옥상녹화조성에 따른 온도저감효과에 관한 연구 -서울대학교 실험구를 중심으로- (The Effect of Temperature Reduction as Influenced by Rooftop Greening)

  • The objective of this study is to analyze the thermal properties of various green roof type. The experimental districts, have different soil thickness, soil type, the existence of module and the different kinds of vegetation, had installed. A measurement was conducted in Seoul University to investigate the thermal impacts of rooftop greening. The measurement point of temperature were 30, located in soil surface, middle of the soil layer, under the module, hard surface and soffit surface of each experimental district. The experimental investigation lasted from 6th August to 29th August, a total of 24 days. The results showed that green roof can contribute thermal benefits by soil and vegetation and reduce building energy consumption by a role of insulation. It's also better to make soil thickness over 20cm and various vegetation that should be more effective. The district installed only soil also could be effective for reducing the temperature of roof surface. Therefore, the increase of soil thickness and various vegetation could reduce more temperature of roof surface and building energy consumption. Also, it's helpful to reduce temperature that plant coverage rate be raised.

EVA 분말수지를 이용한 벽체용 무기질 바탕조정재의 성능평가 (Performance Test of the Inorganic Surface Preparation Materials Using EVA Powder Resin for Wall)

  • In this paper, we test and evaluate in terms of workability the epoxy resin mortar and the EVA powder resin mortar used on the concrete structures. The initial viscosity of the epoxy resin mortar is lower than the EVA powder mortar, but after 20 minutes work can not be rapidly increased to 40 minutes. In the other hand, the EVA powder resin mortar is able to measure of viscosity for the past 40 minutes. In the flow test for evaluate workability, the flow of the epoxy resin mortar is rapidly decreased from 230 to 100 in the 90 minutes, but the flow of the EVA powder resin mortar is reduced to 198 to 175 that there is no significant change. In the coverage test of the pinhole on the concrete surface, the EVA powder mortar appears coverage in the all pinhole size but the epoxy resin mortar is not concealed from 2mm pinhole size.

Mediated Public Diplomacy and the Contest Over International Agenda-Building in the Gulf Diplomatic Crisis

  • Drawing on the theories of mediated public diplomacy, intermedia agenda-building, and homophily, this study aims to compare the effectiveness of the public diplomacy efforts made by the Saudi and Qatari governments during the Gulf diplomatic crisis. The study examines the respective international agenda-building influence of the state-sponsored media from the two competing Gulf states on the regional and international media's coverage of the crisis. Results show that, compared to Saudisponsored Al Arabiya, Qatari-sponsored Al Jazeera was more effective in shaping the agendas of the regional and international media. Whereas Al Arabiya has a weak first-level agenda-building influence and a moderate-to-strong influence at the second and the third levels, Al Jazeera demonstrates a strong agenda-building influence on the foreign media outlets at all of the three levels. We also analyze the impact of political proximity and the language of the media content (English or Arabic) on the agenda-building relationships. Still, the results suggest that, compared to Al Arabiya, Al Jazeera was more successful in shaping the agendas of the regional and international news media-no matter where they are based in the allied or the opposing countries. Also, we observe a higher level of consistency between Arabic- and English-language content in Al Jazeera.

펨토셀 기반 계층셀 구조 시스템 용량 및 서비스 반경 분석 (System Capacity and Coverage Analysis of Hierarchical Femtocell Networks)

  • 최근 들어 실내에서의 고속 무선 통신과 음영지역 해소를 위한 해결책의 하나로 옥내용 기지국인 펨토셀(femtocell)을 활용하는 계층구조 방안이 제시되고 있으며, 이동통신 표준화 단체에서 관련 이슈에 대한 표준화 작업이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 그러나 펨토셀 환경에서 발생할 수 있는 여러 가지 기술적 문제들이 존재하며 그 중 가장 중요한 문제가 간섭으로 인한 시스템의 열화이다. 따라서 전체 시스템의 안정적이고 효율적인 운용을 위해 펨토셀 환경에서의 상호 간섭과 이에 따른 시스템 성능 분석이 요구된다. 본 고에서는 펨토셀 설치 주변의 다양한 전파 환경을 고려하여 매크로셀(macrocell)이나 펨토셀간 상호 간섭에 따른 시스템 용량 및 서비스 영역을 살펴본다. 특히 펨토셀의 주 설치 지역이 되는 실내 환경에서 매크로셀과 펨토셀간의 거리, 펨토셀 내에서 사용자의 위치, 옥내 구조물의 특징 등을 반영한 의전파전파 모델을 적용하고 그에 따른 주파수 효율성과 서비스 반경 등의 시스템 성능을 분석한다.

Building structural health monitoring using dense and sparse topology wireless sensor network

  • Wireless sensor technology has been opened up numerous opportunities to advanced health and maintenance monitoring of civil infrastructure. Compare to the traditional tactics, it offers a better way of providing relevant information regarding the condition of building structure health at a lower price. Numerous domestic buildings, especially longer-span buildings have a low frequency response and challenging to measure using deployed numbers of sensors. The way the sensor nodes are connected plays an important role in providing the signals with required strengths. Out of many topologies, the dense and sparse topologies wireless sensor network were extensively used in sensor network applications for collecting health information. However, it is still unclear which topology is better for obtaining health information in terms of greatest components, node's size and degree. Theoretical and computational issues arising in the selection of the optimum topology sensor network for estimating coverage area with sensor placement in building structural monitoring are addressed. This work is an attempt to fill this gap in high-rise building structural health monitoring application. The result shows that, the sparse topology sensor network provides better performance compared with the dense topology network and would be a good choice for monitoring high-rise building structural health damage.

업무시설의 리노베이션 현황에 관한 조사 연구 (A Research on the Renovation Situation of the Business Buildings)

  • The functions and uses of existing buildings are not properly changing as modern life needs. As a result, the frequent reconstruction(construction after removal) of existing buildings have been done but it became more and more difficult because of strengthening of regulations and systems concerning construction. And also it has several disadvantages like lower plot ratio and site coverage than existed buildings, enormous construction cost, production of waste-construction materials and thoughtless consumption of natural resources, which gives rise to environmental pollution. Therefore renovation is brought to the fore. In Korea, many business buildings were constructed in 1960s-1970s, during the period of high growth. Such buildings needs to be repaired in whole. It is caused by the change of social, economic, and cultural conditions and deterioration of equipments. Therefore renovation meets some necessary conditions; recovery of building functions and extension of building life span. In case study, the present state of renovation in business buildings is 1) Basic safety, for example, fire prevention and crime prevention, is great important. 2) Advanced technology, INS(international news service), IBS(Intelligent Building System), and internationalization, is pursued for adapting to multimedia ages. 3) It tries to promote proficiency, and to save the energy using spatial environment and natural energy(light and sound). Also, improving comfortable level of users and installing equipments for physically handicapped person needs to be considered.

부산시 해운대구의 하기 도시 고온화 현상과 토지피복 구성과의 상관관계 (Correlation between the Trend toward Higher Temperature and Land Cover Structure in Haeundae District of Busan in Summer)

  • This study aims at examining the correlation between air temperature and urban structure such as land cover. For this, it measured summer air temperature by using data log type thermometer installed the inside of instrument screen, in the 9 points of elementary school in Haeundae, Busan. The accomplished results of this study are followings. 1) As altitude goes up 100m, air temperature drops to $0.6{\sim}1.0^{\circ}C$. 2) As building coverage ratio increases 10%, air temperature increases $0.3{\sim}0.4^{\circ}C$. 3) As floor space index increases 100%, air temperature increases $0.4{\sim}0.5^{\circ}C$. 4) As artificial coverage ratio increases 10%, air temperature increases $0.1{\sim}0.2^{\circ}C$. 5) As natural coverage ratio increases 10%, air temperature decreases $0.1{\sim}0.2^{\circ}C$.

Biosensing interfaces based on the dendrimer-underlying layer on gold

  • Structually organized mono- and multilayers were developed on gold for the catalytic and affinity biosensing using hyper-branched dendrimers. For the catalytic biosensing interface, a new approach to construct a multilayered enzyme film on the electrode surface was developed. The film was prepared by layer-by-layer depositions of dendrimers and periodate-oxidized glucose oxidase. The voltammograms obtained from the GOx/dendrimer multilayered electrodes revealed that bioelectrocatalytic response is directly correlated to the number of deposited bilayers. From the analysis of voltammetric and ellipsometric signals, the coverage of active enzyme per layer during the layering steps was estimated, demonstrating the spatially-ordered multilayer formation. As an extension of the study, dendrimers having various degrees of ferrocenyl modification were prepared and used. The resulting electrodes were electrochemically characterized, and the density of ferrocenyl groups, active enzyme coverage, and sensitivity were estimated. For the affinity-sensing surrface, a biosensor system based on avidin-biotin interaction was developed. As the building block of affinity monolayer, G4 dendrimer having partial ferrocenyl-tethered surface groups was prepared and used. And the biotinylated and electroactive dendritic monolayer was used for the affinity-sensing surface interacting with avidin. Electrochemical characterization of the resulting biosensor was conducted using free enzyme in electrolyte in terms of degree of surface coverage with avidin and subsequent surface shielding.

Relationship Analysis among Media, Public Opinion and the Presidential Statements during George Bush's War on Drugs

  • This study tested a path model of agenda building examining the relationship among the media, the public and the presidential statements on the issue of drug abuse during the Bush administration's War on Drugs. The results showed that a dynamic and interactive relationship among aforementioned actors. First, the real-world conditions strongly increased both media coverage and presidential statements. Second, the news media and president influenced each other. Third, public concern, however, did not function as a significant factor in agenda-building process in this study. The result of this study indicates that Bush was not utterly a reactive or proactive president in terms of his relationship with the media. That is, news media and the president interacted regarding the drug issues; the relationship between President Bush and the media for drug issues was reciprocal.

서평전문지에 나타난 그림책 서평 분석 연구 (Reviews of Picture Books : A Content Analysis)

  • Many picture books are published every year. Book reviews can play an important role in building knowledge about newly published book. This study analyzed data the coverage and content of reviews in journals with a view to helping librarians and parents become more aware of content and coverage of reviews for picture books. Variations of bibliographic and ordering information appeared among all journals. Most reviews typically included a plot summary and a general statement about the illustrations. Overall, journals provided more comments on literary elements than artistic elements. However, reviews provided insufficient information about the background of reviewers. Physical description of the books appeared in 8.81 % of the sample.
