육계 출하 시 수송 거리가 닭고기의 도체 등급 및 PSE육 출현에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Transportation Distance of Broilers on Meat Grades and PSE Incidence)

  • 본 연구는 농장에서 육계 출하 시 수송 거리에 따라 근거리(40 km 이내), 중거리(70~80 km), 원거리(140~150 km)로 구분하여 수송 거리가 최종 닭고기의 품질 등급에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 실시하였다. 수송 거리에 따른 도체의 품질에서 $1^+$ 등급 발생이 근거리 수송은 61.3%, 중거리 수송은 56.3%, 원거리 수송은 43.3%로 근거리 수송구가 원거리 수송에 비해 18% 정도 증가하였다. 멍 발생은 가슴 및 다리 부위에서는 큰 차이가 없었으나 날개 부위에서 근거리 수송은 16.7%, 원거리 수송이 27.3%를 나타내 원거리 수송에서 멍 발생 비율이 10.6% 정도 증가하였다. 부분육 중 가슴육의 품질 등급에서도 원거리 수송에서 $1^+$ 등급은 67.7%를 차지하였으나, 근거리 수송에서는 81.7%로 수송 거리가 짧을수록 $1^+$ 등급 발생 비율이 증가하였다. 멍 발생율도 근거리 수송이 10%, 중거리 수송 4.7%, 원거리 수송이 12%로 근거리 및 중거리보다 원거리 수송에서 가슴 부위의 멍 발생 비율이 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 가슴 부위에서만 나타나는 PSE 증상은 원거리 수송에서 18.3%를 나타내었고, 중거리 수송은 13.0%를 나타냈으나, 근거리 수송에서는 PSE 증상이 7.0%로 가장 낮은 비율을 나타내었다. 부분육에서 다리육의 품질등급은 원거리 수송에서 $1^+$ 등급은 88.3%를 차지하였으나, 근거리 수송에서는 91.2%로 가슴육과 비슷하게 수송 거리가 짧을수록 $1^+$ 등급 발생 비율이 증가하였다. 이러한 경향은 날개육에서 비슷하여 $1^+$ 등급 발생율이 근거리 수송구가 원거리 수송에 비해 11% 정도 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 육계의 수송 거리는 닭고기의 품질에 많을 영향을 미치므로 짧은 수송 거리가 필수이나, 최대 80 km 이내에서 수송이 이루어져야 고품질 닭고기를 생산할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

기계수확 시 발생한 충격이 양파(Allium cepa L.)의 저장성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of impact by mechanical harvesting on storability of onions (Allium cepa L.))

  • 본 연구는 인력수확과 기계수확 즉, 수확 방법을 달리한 양파와 기계수확 과정에서 발생되는 양파와 양파 간 충격을 모의하여 인위적으로 충격처리 한 양파의 품질 및 저장성을 평가하여 기계수확을 위한 자료를 얻고자 하였다. 수확방법은 인력굴취 후 인력수집, 기계굴취 후 인력수집, 기계굴취 후 기계수집 총 3가지였다. 그리고 본 연구의 굴취 및 수집과정에서의 최고 충격 높이는 0.5 m였다. 수확 직후 압상률과 상해율은 수확 방법 간 유의한 차이가 없었다. 만약 기계수확으로 압상이나 상해 발생이 증가한다면 그 원인은 토양에 함유된 자갈 등의 토양 조건과 속도 등의 기계 운전 조건이 영향을 미친 것으로 사료된다. 또한, 저장 8.5개월 동안의 품질 및 저장성도 수확 방법 간에 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 모의 충격실험은 0.0 m(0.0 J), 0.25 m(0.86 J), 0.5 m(1.72 J), 0.75 m(2.57 J)에서 1회 처리와 0.25 m에서 동일위치 4회(3.43 J)와 다른위치 4회(3.43 J)를 pendulum 방식으로 충격처리하여 저장성을 조사하였다. 모든 처리에서 저장 8.5개월 동안 품질과 저장성은 처리 간에 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 결론적으로 본 연구의 양파 기계수확은 인력수확과 품질 및 저장성에서 차이가 없었고, 기계수확을 모의한 충격처리도 양파의 품질 및 저장성에 거의 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 수확 기계의 제작과 기계수확 시 운전 조건에 대한 자료를 제공함으로써 향후 양파 수확 작업의 기계화 확대에 도움이 될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

절개침 치료를 이용한 안면주름 개선 8례 (Subcision Acupuncture for Facial Wrinkles: A Case Study of 8 Patients)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine and report improvements of facial wrinkles with the use of subcision. Methods : Subcision acupuncture was performed on outpatients with facial wrinkles for one to two times. Evaluation of improvement was conducted with patient-report questionnaires and comparison of before and after pictures. Items for satisfaction and adverse events were included in the questionnaire, and it was filled out after treatment. The photographs were taken three times; before the first and the second subcision acupuncture, and two to four weeks after the second subcision acupuncture. Results : The results from questionnaire and photo comparison were reported positive and satisfactory. There were minor adverse events such as bruise or conspicuousness of other wrinkles that were not treated. Conclusions : Our study results suggests that the use of subcision acupuncture is effective for facial wrinkles.

  • Objective : Oriental medical treatment may be possibility or effect in patients with facial nerve paralysis caused by traumatic temporal bone fracture. Methods : The authors compared objectively improvement state of patient that operated acupuncture, herbal medicine and herbal acupuncture. Results : 1. A Facial nerve travel long and pass by narrow bone canal in temporal bone. so slow progressive paralysis is caused by nerve swelling and impedimental blood circulation in bone canal, if bruise happens. 2. At patients with traumatic facial nerve paralysis, acupuncture(LI TE centered operation), herbal medicine(理氣祛風散, 加味補益湯加滅 etc..) and herbal acupucture(SY-消炎, Hominis Placenta-紫河車, JGH-中氣下陷) are effective to improving symptoms. 3. In general, everyone consider surgical operation first of all, in the case of having traumatic facial nerve paralysis. Through this case, the authors are thought that can attempt access of Oriental medical treatment without doing surgical operation.

침구임상시험에서 나타난 이상반응 발생률 및 유형 분석 (The Analysis of Incidence and Type of Adverse Events in Acupuncture & Moxibustion Clinical Trials)

  • Objectives : We investigated the incidence rate and type of adverse events associated with RCTs(Randomized Controlled Trials) of acupuncture and moxibustion. Methods : This study included 949 patients who received acupuncture or moxibustion or usual care from 8 RCTs. We collected data including gender and age of patients, intervention, treatment frequency and type of adverse events in clinical trials from their case report forms. Results : Among the 949 patients, 83 patients(8.7%) suffered at least one adverse event throughout the clinical trials. Types of adverse event in acupuncture & moxibustion clinical trials are common cold, skin changes, pain, dizziness, bruise, gastrointestinal diseases, changes of blood chemistry, burn. Adverse events were significantly correlated to patients' age, intervention, body mass index and treatment group. Conclusions : A Guide-line for collecting and managing adverse events of acupuncture & moxibustion clinical trials are needed.

플러그묘 자동이식기의 묘 자동공급 및 이식기구에 관한 연구 (Automatic Feeding and Transplanting Mechanism for Plug Seedling Transplanter)

  • An automatic seedling transplanter, employed an innovative plug-seedling feeder was developed by improving the problems of conversational feeding and transplanting mechanisms. With conventional methods, missing and damage rates of seedling were high for long seedlings over 20cm and also breaking seed-bed was frequently observed. Thus, a pushout-bucket slide-hopper type trandsplanter was devised and tested. Test results of picking and transferring accuracies of the developed transplanter are as follows : A prototype transplanter performed with 1.5% of missing rate. The deviations of horizontal feed ranged from -0.3mm to 2.8mm and averaged 0.673mm for the 128-hoe test tray : and ranged from -lmm to +3mm and averaged 0.785mm for the 200-hole test tray. The deviations could decrease with precise manufacturing and lightening the mechanism. The maximum and deviations of vertical feed were -2.3mm and + 1mm, respectively, for the 128-hole test tray ; and were +3mm and +2.5mm, respectively, for the 200-hole test tray. The missing rate, seeding bruise rate and seed-bed damage rate were esitmate to be 1.3%, 0.4% and 3.5%, respectively, with the developed automatic transplanter.

Sedative and Antinociceptive Properties of Lindera obtusiloba

  • The stem of Lindera obtusiloba (Lauraceae), has been widely used as a traditional medicine for the treatment of abdominal pain, bruise and hepatocirrhosis. In the present study, antinociceptive and sedative properties of the methanol extract of L. obtusiloba (MLO) were evaluated. MLO demonstrated strong and dose-dependent antinociceptive activities on various experimental pain models including thermal nociception and chemical nociception, compared to tramadol and indomethacin, reference drugs. In combination test using naloxone, the diminished analgesic activity of MLO was observed, indicating the relation with opioid receptor. Moreover, MLO also decreases pentobarbital-induced sleep latency and increases sleeping time suggesting its hypnotic and sedative action. The present results indicate that MLO could be used as valuable antinociceptive and sedative agent for the treatment of various diseases.

경상남도 농촌지역의 농기계손상에 관한 조사연구 (A Study for Injuries due to Agricultural Machines in Kyeongsangnam Province)

  • As compared before, agricultural machines are used more commonly instead of animal or manpower in rural areas and the injuries due to those are common. This study was conducted by questionnaire method in order to find out the current status of injuries due to agricultural machines for farmers who was selected from three Gun's in Kyeongsangnam Province. The study subjects were 385 persons in all(210 male persons, 175 female reasons) and the study period was from July through September 1993. The results were as follows; 1. The injury rate due to agricultural machines was high in male(p<0.05), and it was higher in younger age group and higher educated group. 2. The injury occurred high in summer and autumn seasons(77.6%), in the afternoon(60.6%), and during harvest(35.2%). 3. The major injuries were contusion, fracture, amputation in order and the injured sites were arms, legs, and chest in order. 31.7% of the injured farmers had been admitted, and they were treated at hospitals, home, drugstores and health centers in order. 4. The casualty damage was highest by cultivators, and agricultural instruments, threshing machine were followed. Among traumatic injuries concerned with cultivators contusions were most common, and fractures, amputations were followed. In case of agricultural instruments bruises were most common, and incisions, contusion were followed. In case of threshing machines fractures were most common and contusion, bruise were followed.

DETECTION AND CLASSIFICATION OF DEFECTS ON APPLE USING MACHINE VISION

  • This study was carried out to develop tools to detect defects of apple using machine vision. For the purpose, 6 kinds of frame for color images, R, G, B, h, S, and I frame, and a frame for near infra-red images (NIR frame) were tested first to select one which is useful to segment defect areas from apple images. After then, several methods to classify kind of defect for the segmented defect areas were developed and tested. Five kinds of apple defect -bruise , decay ,fleck worm hole and scar were investigated . The results are as follows: NIR frame was selected as the best one among the 7 kinds of image frame, and R, G and I frames showed favourable result to segment areas of apple defect. Various features of the segmented defect areas were measured to classify the defect areas. Eight kids of feature of the areas-size, roundness, axes length ratio, mean and variance of pixel values, variance of real part of spectrum, mean and variance of power spectrum resulted from spacial ourier transform were observed for the segmented defect areas in the selected 4 frames. then procedures to classify defects using the features were developed for the 4 frames and tested with 75-113 defects on apples. The test resulted that NIR and I frames showed high accuracies to classify the kind of defect as 77% and 76% , respectively.
