  • Test fishing was carried out using six kinds of different mesh sizes (20, 22, 24, 28, 35, 40mm) for springnet-pot to study bycatches according to the mesh size and catches survey was done for another one (mesh size : 22mm, entrance round : 350mm) in Geo-je & Tong-young waters of Korea. On the first sea experiment, it was thought that suitable mesh size of spring-net-pot catching conger-eel over 35cm with decreasing the catches of conger-eel (Conger myriaster) below 35cm was 24mm. On the second sea experiment, commercial catches were crabs (Charybdis bimaculata), octopus minor (Octopus variabilis) and others including conger-eel, and catches proportion was 60% of total catches weights. There was no big difference for the monthly catches. Self-consumption catches were 9 species including conger-eel below 35cm holding 50% of catches in the side of weights. There were 40% of bycatches for the catches weights and 63% for catches numbers in the 22mm mesh size of spring-net-pot having entrance round over 140mm. It showed that 50% of catches weights were discarded.

  • In this experiment, we did sampling 6 kinds of photovoltaic modules and analyzed the discrepancy of measurement results between l laboratory and 4 PV makers to have performance repeatability at Standard Test Condition(STC) condition. From the KIER's results, Korea's standard test laboratory, other laboratory showed -10% measurement variation. The causes came from correction of reference cell, test condition and the state of skill. Form the comparison test, we analyzed the problems. But three PV maker reduced measurement variation, other one PV maker and one test laboratory didn't improve the problems of correction of reference cell, test condition and the state of skill. Also, High Efficiency Module had a big discrepancy of -10.0$\sim$-6.2% among 3 laboratories which have a less than 10msec light pulse duration time. This made low spectrum response speed so the Fill Factor decreased maximum output power under 10msec light pulse duration time

  • There are various methods in the flat panel display manufacture. The cost reduction effect is very big in case of using the screen printing method. The screen printing method is much used in the process of forming PDP barrier and can apply to the process of arranging the pillars for maintaining the vacuum gap of the vacuum glazing panel. The pillar which is one of the core elements for comprising vacuum glazing maintains the vacuum gap overcoming the vacuum pressure difference with the atmospheric pressure generated in vacuum glazing. At the same time, the deformation phenomenon by vacuum pressure is relived. In this paper, by using FEM about three considered in the pillar design and arrangement kinds of limiting factors, the simulation was performed. The pillar optimum arrangement method at within the maximum allowable tensile stress and heat transfer coefficients according to the arrangement try to be presented based upon the analyzed result data review and this validity tries to be verified by FEM.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the torso patterns by analyzing sensory evaluations. The anthropometric measurements for female college students were obtained between March and October in 1998, and a total of 197 anthropomatric data was used for the somatotype analysis. The appearance and fit of three kinds of torso patterns(ESMOD, FIT, and Muller & sohn) were evaluated by expert panel and the subjects. The results of the anthropometric measurements and sensory evaluations are as follows; The mean height of the anthropometric data for 197 students is 158.98cm. The largest proportion of the three somatotypes(H, M and A type) is big hip type(A type) consisting of 47.7% of all the respondents. The result of the torso pattern evaluations by expert panel indicates that the ESMOD pattern obtains the highest rating in general acceptability. A significant difference(p<.05) in the responses to two questions, the placement of the waist dart, and the gapping & creasing at back hip area was found. The ESMOD and Muller & sohn patterns are given the highest rating in the general acceptability. The result of the evaluation was obtained by the subjects. (Korean J. • This research is focused on how to divide the upper chest type and to find out the amount to be removed at the neckline according to the different upper chest type and different neckline depth. The result of the research is as followed. 1. In the result of the factor analysis, the upper chest could be explained by six factors such as the shape factor of the upper chest, shoulder curve factor, shoulder sloping factor, space factor from shoulder to waist, upper chest slope factor, and the bust size factor. 2. The shape of the upper chest could be divided by three groups. The first group is characterized as lagging and bent backward shoulder, slight slope of upper chest, and small bust. The second group is comparatively curved at the upper chest and big bust. The third group is rising and bent forward shoulder, slight curved upper chest. 3. The amount to be removed at the different neckline depth and in these three types of upper chest had a difference due to the differences of the upper chest shape containing the shoulder shape.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyse the influence of mother's characteristics on elementary school students' attitudes toward science. Elementary school students (N=667) and their mothers (N=681) were selected from three other regions, big city, small city, and country. Attitudes toward science and supports for scientific activities were measured by two kinds of instruments. The instrument for the measurement of attitudes toward science includes three scales: cognition about value of science, affection toward science & science learning, and cognitive participation in scientific activities. And the instrument to measure parents' support for scientific activities includes two scales: indirect support and direct support. This research showed that mothers' various characteristics resulted in a difference in students' attitudes toward science. And there were positive correlations between students' attitudes toward science and their mothers' attitudes toward science and support for scientific activities. Also mothers' attitudes toward science and support for scientific activities affected students' attitudes. Especially, mothers' personal interest in science and her mental and physical supports for children's scientific activities had a close relation with students' attitudes toward science.

  • This paper is concerned with the development of a new method for making and separating ice and saving floated ice by installing an evaporation plate at in-water within a storage tank. In a conventional harvest-type ice storage system, a tank saves ice by separating a formed ice from an installed evaporation plate, which is located above an ice storage tank as an ice storage system. A new harvest-type method shows very good heat transfer efficiency than a convectional method. It is because the evaporation panel is directly contacted with water in a storage tank. Also, at a conventional system a circulating pump, a circulating water distributor and a piping are installed, but these components are not necessary in a new method. In this study two kinds of ice storage systems are experimentally investigated to study the thermal characteristics of ice storage tanks. The results showed discharge of cold capacity of new type indicated the high values about 30~40% based on five time of drive, the temperature difference of inlet/outlet occurred the big range about $1.3^{\circ}C$. So, the new type which makes ice in water showed superiorly.

  • Since modernization period thru Japanese colonial era the modern architect began to play a important role for Korean housing architecture. So called 'House as an Art Work', detached houses by prominent architects, belong to a meaningful sector in Korean modern housing architecture. The harmony with tradition was always big issue for such works. This study aims to understand how paradigms for tradition were interpreted with the changes of the time. The analysis showed various tryout by architects, that concretize traditional characteristics in their work. For example, traditional lifestyle were clearly reflected in the floorplan during 30's and 40's. In the 70's building mass and formative roof design were emphasized to present traditional image. As well as it represented primitive esthetic and vernacular decoration. In addition, expressive tendency, that demonstrates korean sentiment through material and its texture, got a preference. Since latter half of 80's some traditional architectural elements were modernized and space characteristics were newly created from acculturation. Furthermore the philosophy of "Subdivision of building wings and Emptiness" follows this trend. This type made a courtyard and connected articulated building masses each other. "Sympathy with Nature" were most essential for a traditional houses in contrast with western architecture. Many architects today make various method to bring nature into interior space and to contemplate nature In the house. Such kinds of adaptation to tradition could be understood as a unique process to manifest identity of Korean modern houses.

  • Weighted network link prediction is a challenge issue in complex network analysis. Unsupervised methods based on local structure are widely used to handle the predictive task. However, the results are still far from satisfied as major literatures neglect two important points: common neighbors produce different influence on potential links; weighted values associated with links in local structure are also different. In this paper, we adapt an effective link prediction model-local naive Bayes model into a weighted scenario to address this issue. Correspondingly, we propose a weighted local naive Bayes (WLNB) probabilistic link prediction framework. The main contribution here is that a weighted cluster coefficient has been incorporated, allowing our model to inference the weighted contribution in the predicting stage. In addition, WLNB can extensively be applied to several classic similarity metrics. We evaluate WLNB on different kinds of real-world weighted datasets. Experimental results show that our proposed approach performs better (by AUC and Prec) than several alternative methods for link prediction in weighted complex networks.

  • I broadband ISDN every packet will show different result if it would be processed according to its usage by the server. That is, normal data won't show big differences if they would be processed at normal speed. But it will improve the quality of service to process some kinds of data - for example real time video or voice type data or some data for a bid to by something through the internet - more fast than the normal type data. solution for this problem was suggested - priority packets. But the analyses of them are under way. Son in this paper a switching system for an output queuing model in a single server was assumed and some packets were given priorities and analysed. And correlation, simulating real life situation, was given too. These packets were analysed through three cases, first packets having no correlation, second packets having only correlation and finally packets having priority three cases, first packets having no correlation, second packets having only correlation and finally packets having priority and correlation. The result showed that correlation doesn't affect the mean delay time and the high priority packets have improved mean delay time regardless of the arrival rate. Those packets were assumed to be fixed-sized like ATM fixed-sized cell and the contention strategy was assumed to be short bus contention method for the output queue, and the mean delay length and the maximum 버퍼 length not to lose any packets were analysed.
