드론 기술을 이용한 부력 조형물의 자세 제어 (Posture control of buoyancy sculptures using drone technology)

  • The floating sculptures in the form of ad-ballon commonly used ropes in order to hold on. Relatively air flow is much less indoor than outdoor. Users of buoyancy sculptures hope to be able to maintain their desired posture without being fixed. This study applied drone technology to buoyancy sculptures. The drones can be moved vertically and horizontally, and the posture can be maintained, so buoyancy sculptures are easy to apply. Therefore, we have studied the control system of buoyancy sculpture using drone technology. Also, a control system that can maintain the desired posture at a constant height was studied. The overall shape was a light fiber material and helium gas for zero buoyancy to support the sculpture. The system configuration was STM32F103CB from ARM. In addition, the gyro and acceleration, geomagnetic sensors and motors are composed of small and medium size BLDC motors. The scheduling of the control system in the configuration of the control device was carefully considered. Because the role of the whole component becomes very important. The communication between the components is divided into the sensor fusion and the interface communication with the whole controller. Each communication technology is designed to expand. This study was implemented to actively respond from the viewpoint of posture control using the drone technology.

Sprite Animation Based Fire Effects Using Spark Textures and Artificial Buoyancy Field

  • In this paper, we propose an image-based synthesis method that can effectively represent the spark effect in fire simulation. We use the real flame image or animated image as inputs and perform the following steps : 1) extract feature vectors from the image, 2) calculate artificial buoyancy, and 3) generate and advect spark textures. We detect the edge from images and then calculate the feature vectors to calculate the buoyancy. In the next step, we compute the high-quality buoyancy vector field by integrating the two-dimensional feature vector and the fluid equation. Finally, the spark texture is advect by buoyancy field. As a result, our method is performed much faster than the previous approach and high-quality results can be obtained easily and stably.

부력 프리플랙션 효과가 콘크리트 부유구조체의 구조성능에 미치는 영향에 대한 해석적 연구 (Analytical Study on Buoyancy Preflexion Effects on Structural Performance of Concrete Floating Structure)

  • 본 연구에서는 콘크리트 부유구조체의 구조성능을 향상시키기 위한 부력 프리플랙션 효과에 대한 해석적 연구를 수행하였다. 부력 프리플랙션은 부유구조체를 구성하는 모듈들의 부분적 부력차이에 의해 부유구조체에 프리플랙션 효과가 도입되는 것을 뜻한다. 부력 프리프랙션 효과를 검증하기 위해, 실제 설계에서 도출된 콘크리트 부유구조체 단면을 바탕으로 전체 부유구조체 길이에서 부력 부리플랙션 효과를 발생시키는 변단면 중앙부의 길이 비를 매개변수로 설정한 해석적 연구를 수행하였다. 해석결과는 부력 프리플랙션에 의해 도입되는 콘크리트 부유구조체의 하부 슬래브 응력상태와 부상 변위량에 대해, 이를 부력 프리플랙션과 활하중의 하중단계별로 분석하여 부력 프리플랙션 효과가 콘크리트 부유구조체의 구조성능에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 연구결과, 전체 부유구조체 길이에 대한 중앙부 모듈의 길이 비가 작은 경우에도 상대적으로 큰 부력 프리플랙션 효과가 발생되는 것으로 나타났다. 부력 프리플랙션 효과는 중앙부 모듈의 길이 비에 따라 포물선의 형태를 나타내며, 중앙부 모듈의 길이 비 40~60%에서 최대의 효과가 도입되는 것으로 나타났다. 인접한 모듈들의 부력차이를 이용하는 부력 프리플랙션은 원리가 간단하여 적용이 간편하고, 부유구조체의 하부 슬래브에 효율적으로 사전 압축응력을 도입시킬 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 부유구조체의 하중지지능력 향상을 가져와 콘크리트 부유구조체의 구조성능 향상과 단면높이 슬림화에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

부력가방의 익사사고 저감성능 분석 (Performance Analysis on the Reduction of Drowning Accident Using Buoyancy Bag)

  • 본 연구는 부력가방의 익사사고 저감성능 분석에 관한 연구로서, 시민들은 레저 활동 및 물놀이 활동 시 부주의로 인하여 익사사고가 발생할 경우 119구조대나 타인의 구조활동만으로는 사고자 생존율이 저조하다고 할 수 있다. 이에 따라 수상 전문가들은 부력제품을 활용하여 익사사고를 줄이고, 시민은 일상용 휴대가방에 안전관리 기능을 추가한 부력가방을 평상시에 차량안이나 개인이 직접 휴대함으로써 본인의 생명과 위급한 상황에 봉착한 타인을 신속하게 구조할 수 있는 구명용 도구로 활용할 수 있도록 하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 개발된 부력가방은 편리성 안전성 지속성의 3가지 방재특성을 지니고 있으며, 서류 물품 등을 보관하는 편리성, 성인 1명 기준인 90 kg 무게를 띄울 수 있는 부력재를 내피 분산방식으로 처리한 안전성, 그리고 방수원단 및 방수지퍼 사용으로 장시간 안전을 유지하는 지속성 등을 갖춘 제품이다. 성능분석 결과 부력가방이 다른 구조장비와 비교해도 현장 간접 구조장비로 사용하는데 아무런 문제점이 없다는 것을 알 수 있었으며 부력성능과 디자인적인 측면만 더 보완하면 국민의 귀중한 생명을 보호하는데 많은 기여를 할 수 있을 것이다.

부력엔진 독립시험 모듈 해양공학수조 시험 (Buoyancy Engine Independent Test Module Test in the Ocean Engineering Basin)

  • The Korea Research Institute of Ships and Ocean Engineering (KRISO), which is developing the core technology for the buoyancy engine of underwater gliders, has developed a test module that can vertically ascend and descend with a buoyancy engine to verify the performance of the developed buoyancy engine. The independent test module was tested in a 15 metre deep pit in the Ocean Engineering Basin to verify its ability to ascend and descend. In order to test at a shallower depth than the real sea, it was necessary to know the negative buoyancy value during descent and the time at which the buoyancy engine would be activated. To do this, we solved the equation of motion in the vertical direction to obtain these values and applied them to the tank test. To validate the usefulness of solving the equation, we also compared the depth of descent over time measured in the test with the results calculated from the solution.

수직 동심 환형관 내의 난류혼합대류 현상에 관한 직접수치모사 (Direct Numerical Simulation of Turbulent Mixed Convection in Heated Vertical Annulus)

  • Turbulent mixed convection in heated vertical annulus is investigated using Direct Numerical Simulation (DNS) technique. The objective of this study is to find out the effect of buoyancy on turbulent mixed convection in heated vertical annulus. Downward and upward flows with bulk Reynolds number 8500, based on hydraulic diameter and mean velocity, have been simulated to investigate turbulent mixed convection by gradually increasing the effect of buoyancy. With increased heat flux, heat transfer coefficient first decreases and then increases in the upward flow due to the effect of buoyancy, but it gradually increases in downward flow. The mean velocity and temperature profiles can not be explained by the wall log laws due to the effect of buoyancy, too. All simulation results are in good quantitative agreement with existing numerical results and in good qualitative agreement with existing experimental results.

  • Experimental study was conducted to elucidate flame extinction phenomena in counterflow flame. Using a curtain helium flow significantly reduced buoyancy such that the flame can be positioned at the center between the upper and lower nozzles even at the velocity ratio of 1.0. The curves of critical diluent mole fraction versus global strain rate have C-shapes. The flame oscillation was observed prior to low strain rate flame extinction at both flame conditions with and without minimizing buoyancy force. The results show that, at low strain rate flame, the self-excitation frequency with the order of 1.0 Hz in the case of utilizing pure helium gradually decreases in increase of $N_2$ mole fraction in the curtain flow, meaning that buoyancy suppresses the self-excitation of the outer edge flame.

수중운동체의 심도제어를 위한 제어기 설계 (Controller design for depth control of vehicle under seawater)

  • In ordaer to hold an underwater vehicle at a certain depth, buoyancy that acts on the underwater vehicle can be modulated. In this research, buoyancy that could control depth of underwater vehicle is generated by a buoyancy bag. Solenoid valves are operated by pulse with modulation(PWM) method. State equation, in consideration of the volume of buoyancy bag, pressure inside bag, and dynamic of the underwater vehicle, is derived. This system is very unstable, inculdes modelling error and nonlinearity. In depth control system, maintanance of performance is required., anainst vatiation of systerm parameter and operating depth, and designed. Through the computer simulation, performance is comparerd for each controllers.
