development to component-based computing model. Component technology isolates the computation and communication parts, but how to compose different software components is still a hard nut. An integrated development environment is necessary for CBSD. In this paper we propose a XML and component-based document flow-oriented integrated development environment (DFoIDE) for software developers. By writing some xml configure file, and operate on DFoIDE, developer can construct a workflow application quickly. This method divides system to several components and the activities in process are implemented as business component. Different components are discribed detailedly in this paper, especially one of the core component. Component Integrating Tool. Different perspectives in workflow application are seperated and depicted as different XML files. Correspondly, A component composition method for developing workflow application instead of workflow itself is proposed.

공급사슬 협업을 위한 참조모델 기반의 프레임워크 (A Reference Model Based Framework for Supply Chain Collaboration)

  • The focus of enterprise collaboration of supply chain management, has changed from integrating and exchanging business information to integrating and managing business processes between business partners. However, the collaboration is difficult due to the inherent complexity such as diverse business processes and dynamic business environments. To settle these problems, a reference model based enterprise architecture framework for the collaboration of supply chains is proposed in this paper. The supply chain collaboration framework is composed of three reference models capturing the different views of supply chain collaboration: supply process reference model, service component reference model, and technology and standard reference model. As the framework adapts the OMG's metadata architecture, the processes in the supply chain can be extended and integrated with other value chains, such as design chains, when it is necessary. Using the proposed framework, business managers can rapidly integrate and manage their business processes with their suppliers and customers.

  • A business model (BM) can be developed based on a business model framework (BMF) consisting of key components such as value proposition, customers, and resources. To systematically generate and analyze emerging BMs such as healthcare BM, an integration of diverse BMF components is needed. The present study is to establish a comprehensive BMF and evaluate its applicability to healthcare BMs. Based on a review of eight BMF studies, ten BMF components were identified and classified into five major components (value proposition, resources, organizing model, customers, and revenue model) and five minor components (technology, service platform, delivery, competitive strategy, and growth/exit) by analyses of frequency and functional importance. Lastly, the BMs of three emerging healthcare companies (WellDoc, Inc., CFW Shops, and Aravind Eye Care System) were analyzed and compared in terms of the proposed BMF components. The comprehensive BMF components presented in the study can be of help for developing new BMs and analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of BMs.

  • Business processes are often of long duration, and include internal worker's decision making, which makes business processes to be exposed to many exceptional situations. These properties of business processes makes it difficult to guarantee successful termination of business processes at the design phase. The behavioral properties of business processes mainly depends on the data aspects of business processes. To formalize the data aspect of process modeling, this paper proposes a graph-based model, called Data Dependency Graph (DDG), constructed from dependency relationships specified between business data. The paper also defines a mechanism of describing a set of mapping rules that generates a process model semantically equivalent to a DDG, which is accomplished by allocating data dependencies to component activities.
