Propagation Characteristics of GIS PD Signals by Dual UHF Band Method (2)

  • It is widely known that the ultra high frequency (UHF) method that detects the electromagnetic wave of the PD pulses in the gas insulated space is one of the most competitive methods for its high sensitivity. From the above point of view, this paper describes the propagation characteristics of GIS PD signals measured with ultra wide band (UWB) GIS PD detecting system in which PD signals are detected into the dual UHF band. The UWB PD detection system consists of the UWB UHF coupler, the UWB low noise amplifier (LNA) and the oscilloscope. The dual bands for PD signals are 0.5-2GHz(full band) and 1-2GHz(high band). As results, propagation characteristics of GIS PD signals were measured in the mock-up GIS bus and it was found that the propagation characteristics of the high band showed a better result in accordance with the infernal configuration of the GIS bus than those of the full band.

  • Applying digital network technology for advanced nuclear plant requires deterministic communication for tight safety requirements, timely and reliable data delivery for operation-critical and mission-critical characteristics of nuclear plant. Communication protocols, such as IEEE 802/4 Token Bus, IEEE 802/5 Token Ring, FDDI, and ARCnet, which have deterministic communication capability are partially applied to several nuclear power plants. Although digital communication technologies have many advantages, it is necessary to consider the noise immunity from electromagnetic interference (EMI), electrical interference, impulse noise, and heat noise before selecting specific digital network technology for nuclear plant. In this paper, we consider the token frame loss and data frame loss rate due to the link error event, frame size, and link data rate in different protocols, and evaluate the possibility of failure to meet the hard real-time requirement in nuclear plant.

  • As the data rate between chip-to-chip gets high, the skin effect and load of pins deteriorate noise margin. With these, noise disturbances on the bus channel make it difficult for receiver circuits to read the data signal. This paper has proposed a new pre-emphasis driver circuit which achieves wide noise margin by enlarging the signal voltage range during data transition. When data is transferred from a memory chip to a controller, the output boltage of the driver circuit reaches the final values through the intermediate voltage level. The proposed driver supplies more currents applicable to a packet-based memory system, because it needs no additional control signal and realizes very small area. The circuit has been designed in a 0.18 ${\mu}m$ CMOS process, and HSPICE simulation results have shown that the data rate of 1.32 Gbps be achieved. Due to its result, the proposed driver can achieved higher speed than conventional driver by 10%.

  • In this paper, we proposed a high frequency equivalent circuit considering parasitic impedance components for differential noise analysis on the input stage during DC-DC buck converter switching operation. Based on the proposed equivalent circuit model, we presented a method to measure parasitic impedance parameters included in DC bus plate, IGBT, and PCB track using the gain phase method of a network analyzer. In order to verify the validity of this model, a DC-DC prototype consisting of a buck converter, a signal analyzer, and a LISN device, and then resonance frequency was measured in the frequency range between 150 kHz and 30 MHz. The validity of the parasitic impedance measurement method and the proposed equivalent model is verified by deriving that the measured resonance frequency and the resonance frequency of the proposed high frequency equivalent model are the same.

도로교통 소음지도 작성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Making of the Noise Map for Traffic Noise Level)

  • This research helps you understand the road traffic noise levels by using a noise map. We have observed the change of the road traffic noise levels around $07:00{\sim}08:30\;and\;22:00{\sim}23:00$ using the noise map in the city. The road traffic noise level is very high both at noon and at night around a beltway and an interchange that is linked with a highway. It seems that the main route of so many vehicles, which are at neighboring cities such as N city and D and H districts and which avoid traffic jams in the city, is the beltway and interchange. The road traffic noise level of a nearby express bus terminal, railroad station, and airport is more than 75 dB at noon and 65 dB at night. The road traffic noise level of G city at night is observed to be more than 55 dB. The noise levels of a residence area and a university are higher than a road with high noise levels when the commuters drive to work. The end of the day exceeds 11 o'clock because of a culture level of development that arouses spare time, eating out, adults' drinking culture, nightlife of the youth, etc. Therefore, the road traffic noise level is high during late night hours, and it exceeds regulatory guidelines(55 dB(A)). It also damages the residence area that is located near the road.

CPX 및 Pass-by 계측을 이용한 단독 주행 차량의 음향파워 평가 방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation Method of Sound Power for a Travelling Vehicle Using CPX and Pass-by Measurements)

  • This paper presents a novel method to determine sound power level(PWL) emitted by a travelling vehicle for road traffic noise simulation. The PWL is evaluated by the equivalent sound pressure level (SPL) measured by close proximity method and the sound power correction factor derived from the maximum SPL measured by pass-by method and the propagation attenuation of vehicle noise during the pass-by measurement. Using the method, we derive the empirical formula for PWL estimation in 1/1-octave and overall frequency bands for 8 vehicles (automobile, SUV, small truck, large bus, trailer, 3 dump trucks) tested at two road surfaces (dense graded asphalt, 30mm transverse tinning concrete) of Korean highway test road. The suggested approach, if securing sufficient data to represent the acoustic characteristics of all vehicle types, has il strong merit to be able to evaluate sound power levels for any combination of vehicle categories and traffic volumes.

AVB 기반의 버스안전용 멀티뷰어의 FPGA 카메라모듈 설계 (Design of FPGA Camera Module with AVB based Multi-viewer for Bus-safety)

  • 본 논문에서는 버스안전을 위한 다중 HD 카메라 기반의 IP통신망 AVB(Audio Video Bridge) 이더넷 케이블을 연동한 FPGA(Xilinx Zynq702)로 멀티뷰어 플랫폼을 제안하였다. 이러한 AVB(IEEE802.1BA) 시스템은 차량용 네트워크에서 다중 HD 비디오와 오디오 디지털 신호의 실시간 전송이 가능하다. 제안한 멀티뷰어 플랫폼은 기존 이더넷 케이블 1Gbps전송과 2-선 100Mbps 스트림 전송방식을 통해 4개의 초광각 HD 카메라로 부터 H.264 비디오 신호를 다중화하기 위한 지연속도의 개선을 위해 FPGA로 설계하였다. 아울러, 차량용 HD 동영상 전송망에서 시간지연을 최소화하기 위한 AVB 플랫폼은 Zynq 702기반의 H.264 AVC 저지연 코덱의 설계 방안을 제안하였다. 이러한 H.264 AVC 코덱의 부호화/복호화 결과확인을 위해 JM 모델을 참조한 PSNR(Peak Signal-to-noise-ratio)을 분석하였다. 설계한 Zynq 702기반의 H.264 AVC CODEC은 다중 HD 카메라의 다중뷰어 동영상 손실 압축에서 화질 손실에 대한 PSNR은 이론 값과 유사한 HW 결과 값을 확인하였다. 이로서 제안한 AVB기반의 다중 HD 카메라 연동형 멀티뷰어 플랫폼은 H.264 AVC CODEC의 저지연 특성이 차량용 특성에 만족함으로서 버스안전을 위한 주변의 오디오와 비디오 영상감시가 가능할 것이다.

  • 본 논문에서는 파워 아일랜드(power island)에서 발생되는 잡음 전달을 개선하는 방법에 대해서 연구하였다. 일반적으로 파워 아일랜드는 각 파워 버스(power bus)의 구조적 공진에 의해 잡음 전달이 증가하는 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 두 가지의 잡음 전달 개선 방법을 제시하였다. 첫 번째로 잡음원의 위치를 변화시킴으로서 구조적 공진을 억제하였다. 두 번째로 공진이 발생할 경우 잡음 전달을 감소시키기 위해서 EGI(Elevated Ground Island)를 제안하였다. 해석결과, 잡음원의 위치에 따라 파워 버스의 공진을 최소로 감소시켰으며, EGI를 이용하여 잡음 전달을 효과적으로 감소할 수 있었다.

교통운영에 따른 도로변 공동주택의 도로교통소음 변화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Change of Road Traffic Noise at the Roadside Apartments according to the Traffic Management)

  • 우리나라는 1970년대 이후 시행된 도시계획사업을 통해 도시지역에 대규모 주택단지 및 주거지역이 나타나기 시작하였다. 그리고 개발된 지역에서는 공동주택의 비율이 점차 증가하는 경향이 나타나면서 도로변공동주택의 도로교통소음이 새로운 문제로 대두되었다. 그리고 1980년대 후반이후 공동주택은 15층에 머물던 공동주택은 20-30층의 초고층의 형태로 변모하였고, 최근에는 40층 이상의 공동주택이 등장하면서 도시지역의 주거밀도는 더욱 고밀화 되면서 이로 인하여 도로교통소음은 더욱 증가하게 되었다. 이에 본 연구는 도로변에 위치한 공동주택에 영향을 주는 인자 중 교통량, 통과속도를 변수로 하여 소음지도를 구축하여 저감효율에 대해 살펴보았다. 결과는 교통량과 속도제한의 증감에 따른 변화는 한정된 공간에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으며, 버스중앙차로제는 도로변에 약간의 영향만을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
