자전거 라이더들의 레크리에이션 전문화와 제품구매 결정요인의 관계 (Relationship between Recreation Specialization of Bicycle Riders and Purchase Decision Factors for Bicycle Products)

  • 본 연구는 자전거 라이더들의 레크리에이션 전문화와 제품구매 결정요인의 관계를 밝히는데 있다. 이를 위해 서울시 거주 자전거 라이더를 모집단으로 설정하고 층화표집법을 이용하여 351명의 표본을 추출하였다. 수집된 자료는 윈도우용 SPSS와 AMOS 18.0 통계 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였으며 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사회인구학적 특성에 따라 레크리에이션 전문화와 제품구매 결정요인에는 부분적으로 차이가 있었다. 특히, 동호회 참가자와 비참가자들간의 차이가 가장 분명하게 나타났다. 둘째, 레크리에이션 전문화의 일부 요인이 제품구매 결정요인의 일부 요인에 정(+)적, 부(-)적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 정서전문화가 제품구매 결정요인에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고 그 방향도 정(+)적으로 나타났다.

  • As assessment of quantitative energy expenditure for effective exercise is becoming more important, many researches about the monitoring system for exercise status or result have been actively carried out. In this case, however, bicycle riders feel restrained and uncomfortable because the riders should wear a belt-type electrocardiograph or a watch-type accelerometer or GPS system during the assessment of bicycle exercise. In this study, therefore, an electrocardiograph based on textile electrode was developed for measuring ECG and calculating heart rate from the bicycle rider without feeling restraint, and smartphone application was also developed for monitoring the heart rate.

  • 본 연구는 장거리 자전거 여행자들의 여행 경험 연구이다. 자전거 도로와 자전거 타는 행위는 현대인의 생활 패턴의 한 요소다. 이와 동시에 2009년 수립된 '국가 자전거 정책 마스터 플랜'의 의해 전국을 'ㅁ'자로 묶는 테마형 자전거길이 개발되고 있다. 1,300만 자전거 라이더들의 장거리 여행의 욕구는 증가하고 있다. 이에 따라 행정안전부는 2013년 <자전거 행복나눔> 앱을 개발하여 라이더들의 여행 편의를 도모하였다. 본 연구에서는 현재 자전거 앱을 사용하고 있는 39명의 대상자를 통해 본 앱의 사용성 평가를 하였다. 이후 고관여자 6인의 심층 면접을 통해 연구자가 세운 11가지의 가설을 평가했다. 자전거 여행자들에게 더 좋은 경험을 제공하기 위해서는 숙련도별, 테마별, 구간별 길 안내, 속도, 거리 관련 정보 제공, 타 자전거 라이더와의 소통, 준비물 정비 팁 제공, 바이크텔 통합을 통한 숙박 예약 시스템 구축, 한국어, 영어 호환 기능이 제공되어야 한다. 본 연구를 통해 장거리 자전거 여행자 맞춤 서비스 방안을 모색하는 데 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.

  • Central government and local self-governing bodies are actively promoting bicycle-riding as a solution for transportation, environment, energy and health. They put lot of efforts in the practice of bicycle-related policies such as building bicycle-related infrastructure and creating task force team to improve the bicycle-related systems. However, there is no substantive improvement in the city rail operation agencies regarding the bicycle-related facilities and operation. The expansion of bicycle-related infrastructure in city rail stations is urgently required considering the increase in demands from the bicycle-riders for the facility and bicycle-related service improvement. Accordingly, this study suggests a bicycle-riding vitalization plan linking the city rail and bicycle by providing with a bicycle custody place in the city rail stations which will have comprehensive convenience facilities including the safe-keeping facility for bicycles.

자전거 및 PMV(Personal Mobility Vehicle) 사용자의 주행 특성 및 헬멧 착용 실태 조사 (A Survey on Riding Characteristics and Helmet Wearing Conditions of Bicycle and PMV(Personal Mobility Vehicle) Riders)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the differences in riding characteristics and helmet wearing conditions between bicycle and PMV riders so that the basis data necessary for the development of suitable helmets for each group is provided. For this purpose, riding characteristics and helmet wearing conditions of bicycle and PMV users were investigated using online survey method and then the survey results were interpreted by in-depth interview conducted for bicycle and PMV users. The online survey results showed that the PMV group showed shorter driving distance and more driving frequency than bicycle group. This short driving distance was due to the limitation of battery capacity of PMVs. Helmet wearing rate was significantly lower in PMV group than in bicycle group, which was associated with relatively low chances to drive long distance on the motorway. In the PMV group, the 'urban helmets' were mainly used, in which the appearance of helmet was priorized, but in the bicycle group, the 'road cycle helmets' were mainly used, in which the light weight or ventilation were priorized. Urban helmets caused stronger pain and more fitting problems than road cycle helmets because the head shapes of Koreans were not properly applied to the helmet design. Since the fitting problem and pain intensity were the important causes that making PMV users not wear the helmets, it is necessary to develop the urban helmets reflecting the head shapes of Koreans in order to increase the helmet wearing rate of the PMV users.

The Factors Affecting Bicycle Riding Under the Influence in Korean Adults: The Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey

  • This study was conducted to identify the impact factors of bicycle driving under the influence (DUI) among Korean adults. The participants were 1,297 Korean adults. The prevalence of bicycle DUI was 11.7% of Korea adults. The factors affecting bicycle DUI were gender, education level, frequency of drinking, one-time drinking, vehicle DUI. To prevent bicycle DUI, we would need to facilitate appropriate drinking habits, provide treatments for disorders related to alcohol use, and change the social perception of bicycle DUI. Also, we should promote the establishment of the culture of bicycle helmet use, the establishment of a system that imposes fine to non-helmet-using riders, and education and publicity on the national level to recognize that bicycle DUI and DUI are mutually related.

실시간 대기오염 지도 작성을 위한 분산형 건강인지 자전거 시스템 구현 (Implementation of Distributed Health-aware Bicycle System for Making Real-time Air-pollution Map)

  • This paper presents an environmental navigation system which provides a guidance to the users of smart bicycle for a pollution-free route during their travel. The smart bicycle operates as a sensor node being composed of a distributed wireless sensor network over the whole urban area. Several environmental sensors measuring the amount of dust, CO, $CO_2$, $NO_2$ in the air are built into the smart bicycle to estimate the level of air pollution in the located area. Each smart bicycle sends/receives the measured sensor data and the city pollution map to/from the centralized server, which leads the bike-riders to a healthy route by providing the environmental navigation information. The proposed idea and its implementation give a useful insight on various application services with the distributed smart bicycles.

무인자전거 최적자세제어 (Optimal Posture Control for Unmanned Bicycle)

  • In this paper, we propose an optimal posture control law for an unmanned bicycle by deriving linear bicycle model from fully nonlinear differential equations. We calculate each equilibrium point of a bicycle under any given turning radius and angular speed of rear wheel. There is only one equilibrium point when a bicycle goes straight, while there are a lot of equilibrium points in case of turning. We present an optimal equilibrium point which makes the leaning input minimum when a bicycle is turning. As human riders give rolling torque by moving center of gravity of a body, many previous studies use a movable mass to move center of gravity like humans do. Instead we propose a propeller as a new leaning input which generates rolling torque. The propeller thrust input makes bicycle model simpler and removes input magnitude constraint unlike a movable mass. The proposed controller can hold optimal equilibrium points using both steering input and leaning input. The simulation results on linear control for circular motion are demonstrated to show the validity of the proposed approach.

자전거 주행시 경사 안정성에 대한 실험적 분석 (Experimental Analysis of Tilt-stability in Bicycling)

  • In development of an advanced bicycle simulator, the investigation of the interactions between bicycle and rider during cycling is paramount important because bicycle is a two-wheeled human-powered vehicle. Tn this work, the tilt stability. among various interactions, of bicycling is investigated experimentally, In the experiments, the tilt angles of the bicycle, riders body and head are measured, as the riding p;1th and the speed are varied. Subjects are asked to ride along four typical paths on rigid flat ground : the straight, C-curved, S-curved and circle paths. The results from extensive experiments with different subjects can be summarized as : 1) The tilt angles of bicycle and rider are almost out of phase during pedaling along the straight path. 2) The bicycle tilt angle is nearly proportional to the square of bicycle speed for the straight and curved paths, and to the curvature for the curved paths. The head tilt angle is the biggest and the body tilt angle is the smallest for the straight path, but the tendency is reversed for the C-curved path. During the curve maneuvering, the rider's head tends to tilt by less than 40% of the bicycle tilt angle.

A Study on the Effective Bicycle Fitting Method for Injury Prevention (For the Development of Bicycle Fitting System)

  • 본 논문에서는 자전거 피팅을 좀 더 정교하고 신속하게 진행하기 위해 자전거 피팅 소프트웨어와 하드웨어를 통합한 시스템을 개발하기 위한 DB구축을 목표로 포괄적인 자전거 피팅 방법의 표준화가 요구됨에 따라 다수의 임상결과와 실험을 통해 이에 맞는 자전거 피팅 방법을 제안한다. 이 자전거 피팅 방법은 심층상담, 자전거체크, 정교한 신체사이징 및 분석을 통해 라이더를 위한 자전거 세팅 값을 결정할 수 있으며 이 세팅 값으로 조정된 자전거에서 고정 라이딩을 통해 자세와 페달링 토크를 분석하고 이을 통해 가장 효율이 높은 세팅 값을 찾아 자전거를 라이더의 요구에 맞게 최적화 할 수 있는 피팅 방법에 대한 결과를 도출 했다. 이와 같은 피팅 방법은 자전거 라이더의 만족도를 높일 수 있으며 정확한 자전거 세팅 값을 통해 부상예방도 기대할 수 있다.
