재생증발식 냉방기를 이용한 환기 냉방시스템의 성능해석 (Performance Simulation of a Ventilation System Adopting a Regenerative Evaporative Cooler)

  • Cooling load reduction was analysed of a ventilation system adopting a regenerative evaporative cooler. The regenerative evaporative cooler is a kind of indirect evaporative cooler which cools the air down to its inlet dewpoint temperature in principle without change in the humidity ratio. The regenerative evaporative cooler was found able to cool the ventilation air to $18{\sim}21^{\circ}C$ when the outdoor condition ranges $25{\sim}35^{\circ}C$ and 0.01~0.02 kg/kg. When the outdoor humidity ratio is lower than 0.018 kg/kg, the regenerative evaporative cooler was found to provide cooling performance enough to compensate the ventilation load completely and to supply additional cooling as well. Energy simulation during the summer was carried out for a typical office building with the ventilation system using the regenerative evaporative cooler. The results showed that the seasonal cooling load can be reduced by about 40% by applying the regenerative evaporative cooler as a ventilation conditioner. The reduction was found to increase as the outdoor temperature increases and the outdoor humidity ratio decreases.

  • This Study, as a Eco-Friendly Design Process of Office for sustainable design, aims to develop a sustainable design process by letting the designers easily approach the concept of Eco-Friendly Design Process and applying this to Eco-Friendly Design Process when the designers perform design. Through a review on simulation, a research was made on the seriousness of environmental problems and control that was caused by design, Environmentally friendly design, sustainability, and sustainable design's background and definition were studied. In order to develop a Eco-Friendly Design Process, an existing review from Building Energy Simulation that proposed about energy environmentally friendly design element and sustainable design element's semantic similarities were restructured as sustainable design element comparative analysis. Restructured sustainable design elements and the relationship between sustainable design elements and the relationship of each product developmental process levels were analyzed. Finally, through clustering, sustainable design guideline were developed. This Eco-Friendly Design Process is expected to be applied to as one of the methods in solving the global environmental issues in design practice.

PMV지표를 이용한 공동주택의 난방제어에 따른 온열환경 및 에너지소비량 시뮬레이션 (An Approach of Indoor thermal Environment Control and Energy Saving Using the PMV Index)

  • 최근 에너지 절약을 화두로 건물에서의 에너지 절약기술들이 크게 요구되어 지는 반면 재실자의 온열쾌적환경은 비교적 비중 있게 다루어지지 않고 있다. 실내공간의 쾌적성은 재실자의 만족감과 더불어 생산성을 향상시키는 등의 역할을 하며, 최근 삶의 질 향상 등에 따라 그 필요성이 크게 요구되고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 공동주택을 대상으로 겨울철 난방 시 쾌적지표를 통한 실내 온열환경 제어의 타당성을 검토하고자 시뮬레이션을 수행하였으며, 주거건물에서의 일상적인 실내온도와 에너지 절약 설계기준에서 제시한 실내 설정온도, 그리고 쾌적지표를 설정으로 한 각 제어조건의 온열환경과 에너지 소비량을 비교 분석 및 검토하였다. 본 연구결과에 따르면, 쾌적지표인 PMV로 실내환경을 제어했을 때 에너지 절약설계 기준인 $22^{\circ}C$로 실내온도를 설정하였을 때보다 에너지 소비량은 29% 증가하지만 주거용 건물에서 일반적으로 유지되는 실내온도인 $24^{\circ}C$ 보다는 에너지소비량은 11% 정도 감소하며, 온열쾌적감도 각 제어조건 중 가장 우수하게 나타났다. 따라서 여러 가지 제어변수들을 통한 연구가 지속된다면 주거용 건물에서도 쾌적지표를 활용한 실내 공간의 제어방법은 건물의 에너지를 절약하고 실내 환경의 쾌적성을 증대시키는 주요기술이 될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • The electric railway has been widely used as a transportation all over the world. It also was opened in 1973 in korea and it has been steadily proceeded in making electric railway network for a big city and building Keongbu high speed , electric railway. That's why the system of electric railway is able to solve the environmental pollution and operate the useful energy in environmental ways, it helps to increase the ability of transportation and to decrease the cost. Because of the advantage of making the economic situation better, the system of electric railway is trying to do their best in developing technique of electric railway. Because of the increasing of transportation and the high speed operation, cars with regenerative braking system was adapted. Therefore, unbalanced voltage and current of three phase system and the drop and rise of voltage of feeding circuit is expected. Now that building the substation, newly spends lots of costs and time, it is a very difficult situation to solve the problem. We can guess that electric railway line can't receive power from the power system of bigger size in building newly electric railway. In this paper, it was proved that series voltage compensator was suitable as a solution according to voltage drop and voltage fluctuating through computer simulation.

사무소 건물 적용 태양열냉난방시스템의 냉방성능 분석 (Cooling Performance Analysis of Solar Heating and Cooling System in an Office Building)

  • This study examined the cooling performance of a solar heating and cooling system for an office building using the dynamic simulation program (TRNSYS). This solar heating and cooling system incorporates evacuated tube solar collectors of $204m^2$, storage tank of $8m^3$, 116.2kW auxiliary heater, single-effect $LiBr/H_2O$ absorption chiller of 20RT nominal cooling capacity. It was found that for the representing day showed peak cooling load the annual average collection efficiency of the collector was 32.9% and coefficient of performance of single-effect $LiBr/H_2O$ absorption chiller was 0.68. And the results shows for the cooling season the solar fraction of the solar heating and cooling system was 32.2% and maximal and minimal solar fraction was 63.4% for May 17.9% for July respectively.

  • Buildings with heating and cooling systems have been increased, since the requirement of thermal comfort for residents is grown. Heating and cooling systems, have been changed from two separate systems to one multi-function system which includes both heating and cooling. Especially, heat pump heating and cooling system has been adopted for general classrooms in schools since education environment improvement project has been launched. This research suggests the best option for the heat pump heating and cooling system in educational buildings through economic assessments for four alternative systems based on electric heat pump (EHP) and gas engine driven heat pump (GHP), which are most widely used for elementary, middle and high schools. The model buildings are in the Y high school which has 24 classes of new construction building, which will be built soon. Annual energy consumption for alternative systems uses BECS 3.10, which can be used for system simulation.

  • Building prediction and control theory have been drawing the attention of many scientists over the past few years because design and control efficiency consumes the most financial and energy. In the literature, many methods have been proposed to achieve this goal by trying different control theorems, but all of these methods face some problems in correctly solving the problem. The Evolutionary Bat (EB) Algorithm is one of the recently introduced optimization methods and providing researchers to solve different types of optimization problems. This paper applies EB to the optimization of building control design. The optimized parameter is the input to the fuzzy controller, which gives the status response as an output, which in turn changes the state of the associated actuator. The novel control criterion for guarantee of the stability of the system is also derived for the demonstration in the analysis. This systematic and simplified controller design approach is the contribution for solving complex dynamic engineering system subjected to external disturbances. The experimental results show that the method achieves effective results in the design of closed-loop system. Therefore, by establishing the stability of the closed-loop system, the behavior of the closed-loop building system can be precisely predicted and stabilized.

Analytical simulation of reversed cyclic lateral behaviors of an RC shear wall sub-assemblage

  • Experimental results of cyclic reversed lateral force test on a two-story reinforced concrete shear wall sub-assemblage are simulated analytically by using the PERFORM-3D program. A comparison of experimental and analytical results leads to the following conclusions: (1) "Shear Wall" and "General Wall" models with "Concrete shear" cannot simulate the pinching phenomena due to shear and show larger amounts of inelastic energy absorption than those in the experiment. (2) Modeling a story-height wall by using two or more "General Wall" elements with "Diagonal shear" in the vertical direction induces the phenomenon of swelling-out at the belly, leading to the erroneous simulation of shear behaviors. In application to tall building structures, it is recommended to use one element of "General Wall" with "Diagonal shear" for the full height of a story. (3) In the plastic hinge area, concrete deformations of analytical models overestimate elongation and underestimate shortening when compared with experimental results.

  • On this study, the Control of Temperature is specified on the view of indoor comfort and building energy consumption. It is estimated by Dynamic heat load simulation which has the factors of insulation method and the soil thickness of the green roof system. The fact that the model which has no insulation has the greatest effect of dropping high temperature and the cooling load decrease is confirmed.

공간통계모형을 이용한 소규모 도시 형태 변경에 따른 소음도 예측 (Road Traffic Noise Simulation for Small-scale Urban Form Alteration Using Spatial Statistical Model)

  • Road traffic noise is closely related with urban forms and urban components, such as population, building, traffic and land-use, etc. Hence, it is possible to minimize the noise exposure problem depending on how to plan new town or urban planning alteration. This paper provides ways to apply for urban planning in consideration of noise exposure through road traffic noise estimation for alteration of small-scale urban form. Spatial autoregressive model from the former study is used as statistical model for noise simulation. The simulation results by the spatial statistical model are compared with those by the engineering program-based modeling for 5 scenarios of small-scale urban form alteration. The error from the limitation of containing informations inside the grid cell and the difficulties of reflecting acoustic phenomena exists. Nevertheless, in the stage of preliminary design, the use of the statistical models that have been estimated well could be useful in time and economically.
