  • As the physical functions of school buildings and the changes in the functions of educational facilities due to social change are increasing, the demand for fundamental and long-term measures for the maintenance of educational facilities is expanding. However, depending on the function of the facility, the maintenance work has been carried out only when it is directly related to the safety problem, or when the request of the school facility manager is requested, rather than supporting preventive maintenance. In this study, we investigate the maintenance process of educational facilities and propose a method to manage the maintenance process of the educational facilities in the unit of space for establishing an efficient maintenance management system.

  • To minimize construction of nuclear facility, it is required to reduce reinforcing bar amount and solve reinforcing bar concentration and for this, it is necessary to develop appication design technology and modular of high strength reinforcing bar. Hence, KHNP reduces excessive reinforcing bar amount which can cause possibility of poor construction of concrete through design standard development and modular of nuclear facility structure using high strength reinforcing bar to raise economics and has its purpose to maintain high-level safety and durability as they are. After reviewing the rebar drawing of the NPP structures and performing the mock-up test, the rebar modulation method in the various area of the NPP Structure has been established.

  • The purpose of this study is to confirm the adhesion performance of the three - dimensional forming fiber panels by the dimensional forming angle. As a result of applying the three dimensional surface shape to the back side of the fiber panel and testing the adhesion strength by the three dimensional forming angle, it was confirmed that the bonding strength of the specimens to which the dimensional molding was applied was higher than that of the non dimensional molding. In addition, the highest adhesion strength was confirmed in a specimen having a three-dimensional forming angle of 70 °.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the transforming characteristics of village at the urban fringe, which are influenced by the urbanization. Three areas in the urban fringe are selected for the case study. The changed conditions in the spatial structure of those areas are reviewed through following factors : street system, an entrance of village, a boundary of village, community facility, development density, housing type, building use. The transforming characteristics are analyzed as a result of the research. In result, the community facility, development density, housing type and building use are changed largly in the transforming characteristics.

  • Building Information Modeling (BIM) encourages effective information share and utilization among project participants during entire life cycle of facility. This paper presents a method that keeps track of the historical quality records involved in construction operations and facilitates using BIM. The method is coded into BIM based Quality Record Traceability (BIM-QRT) System that makes use of historical records obtained from database administrating construction operations. This study is of value to practitioners because the method makes clear the project participants' responsibility relative to the quality of each and every element of the facility. The main objective of this research is to develop an accurate, fully automated method for construction Quality Record Tracking by using a BIM along with construction operations data obtained by information technology. Test cases verify the usability and validity of the methods implemented in the system.

  • Due to the deterioration of infrastructure, the importance of maintenance is continuously increasing. Therefore, an integrated maintenance method for various facilities is required. In this study, a maintenance priority determination method for integrated maintenance of roads and pipe network facilities was developed. It is possible to analyze attribute information by using GIS data of roads and pipe networks, and shape information can be used. This information is derived as quantitative figures for determining maintenance priorities. In the future, it is expected that facility maintenance can be further advanced in connection with maintenance method and quantity information for each facility.

  • In Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-Water) has seen four problems rising in four aspects of property management of approximately 1,300 buildings scattered through put to country. To solve these, ground data for repair and replacement works to be conducted for prevention will be prepared and building maintenance system (hereinafter referred to as PBMS) intended to record related repair and replacement work histories and calculate LCC of the related these items will be developed. PBMS, a web-based system, will be developed for users' convenience and data monitoring in real time. To sum up, PBMS are expected to maximize efficiency in four aspects including the establishment of repair and replacement work plans for prevention, history management, DB for predicting future work to be occurred and enable the determination of priorities by being developing into facility condition assessment systems through the results of analysis of repair and replacement histories and LCC.

  • A questionare survey was performed to investigate the citizen's attitude concerning waste treatment facilities. Most people recognized the seriousness of the waste treatment problem and think that more composting facilities should be built. People dislike most the landfill facility, followed by the nightsoil treatment facility, the incineration facility and the composting facility. Most people answered that the disirable distance from their house to the treatment facility should be farther than 4km for the landfill facility, farther than 2km for incineration and composting facilities and farther than 1km for the wastewater treatment plant. Most people want moving cost+land price+inconvience suffering cost (amount equal to the land prize+building prize) for their retrieval. About 30% of people answered that they will not accept any waste treatment facility even though it is perfect.
