  • To help the blind to find the information easily on World Wide Web, this research has tried to develop the device which enables us to convert HTML for the general into HTML for the blind. This program consists of the items as follows: 1. Web Robot to gather the internet browser and the general HTML. 2. Restoring DB by Parsing process 3. Multimedia editor for the use of web DB to add the literal and acoustic description to the editing function. 4. Convertor which gathers the DB and then changes into HTML for the blind. This project is designed to make it easy for the manager to establish the web site for the blind. We expect that this program will basically help the blind to overcome the inequality in the common information.

음향반향제거기에서 암묵신호분리를 이용한 동시통화처리 (Double Talk Processing using Blind Signal Separation in Acoustic Echo Canceller)

  • This paper is on an acoustic echo canceller solving the double-talk problem by using the blind signal separation technology. The acoustic echo canceller may be deteriorated or diverged during the double-talk period. So we use the blind signal separation to detect the double talking by separating the near-end speech signal from the mixed microphone signal. The blind signal separation extracts the near-end signal from dual microphones by the iterative computations using the 2nd order statistical character in the closed reverberation environment. By this method, the acoustic echo canceller operates irrespective of the double-talking. We verified performances of the proposed acoustic echo canceller in the computer simulations. The results show that the acoustic echo canceller with this algorithm detects the double-talk periods well, and then operates stably without diverging of the coefficients after ending the double-talking. The merits are in the simplicity and stability.

스테레오 음향반향제거기의 BSS 후처리방법 (Post Processing using Blind Signal Separation in Stereo Acoustic Echo Canceller)

  • This paper is on a stereo acoustic echo canceller with the blind signal separation for post processing. The convergence speed of the stereo acoustic echo canceller is deteriorated due to mixing two residual signals which are update signals of each echo canceller. To solve this problem, we are to use the blind signal separation(BSS) method separating the mixed signals after the echo cancellers. The blind signal separation method can extracts the source signals by means of the iterative computations with two input signals. We had verified performances of the proposed acoustic echo canceller for stereo through simulations. The results of simulations show that the acoustic echo canceller for stereo using this algorithm operates stably without divergence in the normal state. And, when the speech signals were inputted, this echo canceller achieved about 2dB higher ERLE with the BSS post processing method than without this method. This stereo echo canceller showed the best performance in the case of inputting the real voice signal.

  • This paper presents the computerised simulation of colour-blindness and proposes a colour enhancement technique to aid colour-blinded people to use Visual Display Units (VDU). With the red-green colour perception difficulties, the ISH model has been used to develop the algorithms. The simulator and colour enhancement have been tested by colour-blind people and compared to existing simulators for colour-blindness.

  • In this paper, we propose a new blind image watermarking method in wavelet domain. It is necessary to find out watermark insertion location in blind watermark. We use horizontal and vertical difference of LL components to select watermark insertion location, because increment or decrement of successive components is rarely changed in LL band. A pseudo-random sequence is used as a watermark. Experimental results show that the proposed method is robust to various kinds of attacks such as JPEG lossy compression, averaging, median filtering, resizing, histogram equalization, and additive Gaussian noise.

Near-Optimum Blind Decision Feedback Equalization for ATSC Digital Television Receivers

  • This paper presents a near-optimum blind decision feedback equalizer (DFE) for the receivers of Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) digital television. By adopting a modified trellis decoder (MTD) with a trace- back depth of 1 for the decision device in the DFE, we obtain a hardware-efficient, blind DFE approaching the performance of an optimum DFE which has no error propagation. In the MTD, the absolute distance is used rather than the squared Euclidean distance for the computation of the branch metrics. This results in a reduction of the computational complexity over the original trellis decoding scheme. Compared to the conventional slicer, the MTD shows an outstanding performance improvement in decision error probability and is comparable to the original trellis decoder using the Euclidean distance. Reducing error propagation by use of the MTD in the DFE leads to the improvement of convergence performance in terms of convergence speed and residual error. Simulation results show that the proposed blind DFE performs much better than the blind DFE with the slicer, and the difference is prominent at the trellis decoder following the blind DFE.

  • 시각장애인들은 외출을 하기 위해 보행 보조기기를 사용하고 있다. 또한, 최근에는 보행 보조기기뿐만 아니라 음성인식 명령기능을 탑재한 스마트폰도 이용하고 있다. 이러한 추세에 따라, 본 논문에서는 시각장애인 보행 보조를 위한 스마트 폰 케이스를 설계하고 구현하였다. 조도 센서와 스마트폰 카메라 플래시를 이용하여 어두운 장소에서 자신의 위치를 알려주는 자기 위치 알림 시스템과 초음파 센서를 이용하여 장애물을 감지하고 시각장애인들에게 음성으로 경고를 해주는 음성 경고 시스템을 제공한다. 이를 이용하면 시각장애인은 어두운 곳에서 자신의 위치를 알리고, 전방의 장애물을 피해갈 수 있어서 보다 안전하게 보행하여 사고를 방지할 수 있다.

Efficient Near-Optimal Detection with Generalized Sphere Decoder for Blind MU-MIMO Systems

  • In this letter, we propose an efficient near-optimal detection scheme (that makes use of a generalized sphere decoder (GSD)) for blind multi-user multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO) systems. In practical MU-MIMO systems, a receiver suffers from interference because the precoding matrix, the result of the precoding technique used, is quantized with limited feedback and is thus imperfect. The proposed scheme can achieve near-optimal performance with low complexity by using a GSD to detect several additional interference signals. In addition, the proposed scheme is suitable for use in blind systems.

공정한 은닉 KCDSA 서명에 기반한 추적 가능한 전자화폐 시스템

  • 은닉 서명 방식은 검증가가 보낸 메시지를 서명자가 그메시지 내용을 보지 못한 채 서명자로부 터 메시지 m에 대한 유효한 서명을 받도록 하는 프로토콜을 말한다. 이것은 만약 은행이 상점과 결탁하 더라도 동전에 대한 사용자를 추적할수 없다는 것을 의미한다. 그러나 사용자의 익명성이 보장되는 전 자화폐는 또한 돈세탁 돈 약탈 그리고 불법적인 구매 행위와 같은 각종 범죄행동을 용이하 게 한다. 이 에 본 논문에서는 국내 전자서명 표준인 KCDSA에 기반하여 공정한 은닉서명을 제안하고 이를 전자화 폐를 부정한 수단으로 이용한 사용자를 추적할수 있는 익명성 제어 기능을 가지고 있다. A blind signature scheme is a protocol allowing verifier to obtain a valid signature for a message m from a signer without him seeing the message. This means that the bank in collaboration with the shop cannot trace the electronic cash to user. However anonymous electronic cash also facilitates fraud and criminal acts such as money laundering anonymous blackmailing and illegal purchaes. Therefore in this paper we propose fair blind signature scheme based on KCDSA which is a domestic digital signature scheme and it apply a electronic cash system. In particularly a proposed electronic cash system have an anonymity control ability which trace a user who make use a electronic cash illegally in association with a trusted center.
