Sometimes scalability is described loosely as a synonym for capacity. A system has their own characteristics that differ from others. For each system, they may have different aspect to identify their scalability. Our focus here is in the sensor middleware. This paper described the analysis of scalability for sensor middleware. Summarizing approaches to keep the scalability in check and propose a measurement candidate to decide whether it's scalable or not.

This Paper deals with voltage variation and voltage regulation method in power distribution systems including cogeneration facilities. In order to deliver suitable voltages to many customers at the distribution substations. In this paper, an on-line real time modified voltage regulation method is proposed. The result from a case study show that the proposed method can be practical tool for the voltage regulation in distribution systems including cogeneration facilities.

전기설비에 있어서 저압회로의 과전류 보호기기로는 배선용 차단기, 기중 차단기, 한류 퓨즈, 전자 개폐기 등이 있으며, 이중 배선용 차단기의 중요한 차단원리인 한류차단원리 및 현상에 대해 상세한 분석이 필요하다. 단락이 발생하면 상당히 큰 단락전류가 흐르게 된다. 이 단락전류를 차단하는 경우 단락전류를 그대로 흐르지 않게 하여 본래의 단락전류를 작게 제어하면 차단시의 에너지는 작아진다. 본래의 단락전류를 작게 억제하여 차단하는 방법을 한류차단방식이라 하며 이러한 기구를 한류기구라 한다. 한류차단방식을 채용함으로써 동일 치수의 차단기라면 보다 큰 단락전류를 차단하는 것이 가능하다. 여기서는 한류차단특성의 이론적 해석과 단락전류에 의한 전자기적 영향, 기계적인 영향, 열적인 영향을 설명하고 이러한 영향을 최소화하기 위한 한류차단 원리 및 방법을 설명하고 분석하고자 한다.

수중에서와 같이 전자기파의 사용이 곤란한 환경에서 정보의 전달 방법으로 초음파를 사용하는 것이 일반적이다. 그러나 기존의 방법은 음파의 전파 경로 상에 있어서 잡음, 온도, 음속 등의 환경에 많은 영향을 받기 때문에 정확한 정보의 전달이 곤란한 경우가 있다. 본 연구에서는 전기적 용량으로 특성을 제어할 수 있는 2층 구조 압전 트랜스듀서에 있어서 전기적 용량 변화에 따른 공진 모드간의 효율 비의 변화를 이용하여 전파 경로 상의 환경 변화에 독립적인 원격 물리 계측법을 제안하고 그 가능성을 확인하였다.

산업용 발전기의 경우 시판되고 있는 발전기의 용량이 다양하다. 각 용량에 따라 내부 임피던스가 틀려, 하나의 제어기로 각기 다른 용량을 제어를 하는데 어려움이 있었다. 본 논문에서는 여자기의 내부 임피던스를 자동으로 계산하여 하나의 제어기로 각기 다양한 용량을 가진 발전기의 여자기의 전류를 제어하는 방법을 제안한다.

Facing the counterfeiting acts towards various products, many manufacturers implement ePedigree system to secure their supply chain. Using ePedigree, a distribution history including a valid product identifier from the manufacturer until the final retailer is recorded. And this ePedigree is signed by each involved supply chain party using digital signature. With this digital signature, any unauthorized alteration to the ePedigree document would generate a failed verification process. If there is a counterfeit product using a fake ePedigree document, it wouldn't be able to pass the verification process either. Hence, there wouldn't be any counterfeit product that could enter the legal supply chain and bought by the consumer. We are proposing to use ECDSA instead of RSA since it has faster performance and shorter key size. At a certain same security level, ECDSA only needs 163 bits, while RSA needs 1024 bits.

최근 대용량 스트림 데이터에 대한 요구사항이 발생하고 있다. 이때 모든 대용량 스트림을 실시간으로 좋은 서비스를 제공하는 것은 실제적으로 불가능하다. 즉 대용량 스트림 데이터에 대한 QoS(Quality of Service: 서비스 품질)이 중요한 이슈가 되고 있다. 이러한 QoS를 정의하기 위해서는 센서 스트림 데이터에 대한 우선순위 부여방법이 가장 원천적으로 중요한 사항이 된다. 현재 센서 네트워크상에서의 서비스 품질은 연구되고 있지만 미들웨어 레이어에서의 우선순위 부여 방법에 대한 연구가 미비하다. 센서 스트림은 자체적으로는 우선순위를 가질 수 없으므로 사용자 질의 우선순위와 센서 스트림의 발생 시간등을 고려하여 대용량 센서 스트림에 대한 우선순위를 부여하는 방법을 제안한다.

농 수산업 등 많은 신선 물류 환경에서는 저온저장고에 저장되는 물품을 신선하게 유지해야 한다. 신선도를 유지하기 위해 저온저장고 환경 모니터링 시스템을 이용하며, 센서를 이용하여 환경정보를 수집한다. 센서 데이터 수집의 목표는 저장되는 물품이 위치한 공간의 환경 정보를 모니터링 하는 것이지만, 물품에 센서를 부착하는 작업의 비효율성 또는 부착 불가능 등의 문제가 발생한다. 이를 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 물리적 센서를 가상 센서로 대체하여 가상 센서 데이터를 생성하는 것을 제안하며, 가상 센서 데이터 생성을 위한 기법 및 센서 데이터 처리 시스템으로 적용 방법을 기술한다.

Mediastinal fibrosis is pathologically characterized by chronic inflammation and fibrosis of mediastinal soft tissue. Mediastinal fibrosis is local expression of a family of systemic fibrosing syndroms. This can result in compression of adjacent mediastinal structures. Idiopathic fibrosing syndromes include retroperitoneal fibrosis, sclerosing cholangitis of the orbit and fibrosis of the thyroid gland(Riedel's struma). The cause of these disorders is obscure, in some instance there is an underlying malignancy, infection, history of drug ingestion, or trauma with retroperitoneal bleeding. Treatment of mediastinal fibrosis depends on structures involved by the fibrotic process. The disease is self limited in most case or improved by steroids uses. We experienced a case of idopathic sclerosing mediastinitis with orbital fibrous dysplasia of unknowm cause, which was confirmed by open lung biopsy, so reported it with a review of literature.

This paper addresses the stereoscopic 3D broadcasting technology that delivers the 3DTV contents through the digital cable networks. In order to convey the 3D contents via DCA TV network, specifications of 3D video format, compression, multiplexing, signalling and transport are to be developed. Since 3D has some constraints unlike 2D, it is required to be well designed by considering the capacity of the additional view and the backward/forward compatibility. This paper goes with the latest trends of 3D standard, requirements and service scenarios and then covers the 3D format, compression, multiplexing and signaling, service information and transport/reception technologies.
