제4위 우측전위증과 제4위 염전을 지닌 젖소에서 혈중 염기초과 농도의 측정 (Measurement of blood base-excess concentration in cows with abomasal torsion and right-side displacement of the abomasum)

  • 70 cows with abomasal torsion and 71 cows with right-side displacement of the abomasum were examined to determine whether the preoperative blood base-excess concentration could be used both as a prognostic indicator for postoperative recovery in cows with abomasal torsion and as an aid in differentiating between abomasal torsion and right-side displacement of the abomasum. The survival rate of cows with abomasal torsion decreased as the base-excess concentration decreased(P=0.08). There was a significant difference(P<0.025) among base-excess ranges between abomasal torsion and right-side displacement of the abomasum. Most cows with base-excess concentrations ${\geq}15.0mEq/L$ and ${\leq}-0.5mEq/L$ had abomasal torsion, rather than right-side displacement of the abomasum.

목표 지향 측방 보행 훈련이 만성 뇌졸중 환자의 균형 및 보행에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Goal-Oriented Side Walking Training on Balance and Gait in Chronic Stroke Patients)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of goal-oriented side walking training on balance and gait in chronic stroke patients. Methods: This study involved 18 chronic stroke patients who were divided into an experimental group (n=9) and a control group (n=9). The experimental group performed goal-oriented side walking training, and the control group performed general side walking training. The walking variables assessed were walking speed, stride length, and 10-m walking time. The balance variables assessed were foot pressure, timed up and go test (TUG), and Berg balance scale (BBS). These variables were measured before and after the exercise. Wilcoxon's signed-rank test was used to compare the participants' performances before and after the intervention in both groups. The Mann-Whitney U test was conducted for between-group comparisons after the intervention. Statistical significance was set at ${\alpha}=0.05$ Results: Walking speed, stride length, 10-m walking time, TUG, and foot pressure were significantly improved in both groups after the exercise (p<0.05). The between-group comparison showed a significant improvement in the goal-oriented side walking group (p<0.05). However, there were no significant between-group differences in 10-m walking times (p>0.05) and BBS (p=0.05). Conclusion: The results revealed that goal-oriented side walking training was effective in improving the balancing and walking ability of chronic stroke patients.

초음파 영상 데이터를 활용한 내장기 추나요법 시술 부위 탐색 연구 (A Study on the Exploration of Treatment Area of Visceral Chuna Manual Therapy Using Ultrasound Image Data)

  • Objectives This study was conducted to confirm anatomical information near the treatment areas of visceral chuna manual therapy and to secure stability and effectiveness during the treatment. Methods For 50 healthy adult men and women, a total of 13 ultrasound images were taken of the 7 treatment areas which are the representative treatment areas of visceral Chuna manual therapy. Results The treatment area of the bottom of the liver can be palpated around the right side ST19 and CV14. The treatment area of the gallbladder and the common bile duct can be palpated around the right side SP16 and ST20. The treatment area of the cardia and the pylorus can be palpated around the left side KI21, right side ST20, ST21, KI19, KI20, CV12, and CV13. The origin point of the mesentery root can be moved to the left and lower left from CV12 and can be palpated. The treatment area of the ileocecal valve and the cecum can be palpated around the right side SP14. The treatment area for the colic flexure can be palpated around the both side LR13. The treatment support point for the kidneys can be palpated around both side BL51. Conclusions It is thought that if the ultrasound image data from the meridians around the treatment site is used as an auxiliary, it will be more effective in terms of safety and effectiveness during the treatment of visceral Chuna manual therapy.

다층박막을 이용한 플라스틱 ITO 필름의 bending에 따른 전기적 특성 연구 (Study on Electrical Characteristics of Plastic ITO Film with Bending on Multi-barrier Films)

  • We investigated transmittance, surface characteristics, and resistivity according to bending of ITO(indium tin oxide) film with four other multi -harrier film). Transmission data of ITO film with four ITO films showed there was about large 90% transmission above 550nm wavelength at three multi-barrier structures. But, both-side hard coated structure showed relatively low 75% transmission above 550nm wavelength. And, surface images measured from SEM (scanning electron microscope) showed both-side hard coated structure have a tendency of more roughness. Also, resistivity change of four other multi-barrier film showed there was the lowest change at one-side hardcoated structure. Subsequently, with result of resistivity change according to position, we knew the resistivity change of the center increased rapidly than that of the edge.

  • We experienced two case of persistent Horner's syndrome which might be side effect of stellate ganglin block(SGB). Case one, a 35 year old male patient with severe pain and hyperesthesia of the right thumb. We performed repeated SGB with 1% mepivacaine 5 ml on the right side daily. After 9 times of SGB, he had continued ptosis, photophobia for one month and miosis for 6 months. Second case, the patients was a 21 year old male. He visited at our pain clinic to be cured of both sudden deafness which had begun two week ago. We performed SGB on both sides alternatively twice a day. About a week later, hearing ability of the left ear was recovered. After then we performed SGB only the right side. 34 SGB was performed in two months after that he got persistent Horner's syndrome.

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of PNF of irradiation using an indirect treatment of the stroke patient's static weight support and walking speed. Methods : Was carried out a total of nine different the PNF method of treatment for patients with left hemiplegia stroke. PNF of treatment is not in the non-paralyzed side of the trunk and upper and lower extremities by applying resistance and increased strength of the affected side. Assessment of treatment weight support both feet measured and modified using the timed up and go test were compared before and after treatment. Results : Treatment of the paralyzed side of the quadriceps and hamstring, gluteus medius muscle strength increased, and both sides of the foot body weight support improved walking speed was increased. Conclusion : Irradiation using PNF indirect treatment improves the function of the gait of stroke patients.

갑상선 수술중 반회 후두 신경의 해부학적 고찰 (Anatomical Considerations of the Recurrent Laryngeal Nerve During Thyroidectomy)

  • This study reports a prospective analysis of anatomical variations of recurrent laryngeal nerves during 300 thyroidectomies. During thyroidectomies for variable thyroid diseases. the course of recurrent laryngeal nerve was completely isolated from root of neck to the inferior comus of thyroid cartilage. In left side, nerve(53.7%) predominantly ran posterior to the inferior thyroidal artery(p<0.05) but in right side there was no predominant pattern. There were three nonrecurrent laryngeal nerves in the right side. About half of the cases in both sides(51.2% in right, 50.5% in left side) had one or more branches before terminating at cricothyroidal muscles. The average length of branches from inferior comus of thyroid cartilage to the origination of individual branch were l2.0mm in right side and 13.3mm in left side. In right side, majority(50.7%) of nerves ran though paratracheal space but difference did not reach the statistical but in left side, majority(88.3%) ran through tracheoesophageal groove and it was the dominant pattern(p<0.01), the overall status of passages of the nerve were relatively straight in left side(straight 87.8%, oblique 52.1%).

  • Attenuated PSM lithography 공정에서 overlay margin 확보 및 side-lobe 제거를 위해 기존의 Cr shield 방식의 단점인 복잡한 mask 제작공정과 구조를 단순화하기 위한 방법으로 scattering bar 방식을 제안하였다. Scattering bar는 Cr 보조패턴처럼 완전히 빛을 차단하는 것이 아니라 약간의 빛을 투과시켜 보강된 intensity를 상쇄하므로 side-lobe를 억제하는 방법으로 metal pattern을 생성할 때 scattering bar도 동시에 만들어 mask제작에 필요한 공정횟수를 줄이고 mask구조 역시 단순하게 한다 그리고 동시에 DOF(depth of focus)를 향상시킨다. Background clear pattern의 경우에 발생하는 side-lobe도 scattering bar를 이용하여 효율적으로 제거되었다.

만개기 단근처리를 통한 수분스트레스가 '후지'/M.9 사과나무의 수체반응 및 과실특성에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Water Stress through Root Pruning on Tree Growth and Fruit Quality in 'Fuji'/M.9 Apple Tree at Full Bloom)

  • 본 시험은 5~6월 수분스트레스가 사과나무의 광합성, 신초생장 및 과실품질에 미치는 영향을 구명하고자 실시하였다. 단근은 만개기(4월 30일)에 원줄기에서 30cm와 60cm 떨어진 곳에서 열 방향에 따라 양쪽 혹은 한쪽으로 처리 하였다. 무처리구의 5~6월 오후 평균 잎수분포텐셜은 -1.80MPa 이상을 유지하였지만, 단근 처리구들은 -1.80MPa 이하였다. 단근 처리 정도에 따른 5~6월경 오후 평균 잎 수분포텐셜은 양쪽 30cm 단근구(-2.06MPa), 양쪽 60cm 단근구(-2.02MPa), 한쪽 30cm 단근구(-1.91MPa) 순으로 낮았다. 한쪽 30cm 단근 처리와 양쪽 30cm 단근 처리는 5~6월 광합성속도를 각각 무처리구의 80% 및 65% 수준으로 감소시켰다. 또한, 한쪽 30cm 단근구의 무처리구 대비 총 신초장과 평균 과중의 감소 정도는 각각 25% 및 11% 정도였던 반면에 양쪽 30cm 단근구는 각각 45% 및 15% 정도였다. 그러나 가용성 고형물 함량 및 착색 정도는 단근 처리구들이 무처리구보다 높았으며, 양쪽 단근구들이 한쪽 단근구보다 더 높았다. 결론적으로, 5~6월 오후 평균 잎 수분포텐셜이 -1.80MPa 이하이면 과실비대가 감소되었고, -2.00MPa 이하이면 신초생장이 감소되었다.

중환자실 환자를 위한 소매형 억제대의 개발 및 적용 (Development and Application of the Sleeve-type Restraints for Intensive Care Unit Patients)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop sleeve-type restraints and to compare the sleeve-type and conventional wrist restraints. Methods: Forty four pairs of intensive care unit (ICU) patients and their families participated in the experiment. The nurses applied sleeve-type restraints to the patients in the experimental group, and wrist restraints to the control group. The trained research assistant measured ROMs, skin temperature, edema, and skin lesions of both upper extremities (UEs) before, 24, 48, and 72 hours after the restraints applied. The emotional response of family was measured 72 hours after the restraints applied. Thirty one ICU nurses evaluated the efficiency of both types of restraints. Results: Compared to the control group, changes of ROMs, edema, and skin abrasions on both U/Es of the experimental group indicated a significant difference in physical side effects. The emotional response scores of the experimental group were significantly lower than those of the control group. The mean efficiency scores for the sleeve-type restraints were significantly higher than those for the wrist restraints. Conclusion: The results indicate that the sleeve-type restraints are better than wrist restraints with respect to physical side effects, emotional responses of family members, and application efficiency.
