This paper proposes an intuitive real-time robot control system using human body movement. Recently, it has been developed that motion generation for humanoid robots with reflecting human body movement, which is measured by a motion capture. However, in the existing studies about robot control system by human body movement, the detailed structure information of a robot, for example, degrees of freedom, the range of motion and forms, must be examined in order to calculate inverse kinematics. In this study, we have proposed Associative Motion Generation as humanoid robot motion generation method which does not need the detailed structure information. The associative motion generation system is composed of two neural networks: nonlinear principal component analysis and Jordan recurrent neural network, and the associative motion is generated with the following three steps. First, the system learns the correspondence relationship between an indication and a motion using training data. Second, associative values are extracted for associating a new motion from an unfamiliar indication using nonlinear principal component analysis. Last, the robot generates a new motion through calculation by Jordan recurrent neural network using the associative values. In this paper, we propose a real-time humanoid robot control system based on Associative Motion Generation, that enables user to control motion intuitively by human body movement. Through the task processing and subjective evaluation experiments, we confirmed the effective usability and affective evaluations of the proposed system.
Purpose: To investigate the temperature-based differences of cortical bone ultrashort echo time MRI (UTE-MRI) biomarkers between body and room temperatures. Investigations of ex vivo UTE-MRI techniques were performed mostly at room temperature however, it is noted that the MRI properties of cortical bone may differ in vivo due to the higher temperature which exists as a condition in the live body. Materials and Methods: Cortical bone specimens from fourteen donors ($63{\pm}21$ years old, 6 females and 8 males) were scanned on a 3T clinical scanner at body and room temperatures to perform T1, $T2^*$, inversion recovery UTE (IR-UTE) $T2^*$ measurements, and two-pool magnetization transfer (MT) modeling. Results: Single-component $T2^*$, $IR-T2^*$, short and long component $T2^*s$ from bi-component analysis, and T1 showed significantly higher values while the noted macromolecular fraction (MMF) from MT modeling showed significantly lower values at body temperature, as compared with room temperature. However, it is noted that the short component fraction (Frac1) showed higher values at body temperature. Conclusion: This study highlights the need for careful consideration of the temperature effects on MRI measurements, before extending a conclusion from ex vivo studies on cortical bone specimens to clinical in vivo studies. It is noted that the increased relaxation times at higher temperature was most likely due to an increased molecular motion. The T1 increase for the studied human bone specimens was noted as being significantly higher than the previously reported values for bovine cortical bone. The prevailing discipline notes that the increased relaxation times of the bound water likely resulted in a lower signal loss during data acquisition, which led to the incidence of a higher Frac1 at body temperature.
Followings are the analysis of the two areas'costumes, the Renaissance and Baroque, as the analytic and synthetic structures. From the analytic structure of the costumes, the analytic body and of the Renaissant man's outer garments is manteau, pourpoint, trousses, bas du chausses, and codpiece of the hat is toque. And the analyic body of the Baroque, man's costume is pourpoint and rhingrave, of the under garments is chemise, of the hat is felt, of the shoes is shoes. In the analytic structure of woman's costume, the analytic body of the Renaissant outer garments is robe, of the under garments is corps-pique, chemise, and vertugadin, of the hat is french hood. And the analytic body of the Baroque outer garments is skirt and overdress, of the undergarments is corps-baleine. The results we have got from the analysis of the synthetic structures of the costumes is that other analytic elements are chosen and united as the component features of the major analytic elements among the analytic elements in the tables of 3-1, 3-2, 3-3, and 3-4. If we compare the two analytic bodies of the two areas, we can see that the names of the costumes were changed and the component features about the names were changed according to an area, too. And we can see the synthetic structures were changed according to the analytic body in the analytic structures were changed according to the analytic body in the analytic structures with the synthetic structures.

An analysis method is suggested and experimentally studied in order to solve a vibration problem of a flexible structure while it is moving. In this method, substructure synthesis method, modal analysis method and Newmark's integral method were used. Total deformation of a structure was composed of quasistatic component and dynamic component. Rigid body modes were considered in calculation of dynamic component. Combining those two component, deformation behavior and a real structural model of a transfer feeder showed good agreements with computational results.
Anthropometric data is most basic materials in the all studies related with it. Therefore, in anthropometric data, not only consideration of the state of variance, but more various analysis is needed. This study selected the 13 parts that properly show a whole characteristics of human body and, anthropometric data were obtained through the actual measurements for male and female workers who were engaged in production factory. And, to interpret anthropometric data, principal component analysis of multivariate analysis methods was applied.
A study was conducted to determine the interdependence among the conformation traits of 28 "Pallaresa" cows using principal component analysis. Originally 21 body linear measurements were obtained, from which eight traits are subsequently eliminated. From the principal components analysis, with raw varimax rotation of the transformation matrix, two principal components were extracted, which accounted for 65.8% of the total variance. The first principal component alone explained 51.6% of the variation, and tended to describe general size, while the second principal component had its loadings for back-sternal diameter. The two extracted principal components, which are traits related to dorsal heights and back-sternal diameter, could be considered in selection programs.
Body shape is the most influential factor in determining the quality of clothing fit. Women's body shape begins to change significantly in their mid-30s; therefore, this study aimed to classify and analyze the torso shapes of women aged 35-54 years. This study selected 200 3D body scans of women from the 8th Size Korea Survey database (2021). Using the Grasshopper algorithm developed in a previous study, 17 landmarks were automatically detected and 57 measurement values were generated. Using principal component analysis, 11 components (overall body size, upper body length, back protrusion, upper body slope, neck position, neck inclination, hip length, bust prominence, abdominal prominence, shoulder slope, and buttock prominence) were extracted. Three torso types were identified using K-means cluster analysis. The three body types were significantly different on nine component scores. Among the three torso types, Type 1 (37.5%) has the longest upper body and the flattest back and hips. Type 2 (31.0%) has the most curved back and forward upper body. Its abdomen is the flattest, and its shoulders are the most sloped. Type 3 (31.5%) has the shortest upper body, the most protruding hips, and the largest overall body size. This paper proposes two discriminant functions for identifying a new person's torso type.

Interactive computer-aided analysis of mechanical systems has recently been undergoing an evolution due to highly efficient computer graphics. The industrial implementation of state-of-the-art analytical developments in mechanisms has been facilitated by computer-aided design packages because these rigid-body mechanism analysis programs dramatically reduce the time required for linkage design. This paper proposes a component modular approach to computeraided kinematic motion analysis for general planar multiloop mechanisms. Most multiloop mechanisms can be decomposed into serveral components. The kinematic properties (position, velocity, and acceleration) of every node can then be determined from the kinematic analysis of the corresponding component modules by a closed-form solution procedure. In this paper, 8 types of modules are defined and formulations for kinematic analysis of the component modules are derived. Then a computer-aided kinematic analysis program is developed using the proposed approach and the solution procedure of an example shows the effectiveness and accuracy on the approach.

Dynamic analysis of a vehicle is carried out with rigid body and flexible body models. The chassis of the vehicle is treated as flexible body in the flexible body model, and vibration normal modes are considered to account for elastic deformation of the component. Using output from the modal analysis in the finite element program, input data for the dynamic analysis with flexible body is generated. To achieve the computational efficiency, SUPERELEMENT technique is used for the vehicle suspension subsisted. The computer simulation time with suspension superelement was much reduced due to the reduction of coordinates and no kinematic constraint in the system.
In this paper a systematic test procedure for evaluation of road-induced noise of a vehicle and guidelines for each test are presented. Also, a practical application of the test procedure to a small SUV is presented. According to the test procedure, all the tests were performed to evaluate road-induced booming noise that is in low frequency range. First of all the information on characteristics of road-induced noise was obtained through baseline test. Coupling effects between body structure and acoustic cavity of a compartment were obtained by means of modal tests for a structure and an acoustic cavity. Local stiffness of joint areas between chassis system and car-body was determined by test for measurement of input point inertance. Noise sensitivities of body joints to operational forces were obtained through test for measurement of noise transfer functions. Operational deflection shapes made us analyze behaviors of chassis system under running condition and then find sources of noise due to resonance of the chassis system. Finally, Principal Component Analysis and Transfer Path Analysis were utilized to investigate main paths of road-induced noise. In order to evaluate road-induced booming noise exactly, all of tests mentioned above should be performed systematically.
