Current status of global dairy goat production: an overview

  • The global goat population continues to grow and is now over one billion. The number of goats raised primarily for milk production is also growing, due to expanding demand. Most of the world dairy goat production and consumption is in Asia, but a global view of the dairy goat sector reveals important lessons about building successful modern dairy goat industries. The most organized market for goat milk is found in Europe, especially in France. The European goat sector is specialized for milk production, mostly for industrial cheesemaking, while also supporting traditional on-farm manufacturing. Government involvement is significant in sanitary regulation, research, extension, support for local producer organizations, and markets, and ensures safety and quality. Nonetheless, producers are still vulnerable to market fluctuations. New dairy goat industries are developing in countries without a long goat milk tradition, such as China, the United States, and New Zealand, due to rising consumer demand, strong prices, and climate change. The mix of policies, management and markets varies widely, but regardless of the country, the dairy goat sector thrives when producers have access to markets, and the tools and skills to sustainably manage their livestock and natural resources. These are most readily achieved through strong and inclusive producer organizations, access to technical services, and policies that enable the poor and marginalized groups to benefit from increasing demand.

국내 친환경 건축 모델하우스에 대한 비교 연구 (The Comparative Study for Green Building model house design in Korea)

  • The "Eco-friendly", "Green" concepts was began around 1992 after the Rio Environmental Summit, and the need for sustainable development globally widespread. The green building certification system was began around 2000 and the concept of green building was started in the late 1990s. The green building, which welcomes a period of radical change, is for the survival of the Earth "climate change" and reducing energy consumption in building sector. In this architecture of eco-friendly concept, the green building is rapidly expanding and existing as a ecological environment preservation. Moreover, the realization of zero energy house is to mandate for new buildings in 2025. The aim of further eco-friendly is through the prior ecosystems to restore and product energy for the 9 Green Building model houses in this paper. Building in the concept of ecology is to show about change into 7R's from the 3R's. The "Reduce", "Reuse", "Recycle" consisting of "3R's" is correlated with the traditional to the present Green Building Design. U.S. NCARB (National Council of Architectural Registration Boards) change into the concept of 7R's as "Receive", "Restore", "Respect" and "Remember", added to "3R's". In this paper, the 9 Green Building model houses do not meet the criteria of 7R's. But, the Green Tomorrow of Samsung C & T Corporation meet the 6 criteria for 7R's. This company is most comfortable at low carbon Green Building model houses. Conclusionally, introduction of eco-friendly technologies and amenities for the health of human and natural community life is to advance eco-friendly construction and enhance brand value of housing. By the way, The problem of eco-friendly architecture is initial investment and maintenance. Therefore, eco-friendly architecture and government has to try solving of this difficulty.

택지개발사업의 개발이익 추계에 대한 연구 (A Study of Development Gains Estimation in Building Land Development Projects)

  • 개발이익은 토지소유자의 노력과 투자를 동반하지 않은 토지가치의 증가를 일반적으로 지칭하며, 개발이익 환수는 이러한 유형의 토지가치 증가는 공유하여야 한다는 사고를 전제하고 있다. 이러한 개발이익의 발생메커니즘, 향유 주체 및 환수의 경제적 효과를 둘러싸고 많은 논쟁이 전개되었다. 정책대상으로서 개발이익은 토지가치세와 같은 조세형평성의 강화, 도시하부구조 건설재원조달, 토지이용 및 공간계획 관리 목적으로 활용하고 있다. 그러나 개발이익에 대한 이러한 이론적 정책적 논의의 발전을 위해서는 개발이익 발생규모와 특성을 구체적으로 규명하는 작업이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 택지개발촉진법 도입 이후 주도적으로 택지개발사업을 수행하고 있는 한국토지공사와 대한주택공사의 1995년 이후 전체 204개 개발사업지구를 대상으로 화폐의 시간적 가치를 고려한 할인현금흐름분석법으로 개발이익을 추계하고 그 특성을 밝힌다.

에너지 측면의 스마트 그린시티 계획기법에 관한 연구 : 행복도시의 적용실태를 중심으로 (A Study on the Energy Planning Technique of Smart Green City : Focus on Application Condition in Multi-functional Administrative City, Korea)

  • 본 연구는 스마트 그린시티의 목표를 충족시켜 줄 수 있는 에너지 측면의 계획기법과 적용기술을 정리하고, 국내에서 가장 먼저 스마트 그린시티 계획을 수립한 행복도시를 분석함으로서 스마트 그린시티 계획의 실현방안을 정립하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 첫째, 선행연구 고찰을 통해 스마트 그린시티의 개념을 정의하고, 3개 목표, 3개 부문, 6개 기본방향을 설정하였다. 둘째, 선행연구 분석과 스마트 그린시티 목표와 계획기법의 기대효과의 연관성을 고려한 전문가 브레인스토밍을 통하여 18개 계획기법을 도출하였다. 셋째, 행복도시를 대상으로 도출된 계획기법의 적용실태를 기반여건 조성과 기술 및 시스템 도입 측면으로 파악하였다. 그 결과, 스마트 그린시티 조성을 위한 주요 계획기법은 '도시 에너지 통합관리 센터 구축', '건축물 에너지 관리 시스템', '빌딩 자동화 시스템', '녹색교통 체계 구축', '지능형 교통 시스템', '친환경 교통수단 보급', 등 건축물 에너지 소비 절감과 지능형 녹색 교통 시스템 구축에 관련된 계획기법으로 도출되었으며 향후 개선 방안을 확인할 수 있었다.

중국의 녹색건축인증 현황에 대한 기초조사 연구 (A Basic Study on Green Building Certification in China)

  • 본 연구는 최근 중국정부의 환경문제에 대한 국가적 관심 증가와 관련 정책의 수립으로 녹색건축 시장이 빠른 성장 속도를 보이고 있는 바, 현재 중국 녹색건축인증 현황 조사를 통해 동향을 분석하고, 향후 건축분야에서의 탄소배출량 저감에 기여하기 위한 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 중국 전체 지역의 녹색건축인증 획득현황과 시설 유형을 조사하고, ESGB 2014의 평가기준 및 항목을 조사하여 ESGB 2006과의 차이점을 분석하였다. 연구방법은 대부분 문헌조사에 의하며 중국 녹색건축평가 홈페이지(綠色建築評价標識网, http://www.cngb.org.cn), 중국도시과학연구원(中國城市科學硏究院, http://www.chinagbc.org.cn)등을 참고하였다.

Dynamic Modeling of Building Services Projects: A Simulation Model for Real-Life Hospital Project

  • All infrastructure projects are said to be inter-dependent, uncertain and labour-intensive in nature. There is no exception for building services sub sector. For a real time project such as 'The construction, extension and refurbishment of Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Hospital at Tirupathy, India with total area of 45,000 square feet at an estimated cost of 1100 million rupees, a generic process model is developed to simulate the effect of set of identified variables on construction project. The 'Stocks and Flows' of dynamic model affords relevant insights to project managers, who apply this knowledge when designing better performance through more appropriate project planning. It is concluded from the model-based approach that building services works can be improved through specific better focussed managerial efforts, such as an increasing coordination effectiveness at the planning stage, clarifying prerequisite conditions prior to installations. Otherwise, pending works arising from work clashes can lead to knock-on effects resulting in productivity constraints and pressures, as well as more rework and demolition. Current study reveals that the model enables deep insight into various interdependent processes, their by improving construction performance levels, by addressing the dynamics of design errors and defective works, and recovering delayed schedule.

지역에 따른 주거용 건물에너지효율등급 분석 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of Building Energy Rating considering the Region)

  • Entering in the time of high oil price, seriousness of an energy effect sector has given a huge impact and the importance of energy is growing. Especially, building energy occupying 24% of total demand of energy can be expected to reduce energy demand more than other section. To do this, the Building Energy Rating System is applied and implemented in Apartment houses on Jeju, South and Central region. This system calculates into energy saving rate, and certifies the building energy rating. This study evaluates the energy saving rate and rating and compares the difference in energy savings considering to each region and the thermal performance of the window. In result, the standard of the assessment house which is applied to the build energy rating system is demanded to distinguish the thermal performance of window according to regional variation.

  • HVAC&R systems are the most energy consuming building services, representing approximately half of the final energy use in the building sector. Despite their significant energy use, there is a lack of a consistent and homogeneous framework to efficiently guide research. This research is about the energy consumptions of HVAC&R systems, with the aim of establishing a common idea for the analysis of building energy efficiency. Our approach deals with the concept of an HVAC&R set that is composed of subsystems. A matrix combination evaluation is examined, and a total of 960 sets can be implemented in a large scale office building. A method as a tool for energy evaluations of HVAC&R systems, and HEET as a energy simulation program, were developed.

  • The seriousness of greenhouse gas exhaustions and energy use of the building has increased, the world is making an effort with many requests and the consultation for sustainable development. For this reason, Green Building Certification Criteria has been implemented to reduce environmental load, high-performance and environmentally friendly in the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany. In response to the global trend like this, the Korean Government has induced the eco-friendly construction and sustainable development to implement the G-SEED (Green Building Certification Criteria of Korea) in 2002. However, in spite of the many authentication result, G-SEED has been pointed out that it needs for improve in the evaluation system of Apartment sector which accounts for more than 40% of the authentication. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to suggest improvements in the evaluation system. To achieve this, this study have selected for LEED, BREEAM, DGNB of comparison target, drawn improvements through comparing transition process in G-SEED.
