Synthesis of Bishydroxyethyl Ether of Bisphenol A(BHE-BPA) Through the Depolymerization of Polycarbonate (폴리카보네이트 해중합을 이용한 Bisphenol A계 Bishydroxyethyl Ether 화합물 생성 특성)

  • Recently, the waste of Polycarbonate(PC) is increase with the increase in demand of a polycarbonate. It is concerned with producing a new material and diol monomer, bishydroxyethyl ether of bisphenol A(BHE-BPA) through depolymerization of the polycarbonate waste at recycling. BHE-BPA can be used as a good raw material for the synthesis of polycarbonate type polyurethane. PC particles were depolymerized with base-catalyst NaOH, solvent EG, and ethylene carbonate(EC) was formed during the PC depolymerziation. EC was added to promote the conversion from bispenol-A to BHE-BPA. The characteristics of depolymeraion of polycarbonate as well as conversion of bispenol-A to BHE-BPA were investigated. BHE-BPA yield of 92% was obtained at temperature $220^{\circ}C$, 10% catalyst/PC mole ratio, 20 mmol of EC. BHE-BPA purity of better than 99% was achieved by crystallization of BHE-BPA.

Effects of PGE-AcAm on the Tensile and Impact Properties of DGEBA/MDA System (DGEBA/MDA계의 인장 및 충격 특성에 미치는 PGE-AcAm의 영향)

  • 에폭시 수지 계의 경화반응 속도를 증가시키고 기계적 물성을 향상시키기 위해 합성 pheny1 glycidy1 ether(PGE)-acetamide(AcAm)를 diglycidy1 ether of bispenol A(DGEBA)/4,4'-methylene dianiline(MDA)계에 도입하였다. PGE와 AcAm을 2:1의 몰비로 혼합한 후 18$0^{\circ}C$에서 1시간 반응시켜서 PGE-AcAm을 합성하였다. 5phr의 PGE-AcAm이 첨가되었을 때 인장강도가 15% 개선되었으며, 그 이후로는 PGE-AcAm을 합성하였다. 5phr의 PGE-AcAm이 첨가되었을 때 인장강도가 15% 개선되었으며, 그 이후로는 PGE-AcAm의 함량에 관계없이 거의 비슷한 값을 나타내었다. 반면에유리전이 온도(Tg)와 충격강도는 PGE-AcAm의 함량이 증가함에 따라 감소하였다. 파단면은 PGE-AcAm이 첨가됨으로써 더 복잡한 형상을 나타내었다.

Effect of Bisphenol A Administration on Semen Characteristic and Organ Weight in Mice (Bisphenol A 투여가 웅성 생쥐의 정액성상과 장기무게에 미치는 영향)

  • This study were performed to investigate the effect of Bisphenol A(BPA) administration on semen characteristic and body or organ weight in mice. In BPA administration for 15 days or 30 days, sperm concentration and viability were lower in group treated with BPA than in control group. The proportion of sperm abnormality were significantly(P<0.05) increased in groups administrated with BPA for 15 or 30 days than in control group. The administration of BPA in mice didn't affect the body and reproductive organ weight such as testis, epididymis, vasicular gland and coagulatin gland. The spleen weight were significantly affect, but liver and kidney weight were not affect in BPA administration groups for 15 days or 30 days This studies indicate that the short or long term BPA administration in mice were noxious effects on the semen characteristics and organ weight, but didn't affect body weight and reproductive organs.
