The purpose of the present study is to develop a grading deviation, which is appropriate for the body type of women in thirties, by analyzing the three-dimensional body type. The materials for the study were adopted from the body measurement data of women in the age group of 30 to 39 years old, provided from Size Korea. By reflecting the factor analysis results using the three-dimensional shape measurement, deviations were derived. First, six factors influencing the changes in human body shape were derived as waist-hip length factor, bust-waist shape factor, back protrusion back shoulder factor, bust length factor, shoulder length factor, and frontal waist dart factor. The bust size and height, which can be easily utilized for the top original grading, were used for deriving a regression formula, and the deviation was set in accordance with the result. Second, by applying the deviation which reflects the changes in the body shape, the crimps which were generated due to the application of existing deviation were remarkably reduced, indicating that the grading of the present study is more fitting than the existing one. The deviation derived by the analysis of actual increase and decrease of body size was more fitting than the existing one. This was proved by actual wearing experiment, which represents the significance of this study.
BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: The body composition changes in aging increased the risk of metabolic disorder. Recent dietary studies have increasingly focused on the correlations between dietary patterns and chronic diseases to overcome the limitations of traditional single-nutrient studies because nutrients in food have complex relations that interact. SUBJECTS/METHODS: This study was conducted to classify a dietary pattern among Korean elderly using cluster analysis and to explore the relationships between dietary patterns and body composition changes in Korean elderly aged 65 years or older. The study subjects (n=1,435) were individuals who participated in the Korean National Health Examination and Nutrition Survey (KNHANES) in 2011. RESULTS: There were three dietary patterns derived by cluster analysis in this study: 'Traditional Korean' (37.49% of total population), 'Meat and Alcohol' (19.65%) and 'Westernized Korean' (42.86%). The (1) 'Traditional Korean' pattern was characterized by high consumptions of white rice and low protein, low fat, and low milk products, while (2) 'Westernized Korean' pattern ate a Korean-style diet base with various foods such as noodles, bread, eggs and milk, (3) 'Meat and Alcohol' pattern had high consumptions of meat and alcohol. In body composition changes, compared with the 'Traditional Korean' pattern, the 'Meat & alcohol' pattern was associated with a 50% increased risk of having elevated BMI ($kg/m^2$), 'Westernized Korean' pattern was associated with a 74% increased abnormality of ASM/Wt (kg) by logistics analysis. Most of the Korean adult population continues to follow ether a traditional Korean having beneficial effects for successful aging. However, the 'Traditional Korean' pattern showed low protein intake (0.7 g/kg), calcium intake, and vitamin D intake as well as low of appendicular skeletal muscle mass (ASM (kg)) among 3 groups. CONCLUSIONS: Considering the low ASM, consumption of protein, calcium and vitamin D should be increased for Korean elderly health body composition.
A precise understanding of the human form in static pose serves as the basis of designing clothing. When the human body is in motion, however, even an article of clothing designed to fit the human form in static pose can pull and change, thus restricting the body. In order to increase the fit of the clothing, which may be termed the second skin, its form and measurements therefore must be determined in correlation not only with the formal characteristics of the human body, in static pose but also with its functional characteristics in motion, as caused by the movements of the human body. In this study, the motion factor was selected as the primary basis for designing slacks with good fit in both static and moving states. By indentifying the areas in which lower limb movement cause significant changes in body surface lines, we suggest several application methods for designing slacks. Using unmarried female university students aged 18 - 24 as subjects, a total of 32 body surface categories (15 body surface lines and 17 body surface segment lines) were measured in one static and 9 movement poses. In particular, expansion and contraction levels and rates were measured and used in the analysis. The analysis first involved the calculation of the average measurement per body part in body surface line in static pose as well as of the average expansion and contraction levels and rates in 9 lower limb movements. Two-way MANOVA and multiple comparison analysis (Tukey) were conducted on movements and individual somatotypes regarding measurement per body part and expansion and contraction rates. Body parts whose measurements of body surface lines differed significantly in body surface line in static pose versus in movement were then identified. The results of this study are as follows. First, changes in body surface lines caused by lower limb movements were significant in all body surface lines of the lower trunk, both horizontal and vertical, with the exception of abdomen girth, midway thigh girth, ankle girth, hip length, and posterior knee girth. Second, significantly expanded 10 body surface lines in moving pose were detected and illustrated in table 4. These body parts should be studied in designing or pattern designing, especially for close-fitting pants, in using stretch fabric, and in sensory evaluation of good fit during movement.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the body composition, health status, and dietary behaviors of middle-aged women in a weight control program at a community health center. The study subjects were 66 middle-aged women who lived in Ansan city, and they participated in the program for 24 weeks. Anthropometries, blood pressure, and serum biochemical indices were measured. These measurements were taken both before and after the weight control program, and the data were analyzed using the SPSS 12.0 program. Weight, fat mass, body fat %, and the waist-hip ratio all decreased. According to the decreases in body fat %, blood pressure, serum biochemical indices and dietary behaviors were improved after the weight control program. Thus, this study demonstrated the desirable changes of a weight control program offered at a community health center, for health conditions and physical fitness.

Elastomers, which are engine mounts and body mounting rubbers, are traditionally designed for NVH use in vehicles, and they are designed to isolate specific unwanted frequencies. According to the measurement of the characteristics of engine mounts and body mounting rubbers, dynamic stiffness changes with respect to the driving miles accumulated in engine mounts and initial load in body mounting. This study looks at the variability in same engine mount properties, and the desired dynamic stiffness may increased with driving miles accumulated. And the dynamic stiffness of body mounting rubber changes very stiff above 150Hz.
This experiment was carried out to study the responses of cellular component of blood and bone marrow to cold and also the changes of coagulation during cooling. Forty-two mongrel dogs were subjected to hypothermia by ice-water surface cooling technique. Lowest body temperature ranged from 21-23 degree. Dogs were divided into 3 groups,Group I, 12 dogs: pentothal anesthesia for 3 hours, Group II, 20 dogs;hypothermic group and Group III,10 dogs;postsplenectomy hypothermic group. Results were summarized as follows: 1. Hemoglobin, hematocrit and red blood cell count significantly increased when animals were cooled, and increase was noted in similar magnitude among the animals of Group I. 2. White blood cell count extremely decreased after cooling and effect of splenectomy on white blood cell count was not apparent. No significant changes were seen among Group I. 3. Differential count of white blood cell when cooled showed relative increase of polymorphonuclear neutrophil and decrease of lymphocyte. 4. There was marked decrease of platelets when body temperature reached to 21-23degree and essentially. no changes was noted in Group I. 5. Clotting time, bleeding time, plasma prothrombin time, recalcification time, and fibrinolysis showed no significant changes when dogs were cooled. Clot retration and prothrombin consumption during hypothermia appeared to be poor. In Group II, bleeding time decreased after splenctomy and when body temperature was lowered, plasma prothrombin time, clot retraction, and prothrombin consumption decreased. Decreased bleeding time and poor clot retraction were noted in Group I. 6. It was found that megacaryocyte count decreased even though platelet count of peripheral blood markedly diminsished when animals were cooled. There was some tendency of erythroid hyperplasia noted during hypothermia.

Breast cancer surgery result in changes in clothing style due to changes in the size of the breast as well as body shape. This study provides basic data as a fashion therapy to improve the quality of life for breast cancer patients who have to change clothing habits after surgery. The regression results found that the most important factor are pain and the amount of breast loss for clothes style changes after breast cancer surgery. Breast cancer patients suffer pain relative to the proximity to the date of surgery and regardless of the breast cancer resection range. However, the changes in clothes style relates to the amount of pain and breast reduction range. The t-test results on the change of the clothing styles for before and after breast cancer surgery showed that women significantly prefer comfortable clothes with sleeves and consider a closure style on clothes to put on and take off instead of clothes that are tight-fitting, have thin fabric or deep neck lines. Painful breast cancer results in women who prefer closure style on clothes, front closure clothes and garments that hide body shape. However, the larger reduction range of breast cancer patients and those with painful breast cancer prefer garments that hide body shape and are looser size clothes with sleeves.
This study conducted 8 weeks of foam roller & mobility, core, and weight training for 9 middle school soccer players 5 times a week for 90 minutes to determine the effect on changes in body composition, thigh circumference, basic physical strength, and functional movement. To analyze the data according to the results of this study, SPSS 25.0 statistical program was used for analysis, and the mean (M) and standard deviation (SD) were calculated to present the descriptive statistics of all dependent variables. In addition, to analyze the difference between before and after exercise, it was verified using a paired t test. The statistical significance level (α) in all reasoning statistics was set to less than 5%. As a result, there were no significant changes in body composition and thigh circumference through 8 weeks of training. However, there were significant changes in agility and muscular endurance, and the total score for functional movement changes was significantly increased, and statistically significant changes were observed in three variables. Therefore, complex training is effective in changing the physical strength and functional movement of middle school soccer players, and further research will be required for a control group and various complex exercises.
The aim of this study was to investigate the combined effects of aerobic training and diacylglycerol ingestion on lipid profiles and resting metabolic rate changes in obese men. The subjects were divided into 3 groups: the Diacylglycerol group (D, n=6), aerobic training group (E, n=6), and diacylglycerol ingestion and aerobic training group (DE, n=6). Diacylglycerol was ingested and aerobic exercise training performed for 12 weeks. The information from the research was calculated through a Windows SPSS/PC+ Ver. 12.0K statistics package to standardize the means and deviations for each group. Then, two-way repeated measures ANOVA was used to evaluate the research hypothesis. Percent body fat, blood lipid profiles and resting metabolic rate changes were tested to evaluate the combined effect of aerobic exercise training and diacylglycerol ingestion. The results of this study were as follows; DG ingestion was shown to have a positive effect on body weight and body fat, while having a negative effect on resting metabolic rate changes. However, aerobic training was shown to have a positive effect on all factors including body weight, body fat, and resting metabolic rate. In conclusion, DG ingestion and exercise training were not shown to have synergistic effects on resting metabolic rate changes, percent body fat and lipid profiles, while aerobic exercise training was shown to have a positive effect on resting metabolic rate changes, percent body fat, and lipid profiles. To investigate the therapeutic effect of DG ingestion and aerobic exercise for obese men, analysis of catecholamine, cAMP, HSL, or insulin sensitivity should be considered.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify differences between intake and output balance and body weight changes and to identify factors related to differences in critically ill patients. Methods: The participants for this descriptive correlational study were 65 medical surgical ICU patients. The data were collected from patient medical records. Results: Mean age of the patients was 63.80 years (${\pm}15.21$). Body weight changes for 48 hours averaged 281.54g (${\pm}2210.48$). I&O balance for 48 hours corrected for insensible loss averaged 398.1ml. Differences ranged from 45mL to 7,535mL. In the distribution of absolute difference between body weight change and intake and output balance, only 40% of the patients were within less than 1,000 mL. Factors relating to accurate measure of intake and output were ventilation methods, respiration patterns, and edema status. Conclusion: Although mean values of weight change and I&O balance for all patients were very close, the range of differences was very wide indicating that, for many patients, intake and output is not an appropriate indicator of body fluid balance. Therefore, because of the frequency fever and/or hyperventilation, nurses need to use caution when using intake and output balance only to estimate current body fluid status for critically ill patients.
