  • As compared with conventional sintering, rapid heating in microwave system could enhance sinterability and final properties of alumina with a very short sintering time. In this study microwave sintering was performed using zirconia brick as a reaction chamber which was positioned in a 2.45 GHz(700 W) multimode microwave cavity. Microwave-sintered alumina showed high density and smaller grain size than conventionally sintered alumina because the ratio of densification rate/grain growth rate was increased by rapid heating.

  • Masonry buildings constructed using concrete brick and cement mortar after normal Poteulranteu cement appearance, but problem of colloquial Chinese and individual crack etc. happened. Also, domestic standard abroad standard being applied mostly just as it is various kinds problem have. Therefore, purpose of this research is that wish to analyze physical special quality for Masonry individual and mortar and present pabulum that can evaluate deviation structural special quality.

  • The effect of additives on properties of unfired Al2O3-C bricks were investigated. The increase of carbon content and the addition of MgO or spinel improved the resistances against spalling and corrosion of unfired Al2O3-C bricks. Also, the oxidation resistance of unfired Al2O3-C brick was increased by adopting complex metals of Al and Si in spite of the increase of carbon content.

  • This study deals with the porous sintered body which is obtained by blending solid naphthalene with fine particles of Hwasun flint clay. Apparent porosity is increased, and bulk density, thermal conductivity, strength and thermal expansion are decreased according to the additiion of naphthalene. Pore shape of sintered body showed elliptical form and median size and capilary percentage are increased by adding more naphthalene.

  • A 3-dimentional finite element model for vibration analysis of steam-turbine blade groups is presented, employing the 3-dimentional incompatible brick element with 8 nodes. The skew coordinate system is introduced in the model for considering multi-axis symmetry and specialty of displacement constrain condition of blade groups. Vibration characteristics of blade groups are analyzed, and compared with experimental results.

  • This study deals with the assessment of low and mid rise multi-story buildings made of stone and /or brick, composite steel and masonry slabs from the sixties, known to be vulnerable to seismic hazard using the "vulnerability index" method based on buildings survey following Ain Temouchent (1999) and Boumerdes (2003) earthquakes, from where vulnerability curves are constructed using the translation method. The results obtained for the case study confirm what has been observed in situ.

  • This paper embodies the agent based cinder monitoring system which supports PDA{Personal Digital Assistant). Monitoring system automatically manages data by using data managing agents such as a state managing agent, a location managing agent, a badness managing agent, a circumstances managing agent, etc, and uses a massive data processing agent to manage massive data. The development of agent based data monitoring system for the stable cinder reuse will be an epoch-making method to develop the process mechanized or manual-labored that widely spreads into the real-time automated process.

  • Test-bricks were prepared from an artifically graded Ham Kang sand and a commercial CaO and autoclaved for 6 hours at $16 kg/cm^2$ pressure $(203^{\circ}C)$. Bricks were tested for compressive strength, free lime, saluble silica and amount of water absorption. Physical properties of bricks were very much depended on the size distribution of sand particle and the amount of soluble silica in bricks.
