가시납지리 (Acanthorhodeus gracilis)의 골격학적 연구(硏究) (Study on Osteological Characteristics of Acanthorhodeus gracilis)

  • 납자루아과(亞科)에 속하는 가시납지리(Acanthorhodeus gracilis)의 두골(頭骨), 척주(脊柱), 지느러미 골격을 조사하였다. 두개부(頭蓋部)에 천문이 없으며, 상사골(上篩骨)의 전단에 돌기가 없고, 안와설골(眼窩楔骨)은 2개로 되어 있다. 기저후두골(基底後頭骨) 돌기(突起)는 전반부에서부터 발달하였고, 상후두골(上後頭骨)은 높은 삼각형 형태의 돌기를 갖고 있으며, 미설골(尾舌骨)은 선단(先端)이 2분기(分技)되고 수평판(水平板)과 수직판(垂直板)의 후방(後方)이 넓어지며 후연(後緣)이 돌출되어 있다. 인두치(咽頭齒)는 1열로 인두치식(咽頭齒式)은 5 - 5이며 4개의 유리치(遊離齒)를 갖고 있다. 편대(扁帶)에는 오훼골(烏喙骨) 구멍이 없으며, 미골추체(尾骨推體)에는 미신경골(尾神經骨)이 나타나지 않고, 길고 가느다란 후요대돌기(後腰帶突起)를 갖는다. 유리신경간련(遊離神經間練)은 넓은 판상(板狀)이고, 신경간극(神經間棘)은 14~15개이며 제1~제4신경간극(神經間棘)은 하나의 기기골을 나머지는 두 개의 기기골을 기부(基部)에 갖고 있고, 혈관간극(血管間棘)은 11~12개이며 제1~제 4혈관간극(血管間棘)은 하나의 기기골을 나머지는 두 개의 기기골을 갖고있다.

Evaluation of Inflammation Parameters in Philadelphia Negative Chronic Myeloproliferative Neoplasia Patients

  • Background: Chronic myeloproliferative diseases are clonal stem cell diseases which occur as a result of uncontrollable growth and reproduction of hematopoietic stem cells, which are the myeloid series source in bone marrow. Recent studies have suggested that chronic inflammation can be a triggering factor in the clonal change in chronic myeloproliferative neoplasia (CMPN). In our study, we evaluated the existence of a chronic inflammation process in our Philadelphia negative (Ph-)CMPN patients using inflammation parameters in combination with demographic, laboratory and clinical characteristics of the patients. Materials and Methods: Demographic characteristics, clinical and laboratorial data, and thrombosis histories of 99 Ph-CMPN patients, who were diagnosed at our outpatient clinic of hematology in accordance with WHO 2008 criteria, were analyzed retrospectively,with 80 healthy individuals of matching gender and age included as controls. Complete blood counts, sedimentation, C reactive protein (CRP), JAK V617F gene mutations, abdomen ultrasound images and previous thrombosis histories of these patients were retrospectively analyzed. Results: Ph-CMPN and healthy control groups included 99 and 80 cases, respectively. PV, ET and MF diagnoses of patients were 43 (%43.4), 44 (44.4%) and 12 (12.1%), respectively. JAK V617F gene mutation was found to be positive in 64 (71.1%) of all cases and in 27(65.8%), 32 (82%), 5 (50%) of the cases in PV, ET and PMF groups, respectively. Thrombosis was determined as 12 (12%) in the entire group, 12.5% in the JAK V617F negative and 15.3% in the positive patients, with no statistical significance (p=0.758). No significant difference was observed between patients with and without previous thrombosis history in respect to hemogram parameters, sedimentation and CRP (p>0.05), neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR), erythrocyte distribution width (RDW), mean platelet volume (MPV) and sedimentation levels of the patient.

『맥경(脈經)』의 소아과학(小兒科學) 내용 연구 - 「권제구(卷第九)·평소아잡병증제구(平小兒雜病證第九)」를 중심으로 - (A Study On Pediatrics Contents In 『Maijing』 -Focusing On 「Chapter 9: Determining Pediatric Diseases 9th」-)

  • Objectives : To study the pediatric contents in the 『Maijing』, the most comprehensive compilation of pulse theory. Methods : First, the original meaning was understood comprehensively through careful translation of the original text. Next, the original texts from which 『Maijing』 quoted certain verses were traced. Then, contents of 『Maijing』 were analyzed through comparison with contents from later period texts such as 『Beijiqianjinyaofang』, 『Zhubingyuanhoulun』, 『Xiaoeryaozhengzhijue』, 『Zhengzhizhunsheng』. Results : The study of pediatric contents of Wangshuhe's 『Maijing·Chapter9·Determining Pediatric Diseases 9th』 revealed that he set the standards of 'normal pulse' in terms of number of pulsation and pulse xiang[脈象] differently for children compared to adults. He summarized the most common disease patterns to be wind epilepsy[風癎], indigestion of breast milk[乳不消], and fright seizure[客忤氣], and described the pulses that reflected these conditions's physical characteristics. He also described the pulse and symptom patterns of 'growth fever[變蒸]' and 'heat in bone part[骨間有熱]' based on his observation, which contents were quoted and developed in 『Zhubingyuanhoulun』 and 『Xiaoeryaozhengzhijue』. For other miscellaneous pediatric conditions, he quoted prior texts such as 『Lingshu』 while adding words or making modifications to better reflect characteristics of children based on his observations in clinical pediatrics. Conclusions : It is concluded that 『Maijing·Chapter9·Determining Pediatric Diseases 9th』 not only describes pulse diagnostics but reflects in its contents pediatric theories and clinical knowledge of the Jin(晉)period, which affected pediatrics development of following periods.

Mg 합금 유전양극에 의한 온수Boiler의 음극방식특성에 관한 연구(1) (Study on the Cathodic Protection Characteristics of Hot Water Boiler by Mg-Alloy Galvanic Anode(1))

  • 본 연구에서는 수도수 중에서 Mg합금유전양극에 의한 연강재 온수보일러의 음극방식특성을 연구한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1) 온수보일러 관체의 개로전위에서나 전위가 높은 구간에서 모재의 부식전류밀도가 용접부위의 부식전류밀도보다 더 적게 배류된다. 2) 주조된 표면 그대로의 Mg합금 유전양극의 전류밀도는 주조된 표면을 연마한 상태의 Mg합금 유전양극의 전류밀도보다 더 많이 배류된다. 3) Mg합금 유전양극으로부터 거리가 멀어질수록 연강재 온수보일러의 음극방식전위는 높게 나타나고, 음극방식시간이 경과하면서 방식전위는 높게 나타나다가 6-10일 이후부터 방식전위는 안정되고 있다.

유한요소 모델을 이용한 중이의 소리전달 특성 해석 (Finite Element Analysis of Sound Transfer Characteristics for Middle Ear)

  • 본 연구에서는 인간중이의 소리전달특성 계산을 위한 유한요소모델을 개발하였다. 이소골의 형상을 얻기 위하여 한국인 사체에서 추출한 측두골을 마이크로 CT 촬영하여 3 차원 입체모델로 변환하였다. 유한요소모델은 이소골, 고막, 인대와 근육 등을 포함하여 구성하였다. 유한요소모델을 이용하여 고막에서 등골족판까지의 응답함수를 계산한 후 측정값을 갖는 선행연구와 비교하였고 그 결과 10 kHz 주파수 대역까지 소리전달특성을 잘 표현하고 있음을 보였다. 또한 유한요소 모델을 구성하는 주요 물성인자의 변화에 대한 소리전달특성의 변화를 살피고 침등골관절의 강성값이 중이의 소리전달특성에 큰 영향을 미침을 보였다.

Biocompatibility and Surface Characteristics of PEO-treated Ti-40Ta-xZr Alloys for Dental Implant Materials

  • In this study, new titanium alloys were prepared by adding elements such as tantalum (Ta), zirconium (Zr) and the like to complement the biological, chemical and mechanical properties of titanium alloys. The Ti-40Ta-xZr ternary alloy was formed on the basis of Ti-40Ta alloy with the contents of Zr in the contents of 0, 3, 7 and 15 wt. %. Plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO), which combines high-voltage sparks and electrochemical oxidation, is a novel method to form ceramic coatings on light metals such as Ti and its alloys. These oxide film produced by the electrochemical surface treatment is a thick and uniform porous form. It is also composed of hydroxyapatite and calcium phosphate-based phases, so it has the characteristics of bone inorganic, non-toxic and very high bioactivity and biocompatibility. Ti-40Ta-xZr alloys were homogenized in an Ar atmosphere at $1050^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour and then quenched in ice water. The electrochemical oxide film was applied by using a power supply of 280 V for 3 minutes in 0.15 M calcium acetate monohydrate ($Ca(CH_3COO)_2{\cdot}H_2O$) and 0.02 M calcium glycerophosphate ($C_3H_7CaO_6P$) electrolyte. A small amount of 0.0075M zinc acetate and magnesium acetate were added to the electrolyte to enhance the bioactivity. The mechanical properties of the coated surface of Ti-40Ta-xZr alloys were evaluated by Vickers hardness, roughness test, and elastic modulus using nano-indentation, and the surface wettability was evaluated by measuring the contact angle of the coated surface. In addition, cell activation and differentiation were examined by cell culture of HEK 293 (Human embryonic kidney 293) cell proliferation. Surface properties of the alloys were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM), EDS, and X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD).

Prevalence and characteristics of pneumatized articular tubercle: First large series in Iranian people

  • Purpose: This study was performed to determine the prevalence and characteristics of pneumatized articular tubercle or eminence among a defined group of Iranian people. Materials and Methods: Digital panoramic radiographs of 1694 patients in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, Hamadan Dental School, Iran were evaluated retrospectively to detect the above lesion. Finally, 1563 radiographs were selected according to inclusion criteria. Then, a review was done of 10 large case series found using a MEDLINE search of the literature. Chi-squared test was used to analyze the differences in variables such as age, gender, laterality, and locularity in our case series. Results: The average age of our samples was $32.6{\pm}7.63$ years. Pneumatized articular tubercle was found in 98 cases, representing a prevalence of 6.2% with a mean age of $22.8{\pm}7.9$ and a range of 8 to 60 years. Sixty-four (65.3%) pneumatized articular tubercles were unilateral, with 30 lesions on the right and 34 on the left side. Bilateral lesions were found in 34 (34.7%) patients. 52 (53.06%) of the pneumatized articular tubercles were of the unilocular type and 46 (46.94%) were multilocular. The results showed no statistically significant differences regarding age (p=0.454), gender (p=0.634), laterality (p=0.252), or locularity (p=0.807) among the samples. Conclusion: Among ten large case series from other countries, the prevalence of pneumatized articular tubercle (6.2%) in Iranian patients was higher than that of all eight of the case series that used the same detection method as the present study of panoramic radiography.

IEEE 1394 네트웍에서 실시간성 보장을 위한 디바이스 드라이버 소프트웨어 구조 설계 및 구현 (A Design and Implementation of Device Driver Architecture of IEEE 1394 Network Adaptor for Guaranteeing Real-Time Characteristics)

  • 핫 플러깅과 네트웍 자동 재구성, 등시성 전송 기능을 지원하는 IEEE1394는 멀티미디어 디지털 홈 네트웍의 표준이 되었다. 특히 최근 IEEE 1394 프로토콜이 흠 씨어터 서비스와 같은 QoS 보장형 멀티미디어 네트웍, 실시간 통신 기능을 가지는 디지털 계측 제어 프로토콜과 연동되는 환경에서 백본 네트웍 프로토콜, 혹은 실시간 코바(CORBA) 와 같은 실시간성을 지원해야 하는 미들웨어의 물리계층 프로토콜 등에 사용되면서 네트웍 디바이스 드라이버 수준에서의 실시간성 보장이 요구되고 있다. 실시간성을 보장하기 위해 IEEE 1394 네트웍 디바이스 드라이버는 우선 순위 기반의 패킷 처리 기능과 1394의 등시성 통신의 주기에 기반한 등시성 버퍼관리 기능의 지원이 필요하다. 그러나 기존 상용 OS의 네트웍 디바이스 드라이버는 등시성 전송과 같은 IEEE 1394의 특성을 제대로 반영하지 못하며 실시간 통신을 지원하지 않는다. 본 논문에서는 IEEE 1394 디바이스 드라이버 수준에서 실시간 전송을 보장하기 위한 네트웍 디바이스 드라이버의 구조를 제안한다.

투라치, Trachipterus ishikawae Jordan & Snyder, 1901의 형태 및 골격 (Description of Morphology and Osteology of the Slender Ribbonfish, Trachipterus ishikawae Jordan & Snyder, 1901)

  • 이 연구는 투라치의 형태 및 골격 관찰을 위해 2017년에 여수시 돌산도와 부산에서 채집한 3개체를 대상으로 외부형태를 관찰하고 내부 골격을 삶아 채골하여 관찰하였다. 형태적 특징은 다음과 같다. 몸은 길고 측편되어 있었고, 위턱은 앞으로 돌출됐다. 체색은 은백색을 띠고 있었고, 눈은 크며, 가슴지느러미와 꼬리지느러미는 등쪽으로 향해 있었다. 작은 돌기들이 배쪽에 머리 뒤부터 꼬리까지 있었다. 새파 수는 (3~4)+(7~8)개였다. 등지느러미 줄기는 185~190개였고, 가슴지느러미는 12~13개, 꼬리지느러미에는 9개의 연조와, 5+2개의 짧은 극조가 있었다. 골격 특징은 다음과 같다. 주상악골은 길고 4개의 이빨이 있었다. 치골은 삼각형 모양이었고, 간새개골과 하새개골은 크고 넓었으며, 5개의 새조골이 있었다. 후쇄골은 가늘고 길게 발달 되어있었다. 척추골은 79~80개였고, 후방 추골은 길었으며, 미부봉상골에는 5~6개의 돌기가 있었다.

Surface Characteristics of Anodized Ti-3wt%, 20wt%, and 40wt%Nb Alloys

  • In biomedical implants and dental fields, titanium has been widely utilized for excellent corrosion resistance and biocompatibility. However, Ti and its alloys are nonbioactive after being implanted in bone. In this study, for the purpose of improvement in biocompatibility the anodic $TiO_2$ layer on Ti-xNb alloys were fabricated by electrochemical method in phosphate solution, and the effect of Nb content on the pore size, the morphology and crystallinity of Ti oxide layer formed by the anodic oxidation method was investigated. The Ti containing Nb up to 3 wt%, 20 wt% and 40 wt% were melted by using a vacuum furnace. The sample were cut, polished, and homogenized for 24 hr at $1050^{\circ}C$ for surface roughness test and anodizing. Titanium anodic layer was formed on the specimen surface in an electrolytic solution of 1 M phosphoric acid at constant current densities ($30mA/cm^2$) by anodizing method. Microstructural morphology, crystallinity, composition, and surface roughness of oxide layer were observed by FE-SEM, XRD, EDS, and roughness tester, respectively. The structure of alloy was changed from $\alpha$-phase to $\beta$-phase with increase of Nb content. From XRD results, the structure of $TiO_2$ formed on the Ti-xNb surface was anatase, and no peaks of $Nb_2O_5$ or other Nb oxide were detected suggesting that Nb atoms are dispersed in $TiO_2$-based solid solution. Surface roughness test and SEM results, pore size formed on surface and surface roughness decreased as Nb content increased. From the line analysis results, intensity of Ti peak was high in the center of pore, whereas, intensity of O peak was high in the outside of pore center.
