본 논문은 웹을 이용한 실시간 원격강의 시스템을 제안하여 기존의 원격교육 시스템이 가지고 잇는 상호작용의 문제점을 극복하고자 한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 시스템을 사용하면 전통적인 교실에서의 수업과는 달리 공간과 거리에 구애받지 않고 웹 브라우저만을 이용해 강의에 참여할 수 있다. ActiveX기술을 사용하여 비디오/오디오와 같은 멀티미디어 기능과 참가자들의 동기화 된 브라우징(browsing)기능을 구현하였다.

본 논문에서는 효율적인 디지털 비디오 서비스를 위하여 컨텐츠의 움직임에 대한 크기, 시공간적 분포 그리고 방향성에 대한 통계적인 특징을 효율적으로 표현하는 움직임 정도 기술자에 대하여 논하고 움직임 정도가 중요한 특징으로 사용되는 비디오 검색, 리퍼포징, 원격 감시 그리고 브라우징 등의 서비스분야에 대하여 기술한다. 제안 기술은 멀티미디어 컨텐츠 색인과 구조에 대한국제 표준을 개발중인 MPEG-7에서 실험모델로 채택되어 있다.

Both browsing and retrieval with search engines are major operations that establish the interaction between users and the Web. Although both operations are usually combined to locate information from the Web, recent growth of the Web has overtaken the potential of this conventional interaction. This paper proposes the concept of Retrieve, Browse, and Analyze (RBA)-based interactions, as the improvement of the conventional Retrieve and Browse (RB)-based interaction. The prototype interface based on RBA-based interaction is also presented.

본 논문은 XML스키마 문서에서 정의된 컴포넌트 요소들의 타입-엘리먼트 복합 계층 구조와 타입 계층 구조를 그래피컬하게 파악할 수 있는 XML 스키마 브라우저를 구현한 것이다. XML 스키마 브라우저의 설계 및 구현 방법을 제안하고, 그 기능을 서술한다. 구현된 XML 스키마 브라우저를 사용함으로써 복잡한 XML 스키마 문서의 구조를 한눈에 쉽고 정확하게 파악할 수 있다.

본 논문은 웹 문서 여과시 사용자 모델링을 위해 사용되는 연관성 피드백 방법을 강화 학습 프레임웍에서 분석하고 강화학습 기반의 새로운 연관성 피드백 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 강화 학습 프레임책상에서 기존의 방법을 일반화한 것으로 기존의 연관성 피드백 방법이 현재의 프로파일만을 상태로 사용하는 데 비해 과거 history부터 얻는 추가 정보를 사용하는 방법이다

본 논문에서는 기업환경에 적합한 Web 기술을 이용하여 제품정보 검색 시스템을 개발, 운영한 사례를 다룬다. 이 시스템은 다국적 설계, 생산, 판매, 그리고 CS 부서에서 Web Browser를 통하여 설계에서 생성한 제품정보를 검색할 수 있도록 한다. 사례에서는 현장환경의 특징과 이를 고려한 구현방법을 아울러 소개한다. 이 시스템은 기존의 PDM Database를 기반으로 개발되었으며 제품구조 기준으로 부품, 서비스, Effectivity 그리고 설계변경 정보를 검색할 수 있도록 구성되어 있다. 아울러 효율적인 시스템 운영을 위한 중앙집중식 Software 배포, Server side script, 그리고 Plug-In의 활용 경험을 소개한다.

As an emerging technology in Computer graphics areas, SVG(Scalable Vector Graphic) makes it possible to make use of Vector graphics for servicing maps in basic internet browsing environment. SVG based thematic map Internet GIS system implemented by this research is free of special server side GIS mapping system and client side extra technology. It provides high-quality vector map which can interact with the user, template map which can be used for other purpose, glance the future map based on Webservices technologies. Many good characteristics of SVG in mapping at computer screen and reusability of SVG document provide new era of visualzation of geographic information.

All-IP 망에서는 core 망 뿐만 아니라 무선망 모두 IP 공유패킷망 (shared packet network)으로 구성된다. 특히 유선망에 비해 대역폭이 제한적인 무선패킷망에서 사용자의 QoS 요구를 만족시키면서 성능을 최대화시키는 것은 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 Web-browsing 과 같은 대화형 (interactive) 데이터 사용자를 위한 무선공유패킷망을 모델링하고 사용자 관점의 성능 분석 결과와 시뮬레이션 결과를 보인다.
